Friendly staff and very accommodating. Nice clean park. Next to BLM land for ATVs - fun!

Didn't know how good we had it until we left. :( This is a great little park. Saundra, the manager, is one of the most conscientious and caring people we've ever met at an RV park. She is never in a bad mood, either, it's actually incredible. We left because Golden Valley can be a bit chilly and windy in the winter, went to Bullhead City where it's slightly warmer. You can read that review - don't go where we went! We will definitely be back to Tradewinds and recommend it to anyone. Very affordable, no crazy rules, good residents, safe and secure, and just an all-around nice place to be. read more

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed this park, the staff and everyone we met. The park is clean and quiet and everything is open. Very clean showers & laundry room. If we're this way again and need a place we'll definitely be back. read more

We really enjoyed this place. Good launching point for exploring Lake Havasu and Lake Mead. Saundra works in the office and she was incredibly kind and welcoming. Our pull-through full hookup site was level and spacious. Large TV and laundry room. The exercise room even has elliptical and bike machines, which is a rare find at smaller RV parks. Nice! Free wifi was slow but my AT&T hotspot worked ok. There is only 1 private shower & bathroom for both men and women even though there are over 70 sites in the park. Very strange. Perhaps they could consider expanding the restrooms? It's a long drive to anything except Subway and Family Dollar. read more

Trade Winds is on our list of go-to getaway places. We live in Boulder City, near Las Vegas, and take weekends to get out of Dodge. Had not been here for about a year. They still had our name and address and motor home info in their data base. Cathie is very, very nice, both on the phone and in person. We requested a site near the showers and rest rooms. We got the space closest to them. Individual rest rooms and hot showers and laundry are spotless. Lots of XLNT quality washers and dryers. Vending machines with washing products and coin-changing machines are there, too. The shower has a posted rule stating shower floor must be dry before you leave. Any exceptions will be banned from the showers. Cool. There is a dry mop attached to the wall so the rule can be abided. Very cool. Golden Valley is mostly open stretches of mountain and desert land. When the wind blows, dust flies. The park is all gravel, including the spaces, my only reason for a 4 star, not a 5. Our space was level. The water and electricity hookups were in good condition. We have a 30 amp rig. Also on the post is a 20 amp outlet that can be connected to an extension cord for power to a bar-b-que or whatever outdoor light or appliance you have. A bar-b-que grill is available for use. The rec room is terrific. Pool table, shuffleboard table, big screen TV with comfortable chairs to watch movies. Community puzzle was underway, just sit down and add the pieces you can. Also, an iron was there for use. There are quite a few snow birds and full-time residents here. Huge lending library of movies and books available to check out at no charge. Wi-fi connection is free and fast. The grounds are clean and well kept. A wonderful collection of old farm equipment and tractors is placed all over the park and there is an enclosed dog run. The drive between here and Laughlin is about 20 miles. Be aware that from Golden Valley to Laughlin/Bullhead City has a stretch of downhill, curvy road. Advise gearing down and not riding your brakes. The other direction is just the opposite. I think the road between Trade Winds and Las Vegas is about the same distance. The road surface, currently, is a bit better through Laughlin. I like the Trade Winds very much and we will keep it on our list and visit more often. read more

What a nice place! Spotless clean, very friendly and helpful staff. The only regret we have, we are leaving tomorrow after extending twice our initial plan to stay just for 3 nights. Tonight they did a poker run and Sloppy Joes as part of the Halloween celebration and invited everyone on the campground. For sure we will be back! read more

Was there on July 2014 with motor home. Arrived late, around 8 pm. Assistant Manager saw me from his RV, and came over to greet me. Told me to select an empty space and settle up in the morning. Shook my hand. Friendly greeting. Next morning took tour of facilities. Impressively clean laundry room and bathrooms, each with one shower. Every thing immaculately clean and in great condition. Clubhouse has tv, sofa, tables, chairs ( for card games and eating ), free billiard table, air hockey table, puzzles, books...and nicely kept clean. I was really impressed how immaculately clean the manager kept up the facilities. We stayed there an extra night, after seeing the facilities. There is also a Barbeque outside the club house and a roofed patio eating area. The area outside is decorated with tractors and hay bails, and fire rings, and sitting areas. Nice place to stay and relax. All this is positive. The red headed lady manager is nice and friendly and can tell you all about the area and facilities. On the negative side, I did not see a swimming pool and it is very hot in the summer in Golden Valley, Arizona. Also the restaurant on the main road, not associated with the RV park is closed, it would have been convenient to have a full service restaurant, open next door to the RV park. So the only time we were outside was very early morning hours to go for free coffee at the clubhouse and in the evening to play cards with the few brave souls who like the 100 degree plus weather of the summer desert. It was 104 degrees in Golden Valley, Arizona, but just 17 miles away in Laughlin, Nevada were we spend the following night it was 111 degrees, so Golden Valley is a little easier on the motor home air conditioner. Our air conditioner took longer to cool the interior of the motor home in the day time in Laughlin, Nevada...so my recommendation is stay at Golden Valley, Arizona and drive over to Laughlin, Nevada for casino entertainment. I am looking forward to coming back again, this time in the Spring or Fall when the temperatures are more agreeable for me and the wife. read more

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the restrooms and laundry room are clean and well-equiped. The large clubroom is comfortable and has free coffee all day. The wifi reception is fast and dependable. Park is easy to find, just off SR68. Level gravel sites. An impressive collection of old farm and mining equipment is placed around the park. Quiet location for exploring Las Vegas, Kingman, Laughlin, Lake Mohave and Lake Mead, and a perfect place to spend the winter. read more

We stayed here for most of the winter. Had a good time with potlucks and game nights, visiting with good people. Then things went bad. We bought a new travel trailer. We had moved most of our belongings to the new RV but not everything when I gave the manager Roger a key so that he could let someone in to see our couch while we were gone one day. Later that night I went in to get the rest of our things and noticed our gun was missing. The next morning I asked the person that had went in if he saw a gun and he assured me he hadn't. I went to the manager and asked about it, he denied knowing anything about it at first, finally he admitted that he knew who took it...someone else that he had let in for no reason. He got our gun back for us. Later we went to the office to talk to the manager about it, as we felt uncomfortable with a thief living across the way. Roger said we got our gun back he didn't understand why we didn't drop it. I told him I'd like to talk to the owner and he said no you will not talk to the owner, we are the managers and run the park how we want and if you don't like it then maybe you should leave. So thats what we did, we moved to a different park. I looked up the owners name and number gave him a call, left a message but havn't heard back from him. I would not recommend this park to anyone. Of all the traveling we have done this was the worst experience we ever had. read more

We stayed for 2 months at Tradewinds RV Park in Golden Valley, AZ. It is a wonderful place. It's quiet, the scenery is beautiful. Fay and Roger, who manage the place are very helpful, and informative. The clubhouse has a large screen TV, a pool table, a kitchen and the laundry facilities and prices are more than reasonable. The free WIFI has excellent signal. Everything is clean, well-maintained. Just an all around perfect place to stay. Could not be happier with our experience here. I'd recommend Tradewinds RV Park to anyone. read more
