Here's the revised review with that detail included in a factual, non-speculative way:
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was so uncomfortable that I feel it's important to share.
I came in with inspiration for a nail set I wanted. The nail artist explained that she wasn't able to recreate the design, which I completely understood. Not every artist specializes in every style, and that's perfectly okay. We agreed to move forward with a very basic gel set instead.
What wasn't okay was how I was treated afterward. The nail artist became noticeably rude and had an attitude throughout the interaction. Then the receptionist made a phone call and, while I was sitting right there, said, "The customer is rude and difficult," before handing the phone to the nail artist. The nail artist continued speaking on the phone with who I assume was the owner. Throughout the conversation, they were speaking in another language that I couldn't understand, which made the situation even more uncomfortable because I had no idea what was being said while I was sitting there.
At that point, I shut down and simply repeated that I was happy with the basic gel set we had already agreed on. I never raised my voice, argued, or acted disrespectfully. Then they tried to hand me the phone to speak with the person on the other end. I politely refused because I didn't understand why I should have to defend myself over a misunderstanding that had already been resolved.
The entire situation felt incredibly unprofessional and humiliating. If there had been a concern, it should have been handled privately not by discussing me within earshot and attempting to involve me in a phone call. It wasn't the fact that they couldn't do the design I wanted that bothered me. It was the lack of professionalism, the attitude, and the way I was made to feel as a customer.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be returning. read more
