I loved this place at first, but the fireworks going off in the Rv park itself, people up late yelling and blasting music, and fireworks across the street at 3 am (really all hours of the night), all with security doing absolutely NOTHING, are really getting to me - you can't get a good night's sleep at all. WiFi has been down for nearly a month too. I get that people want to party but the Rv park shouldn't be the place for that and at least cut the times for the fireworks to midnight or something, just for the love of god do SOMETHING for your guests.. read more

Two days she drove passed our campsite first on 7/3/2025 and staired at me saying nothing twice. then Friday 7/4/2025 at 2:30pm she drove in a motorcycle electric bike, pass our site again this time SHE FLIPPED ME OFF WITH A SMILE AND DROVE OFF. YES?!!!! Flipped me off!! with a smile. I have stayed at multiple campsites/KOAs all thru out California and Arizona for over 30 years and I have never come across someone so unprofessional, so derogatory and never, NEVER have me and my family felt harassed by the staff before. NEVER! I have sent email complaint to KOA and left a complaint voicemail message on the KOA phoneline on 7/4/2025 at 2:35 PM I also called and spoke to Robin myself on Monday 7/7/2025 and 12:30 PM We arrived at 2pm on the dot Thursday 7/3/2025, only to see the OFFICE WAS CLOSED FOR LUNCH, alright see if they left us our paperwork in the outside box so we can find our site and hook up our rig, NO! no paperwork was left for us. We called the number, and we were able to get our campsite number, but still no official check in paperwork with all the pertinent information we need like code for bathrooms. We had just drove 5 hours with 2 kids and my son had to pee I had to make him wait till 3PM when we were able to finally get out check in paperwork. The bathrooms/showers smelled like sewer. The campsites are very small. our pull-out slide was 2 feet from our neighbor's pull-out slide. I will never come to this KOA again. read more

Great Family Pet Friendly clean place to stay during a OHV camping riding trip. Many things to do; Off Road Straight from the camp site into Laughlin or Arizona- keep in mind these are dirt rocky trails with wild donkeys roaming around-Take a Complimentary Golf cart shuttle to the Casino to Eat, Gamble, use the pool's/ jacuzzi's, access the beach, go to the movies, get ice cream or buy fireworks. Ride direct to gas up at their gas station before a ride no need to take gas cans. Tipping driver is optional but we always did due to great service. It can be a lil noisy due to ohv rolling thru only in the pull thru site area nothing to concerning - if your used to Glamis/Dumont noise then Avi is quiet-Camping rates are reasonably priced- good customer service. Best of both worlds: Riding during the day & Casino life at night-Overall good time. read more

Stayed 2 nights. Nothing special at the campground. We did not go to the casino. Park was quiet, decent space between spots. Would not bother with paying more for golf course view. Security makes frequent rounds. Campground is dirt/sand, no grass. Our spot did not have a picnic table. Road traffic noise was minimal and fireworks minimal. Our dog is not bothered with fireworks, and we had the tv on. Ts ok for a short stay of a night or two. Probably wouldn't stay again although there are not a lot of choices. read more

Stayed 3 nights. Mold in showers and mildew on shower curtains. You can tell they don't clean the stall walls or scrub around the shower base because there is mold and gross stained calcium everywhere and marks on the stalls from water and dirt didn't change from day to day. Water pressure was terrible in bathrooms; had cold showers most of the time. Campground manager has a Trump flag so that should tell you a lot. Office was closed during open hours. Laundry hours not ideal when you're out all day at the beach. Wifi never worked but they claim they have it. Talked with other campers and they said it has never worked for them. Signal but it doesn't stay connected. Surprised this place can even carry the KOA brand name. It's so poorly maintained and dumpy. read more

So noisy, dirty, and not relaxing at all. Their green lawn utility carts are zooming back and forth close to your rig all day long. All you hear is those dumb utility tractors and it's exhausting. Not a moment of peace and quiet. Why do they have to drive so close to expensive trailers? Give us some space--jeez! And whipping through vacant sites while you're just trying to enjoy your space? They come within 2 feet of your chair or space, kick up dust and dirt, and it's so rude. Most KOAs have it as policy you can't drive through vacant spots as it's a safety issue. Every five minutes or less you'll hear one whizzing by. No joke. And speed limits? This place might as well be a race track. At night, it's nonstop fireworks. Will not be back. This place was awful. Don't get me started on the bathrooms and terrible water quality. And PS, they don't wipe down tables or sanitize anything between customers. So you could wind up with a picnic table that someone set their septic hose on. read more

They say they have WiFi but half the park doesn't. They don't tell you when you check in. We were offered to be moved but we're all set up. Fireworks go off 365 days a year and are allowed until 10 pm during the week and midnight on the weekends. They don't answer the phones. They don't return calls if you leave a voicemail. Customers beware! My name is Troy Evans Iam 54 years old. On 10-14-2024 me my wife and 16 year old son went to the avi casino to eat and catch a movie but instead of enjoying our night out at this establishment we were totally humiliated and accused of stealing a bag of chips from the subway located inside the casino. Before I share our horrifying experience in this casino the pictures I have provided is all the employees that were involved in this disgraceful and outrageous attack on me and my family. The horrifying facts of what took place that day are as follows: On 10-14-2024 around 6pm me and my family entered the avi casino and stopped by the subway and bought a sandwich. We ate and walked over to stand in line to buy our movie tickets. While standing in line we were approached by Manuel the security guard at which time Manuel reached over and grabbed my wrist saying excuse me sir you have to come with me we seen you on security cameras stealing a bag of chips from subway. Thus implying to everyone in line with us that they already reviewed their cameras and caught me being a thief. Immediately I asked Manuel what he is talking about and he replied that the lady in subway named Geneva told them that she seen me with her own 4 eyes putting a bag of chips in my pockets and the cameras also seen me. At this point we walked over to subway and I confronted my accuser. I asked Geneva if she seen me stealing a bag of chips and she replied yes I did see you sir and so did the cameras so just admit it sir! I replied great show me the camera footage right now. That's when Daniel head of security told me we are reviewing the cameras right now and we will deal with you shortly. During this time period that all this is taking place there were children holding onto their parents scared out of their minds I would imagine! I had subway employees and avi casino employees loudly accusing me of stealing and of course me the innocent senior citizen defending myself quite loudly. Imagine the horror everyone young and old were having to experience? Wow so not cool and so unprofessional! Needless to say once security really did check the footage it revealed that Geneva flat out lied about seeing me stealing chips and that it never happened.... Hmmm let's back up a minute didn't Manuel say come with me sir we seen you on video cameras stealing chips? So Geneva lied to security and then security lies to me but wait the lies don't stop there. Obviously after being disgraced and humiliated in front of all our community members me and my family had no interest in watching the movie so we left. I contacted a lady named Judy Bricker who is the Executive Assistant To The MIT Chairman Fort Mojave Indian Tribe. Ms. Bricker asked us to send a complaint via email so we did. I received a phone call from some manager at the avi casino and he apologized. However during this phone call he asked me what they could do to make this terrible experience right by us and I replied the actions we would like to see taken are right there on the complaint and he said ok but besides that what can we do for you and your family? I said that is up to you sir he replied ok I will put a nice package together and send it to you via mail. I replied thank you! Needless to say it is now 28 days later and nothing has arrived in the mail and no returned call back as promised. If that isn't adding insult to injury I don't know what is! I recently sent Ms. Bricker a follow up email bringing her up to date of what has transpired since she left it up to her staff to handle this situation and as of to date she has not reached out to me. So since being dehumanized and horribly mistreated by this establishment my family fully intends to shed light on this business and its horrific business practices and policies.We will use every social media platform available to alert the community and all my senior citizen friends as to what can happen if they choose to come spend money at this establishment. I plan on using other tools available to me as well. This will be a bit lengthy, please bare with me. 1) we pull in at approximately 1:15pm, office is closed, call this number. We call, no answer. Now what? We wait 5 minutes and call again. The guy tells us to go to the casino. No, we're pulling a 35ft trailer and I'm NOT walking over there after being on the road for 6 hours. Ok, they'll send someone over. 2) 2 females pull up and they have packages to take inside. That's fine but there was no greeting. No, " Hi. Sorry about the wait. We'll be right with you." Nothing. 3) Finally, someone to check us in! I did not get her name, young girl maybe in her twenties and just plain rude. It was all over her face that she did not want to be there and personified that off onto us. 4) following morning another camper BANGS on my door at 6:45am. It sounded like the swat team trying to break down my door. We have a small water leak, we know all about it, thanks. 5) 2nd day, same camper, he now thinks it's ok to jet on through our campsite over and over again on his Jazzy. We have words with him. My husband proceeds to finish his lunch and off to the office he goes to let them know what transpired. Get to the office and said camper is in there, with security, telling them that we accosted him. He said he was watering the plants. My husband says, " You're a koa paid employee?" Camper, " No, they let me water the plants. " Husband? "So, you're not an employee yet you bang on MY door before 7:00am and you feel it's ok to jazzy through MY camp all day long, looking in my camper door, making my wife uncomfortable?" Camper denied knocking on our door. My husband looks at the girl (same rude person) and says, " Check your security tape, you'll see." Absolutely NOTHING was done. No apology to us whatsoever. 6) this place is nothing but a glorified parking lot that packs you in like sardines and treats you like crap. My neighbor was SO CLOSE to us that we couldn't open our awning. This is absolutely NOT the kind of place that deserves a koa logo. read more

The online pictures of the campground and beach are deceiving. The beach at least the time we were there looked like a stagnant lagoon but to be fair I'm sure they don't control the water flow in there since it comes from the river. Although we did not go in the casino it is located far and away from the Bullhead and Laughlin large casinos area by about 10 miles so you miss out on all that if you stay there.The price was reasonable but nothing special about the campground but would be fine if you wanted a quiet place removed from the casinos and nightlife of downtown Laughlin. We turned around and left the campground without staying and went to Laughlin downtown area where they have a 700 spot RV park which was nice because it was right across the street from several casinos and in the more desirable area with nice views of the casinos lit up at night. Since we've made our reservations by phone we had to eat the $45 for the reservation but we feel it was worth it to be closer to the large casinos downtown. read more

First time camping in a Koa campground. The location is nice and not too far from the main downtown area in Laughlin. The grounds are clean and so were the restrooms, even though we only used them once. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the amenities from the Avi casino because of the weather but it was a great stay. We will definitely be staying here when in Laughlin. read more

Park was well kept, but had issues with the following: Lady at front desk was rude. Went to get ice, lady at front desk out to lunch fir THREE HOURS!!!! Was going to do laundry, asked for quarters, rude lady said to get them in the laundry room, no sign posted for this! Front desk lady needs sole customer skills training. I am currently a guest at this KOA Journey Park. The park has an affiliation with the AVI Casino. There is a reciprocal agreement between the two facilities. The pool, the spa and the boat ramp are available for use if you are a guest at the KOA. If it was not for this arrangement I would give the RV park a lower rating. Here's why... 1. FIREWORKS are legal and are used by the locals around the Colorado River. This is not for a short period of time, but almost every evening. The result is a terrible experience for MY DOGS. IF YOU ARE A PET FRIENDLY PARK, there should be a warning giving to those people with dogs. I realize that kind of truthfulness would effect the bottom line. However, it is the RIGHT THING TO DO! 2. It's great to have a fire department across the street. However, they test their sirens before 8 am everyday. 3. The entire facility where the RV's Hook-Up and the roads within the park are finely ground gravel/sand. This makes it impossible t avoid dust in your RV. During the high winds, be prepared! I have tried to reach the office twice. Unfortunately no one has been there. I wanted to inquire on leaving early. My calls go unreturned. (For the record, there are a lot of people that feel much differently than me. However, that is the reason why there are so many different flavors at Baskin-Robbins ice cream parlor.) read more

This is a popular "Snowbird" RV park. There are also a number of long term residents. Most spaces are 90' long pull through full hookup sites. Winter weather is mild. They do get a fair amount of wind. We're snowbirds and are here for ourr second winter. And have reserved our same space for next year. It's nice they allow you to reserve a specific site. This park is also close to shopping and most any other needs. ( Costco is in Las Vegas ) Best fuel prices are across the River in Ft Mohave, about 3 miles away. read more

Fireworks are only permitted NEAR the KOA, not within it. We had fireworks being blown up IN THE KOA CAMPGROUND right over us. We had hot embers floating into our awning, which could have set our rig on fire. We had to hose our rig down to make sure it wouldn't light up. Security is pretty non-existent. They roll right by people who are violating the campground's rules. It's supposed to be quiet hours at 10 p.m. They let this latino family near us blare their Spanish music well past 11:30 over this past weekend. People setting off fireworks left and right and they did absolutely nothing to stop it. This morning (Sunday), my husband went to shower and there was a homeless person sleeping on the floor spread across the bathroom stalls in the men's bathroom. The door doesn't lock well, so it's easy for transients to get in. This was off-putting and a security risk for families with young children. Security needs to do better and be better, and not be so afraid to tell people to knock it off. And perhaps start checking the doors on the bathrooms to make sure they're secure if management isn't going to fix the door lock problem. read more

I like the location very much right across the street from the casino where you have access to the casino beach and pool. My issue is that there are soooo many open available spaces and they have to park someone right next to us..we had someone the spot over when we arrived and now with all these open available spots three campers in a row that just doesn't make sense when again THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF AVAILABLE SPOTS. The spots are pretty tight to begin with so it feels a little cramped. If it was busy totally different story..also if you have dogs sensitive to fireworks this is a no go Friendly janitorial staff who stopped us and brought a picnic table for us. Easy access to amenities. Update: camper next to us left all night about 8pm and left two screaming puppies that barked all night...all freaking night...spread your people out!! read more

Our trip here was amazing here until the last day... Sunday! Huge complaint over house keeping! House keeping at 8am was banging on our door while were asleep in bed still since it was 8am! They banged on the door open it & yelled house keeping. Never in my life have I been to a hotel who wakes you up! The nerve how freakin rude. We have a baby & up a lot at night. The Avi is family oriented , the pictures on the website are great pictures but it is smaller in person . The Avi is like Circus Circus in Vegas. It has a lot if things to entertain kids but the rooms need more TLC . There were hairs on the floor when we checked in, the shower heads are so bad they need to be changed . The water would not drain from the shower . Love the food court , and the fact that they have a casino. The staff is super friendly which I really liked , but unfortunately I will not be coming back. The rooms need upgrades .I also asked for a non smoking floor and there were people smoking in the hallway. read more

The room was nice and the staff were consistently helpful. The room had two TV's, very poor reception and only a few channels. No phone service anywhere. Only had plastic cups for cocktails, wine and beer throughout the casino. I was told by staff that they can't use glass because of covid. Big lots, beautiful area, away from the loud highway. Management is pleasant and professional. Facilities and hook ups are functional, garbage is close by and regularly emptied. They also have a golf cart that will pick you up for free to go to the casino! Would definitely come back! read more

My review encompasses both the KOA and the Avi Casino/Hotel, as the Casino/Hotel is a Significant part of the KOA experience here. Yes, the KOA is dusty and hot. You're in the middle of the friggin Mojave Desert. Staff keep it very clean. It's quiet. People are exaggerating the fireworks. In the Summer, I'd avoid the whole area completely. I have a great A/C in my 33' Winnebago, but it couldn't defeat 122f. If you're forced to stay in the area, this place is a great value for the dollar in comparison to the other local RV places. But if you don't NEED to stay here in the summer, I'd keep driving. The Hotel part: not so great. Casinos in Vegas haven't smelled this bad since the early 90's. Get with the times, Indians. The restaurants are low quality. Roaches are common. The pool is nicely designed, but overcrowded on weekends. The river beach is a nice touch, though. The movies were expensive. The movie staff were VERY nice, but slow as molasses in January. The valet staff at the hotel will drive you to/from the Avi and they are very courteous. Kind of hard to get them on the phone from the KOA, but once you do they are very quick All in all, I'd call it a C+ to B- I've seen worse, and I've seen better. One day before the start of our planned family vacation I ended up with kidney stones and spent the next couple of days in the ER and a urologist appointment. I was able to call the Avi KOA over 24 hours prior to our arrival and canceled our reservation. Unfortunately they wouldn't refund our deposit . Just prior to this phone call I called the Casablanca Casino in Mesquite Nevada to cancel our one night reservation for the day before arriving at the Avi. This phone call was made the day we were scheduled to arrive. The Casablanca was very understanding and refunded my deposit without me even asking for it. I would've gladly provided the Avi with the proof of my medical emergency however they could care less. The Avi has lost any and all of my future business. read more

This is a big RV park , No grass or trees just gravel. The problem is that they sell fireworks somewhere close and every night people shoot them off it gets so annoying and our dogs go crazy so for that reason we won't stay here again . I think when people make a reservation they should mention it can get noisy. You shouldn't have to listen to fireworks all night long . Big problem ! read more
