Booked through ClassPass for a European Deep Pore Cleansing 60 mins. We didn't officially start on time and ended earlier, so I would say around 53 mins instead of the full 60 mins. I haven't done this type of facial before, so I'm not sure what to expect. The actual facial was surprisingly pleasant. There is some light sales pitch, but I kindly declined and didn't feel like they were super pushy. The facial room was decent, although the doors were thin so you can hear a lot of noise from the outside. Regina started with a light cleanse and shoulder-and-above massage. The steam process was a little strong and hard to breathe. The exfoliation with the Clarisonic brush is a little rough. The extraction was painful (around a 9 out of 10 pain scale), but I actually preferred it, as I know she's trying her best to clean all of my pores. After extraction, she put on some medicated cream and then used this high-frequency wand to zap all the bacteria (2 out of 10 pain scale). Then she finished off with a mango mask, eye treatment and a hand massage. The mango mask smelled amazing, the eye treatment was soothing and the heated back thing was great. Yesterday I came to get my lashes done, I called before and they were very accommodating. I walked in and they were nice. Regina is very sweet but the lash glue they use it not good at all , causing a lot of eye irritation and discomfort. The lashes themselves look beautiful but it feels very uncomfortable. I have a normal lash tech that I go to in the city but was in a crunch for time and decided to try this place. Great experience with facials, wished came here sooner. Had experience with two different aestheticians, Lola and Regina. Both are very knowledgeable and skilled, explain everything they are doing and give advice on skin maintenance. I particularly appreciated the face massage and hand massage while you have a face mask on. Yes, they do offer add one but not pushy about it and even with 2 add ons, the price for the facial was still less than my prior place. I slightly preferred Regina as she is more extensive with extractions and firmer with face massage, but still her extractions more gentle than other Eastern European experiences. It was clean and only two other people were in there at the time I went. I was able to come in earlier than my appointment too. Which I appreciated to fit in a doctors appointment after. I'm not one to leave a bad review or a review at all but I just have to share my horrendous waxing experience I had. I had my entire legs, arms, and bikini line waxed by Rosa. I started off by letting her know I've never gotten my legs waxed before but I get my arms waxed regularly. She offered me to upgrade to the chocolate sensitive skin wax which cost $10 extra per body part and having sensitive skin, I agreed. For the first 15 mins of my leg wax, I'm not exaggerating, but she would not shut up about how coarse my leg hair was and kept basically shaming me for shaving. (As if we all haven't heard shaving is bad for coarse hair). She visibly got frustrated with the thickness of my hair and after telling her I avoid waxing my leg hair cause of how painful it is and the multiple painful Brazilians I've gotten, she once again told me it's cause I shave and need to stop. LIKE GIRL I GOT IT!!! So at this point I had it with that and said "Okay I understand, thanks." She got the message and we continued in silence. Unfortunately I had my right leg, bikini line, and both arms to go after that... and I felt as if she got more aggressive with the wax after that point but I thought maybe I was making it up. (Now this is where it gets BAD) After the wax, I immediately noticed some skin missing/peeling. I didn't think much of it until I woke up the next morning with big red marks all over my arms and thighs, and she CANNOT blame it on my "coarse hair" because I had it in freaking areas where I don't even have hair... like my inner elbow and upper arm. Mind you, my arm hair is pretty thin too. So I had to go about my week long vacation looking like I got abused with very visible, large marks all over my body. I have gotten plenty of waxes throughout the years in various parts of my body and never experienced this. What was the point of the sensitive skin wax?? In addition, I had a fat bruise on one inner thigh/bikini line. She got wax all over my socks. AND when I asked her to do the top of my bikini line, she went "only for you" as if she was doing me a favour doing something that's a part of a $25 bikini line wax. Rosa, thanks for ruining my skin and being the reason I had to wear long pants for majority of my trip. Also, maybe don't body hair shame when your job literally depends on body hair?! I really love my lashes! I came here yesterday to get a lash lift and an eyebrow wax. I believe the person that did my lashes is named Regina. (I hope I am right!) She was very lovely and accommodating. Took the time to explain to me the whole process as it was happening because I went there with no clue and at a whim using my left over Class Pass points. It was relaxing though some parts did sting however very briefly. Regina was there making sure it passed with damp towelettes in case. I believe Laura did my eyebrows and did them with ease, making sure they were trimmed and even. I wanted both lashes and eyebrows to look natural. My shoulders were tense and I wanted a chair massage but there's nothing in the neighborhood with that. Other than the mall, but it's just not worth the price. So, I searched on Groupon to see if there were any deals in the area. For $30 I got a 30min facial and 30 min massage. All I really needed was the massage. For $30, what the heck why not. This is a small beauty store. Two chair for pedicure, manicure and two/three rooms for other services. I probably wouldn't come here to get my nails done as there are tons of other places around with a lot more color selection and services. Since it was only a 30 minutes massage I could only have my upper body done. Make sense. There's just not enough time for the whole body. The room was super small. Enough for just the bed and two small table for things. Not much room for the technician to move around. I basically got only one of my shoulder massaged. I guess she couldn't get to the other side because, time? Not enough room to stand? I'm not sure what happened. Once that was done I had to flip to the other side for a facial. When she said that I thought she meant to just roll over. Nop, I had to put my face where my feet was. Never had to do that before. Once I swapped she then proceeded to push the table down so there would be space for her to sit and give me a facial. A 30 minutes facial is just a wash and a mask, with the steamer on. There's just not enough time for extractions. She did suggest I buy a solution for my pimples since I was breaking out. $19 for a small bottle. I bought it since it was inexpensive. I stumbled upon a Groupon for this salon. I decided that I'd give it a go! The Groupon was for a 30 minute massage and 30 minute facial. When I got there, I was directed into a room where I was directed to undress. The woman (wish I got her name) who came in was very friendly and explained every step of the process to me. I even decided to pay extra for the blackhead extraction ($20). It was so worth it. I walked out and my face felt great! The express facial is the comes with the honey & milk mask. The facial also comes with a neck/shoulder/face massage. She was very gentle. After my facial, I got my massage. It was great! I felt so calm and relaxed. It came with hot rocks and heating pads. Although the salon is a bit tiny and crowded, the service they provided was great. PS: No parking on the premises so leave some extra time to look for a parking spot. What a disappointing experience! I came here with a groupon thinking I has getting a great deal $39 for a 30 min facial and 30 min massage. (They are falsely on groupon as Elite Full Spa so you won't see all the bad reviews under their actual name). The massage was adequate. During the facial I was offered several add-ons and products. It was a little too much especially since her breath was horrible as she was talking so close to my face. I did cave and got an eyebrow wax. After the wax she told me she wasn't going to charge me for the wax. I thought she was just being generous. When it was over she pushed more products and again she won and I bought an item. Well, I did end up paying for the wax despite the fact the girl told me I didn't have to and then I was charged a $3 tax for using a groupon. I never heard of such a thing. Not good at all. I'm all about that 1st impression, good service and how well you know your job...I didn't experience that here! After not having a facial done for nearly 2 years, the esthetician suggested I upgrade to a deep facial. The lady worked on my face for about 5 minutes, the rest of the time was all about selling me a facial scrub, a hydrating mask, and an anti-aging cream. I was so mad... I didn't get to relax for 5 minutes, and to top it off, she didn't work on my black and whiteheads. I also asked for a regular mani/pedi, of course they talked me into upgrading to gel-mani/pedi....finding my wicked nail polish color in gel became a 3 people search. after 2 polish changes, I was still not happy with the color. The shape was horrible and my poor cuticles were horribly mutilated. I wanted to get out of there so bad, but I still needed to deal with the front desk and say no to all the products the facial lady recommended. I won't come back here simply because the whole experience was about upgrading and upselling, it was never about me as a potential future client. My experience with this salon is one of mixed feelings. Overall I will say that my waxing both times I was very pleased with the service itself both Laura and Sylvia did a great job on my wax and It was not at all painful. Also I was able to book an appointment both times without any hassle. Once on the same day and another on a weekend early in the AM. I was genuinely pleased with that although after reading reviews It could of just been lack of customers that allowed for the accommodations. However I believe a lot of the Cons outweigh the actual good service they provide. 1. There is no lot and parking is metered but also has alternate side rules so I had to drive for a bit for a spot. Also the salon space is rather small. The mani/pedi stations are right in the waiting area and i essentially watched a women get a pedicure while waiting. The aesthetician was with a client and there was only one on staff so i waited almost 35 mins past the time of my appointment. I wasn't in a rush but it did lead me to have to put more money into the meter which was a little bit away from the salon. 2. I found the place through Groupon and purchased the wax at a discount which says can be repurchased every 6 months. On my first visit they suggested the gentle wax for $3 more and I agreed because that is not something they offer on the Groupon site. Then there is another fee for using a Groupon which I was already expecting as many salons do add this "tax". Overall an extra 6 dollars and tip I paid regular price but since the wax was good I wasn't unhappy about It. The only con with the wax is I'm not sure she used a new stick after every dip. I did mention this during my session. 3. While paying they do continuously offer the package specials but as I do not wax often enough i was not interested but they keep pushing. I am all for listening to a business pitch but once a customer expresses disinterest I believe firmly in moving on. It was only mildly annoying but made me rethink a second visit. I did purchase a second Groupon and come back for a second wax and this is where the real issue was. 4. When i arrived i was asked if i had been there before and i said yes. I was told that I can only use a Groupon ONCE and it was for new customers only even though no where in the print on Groupon or in the salon was this written. After some back and fourth They did honor the price but told me if I came back again I wouldn't be honored. I believe the point of being able to purchase every 6 months is to continuously Bring customers back - but clearly that is not the case. It honestly doesn't cost that much more to pay full price but the way I was treated, and the attitude regarding the use of the Groupon I had already decided not to return for a 3rd time. I got a European facial here on a groupon and let me tell you it was anything but relaxing. She popped all of my pimples and started stabbing ones that didn't have heads yet. She then proceeds to tell me how awful my skin is and that this needs to be done even after my repeated efforts of throwing my face in the opposite direction or telling her verbally to stop. It was SO painful, for someone who deals with peoples faces this lady was not gentle. 7 hours later my skin looks worse than what it did before i went in. (Mind you i only had a few white heads snd blackheads here and there) now my face looks like i have full blown cystic acne. Never coming back here again! I wished, as you said, your esthetician had the ability to individually refill the spaces with the eyelashes as I was told she will do. Unfortunately she didn't. The person who originally does my eyelashes here in Boston has been doing it for over a year and I have NEVER had an issue like this (glued several eyelashes and meshed into my natural ones). The reason you see them long is because those are my natural eyelashes! I have long eyelashes so your esthetician instead of taking the time to glue them carefully and individually did a terrible job and ruined my natural ones. That's my Complaint, paying for a job that was not properly done! Now you want to excuse your esthetician and basically insinuate that I am placing the fault on her. For what reason I would do that?? I went to your establishment thinking the person will do a good job and she failed to do that and paid $45 for getting my natural eyelashes ruined. Instead of showing a good customer service practice and fixing a customer's complaint you disregarded me and accused me of placing fault on your employee. So I got my lashes done here through ClassPass. Overall the salon is cute and small and the ladies were accommodating. However I do not like the fact that my lady was eating a donut while doing my eyelashes. Also I am pretty sure that the extensions I was given or not mink. So they're super itchy and uncomfortable. I feel them on my eyelids and they are constantly scratching my eyeball. They look great, but I should've at least been educated on the type of lashes that they use. As i read through sone of these comments, I couldn't agree more! My husband got me the $120 package "luxurious spa for her" and it suppose to be for 1 hr & 45 min., i felt like the whole thing was a waste and in a rush. The lady was selling me about other packages while giving me a facial and mainly kept bringing it back up here and there throughout my time, find it very annoying while your trying to relax. Then, the massage that i was suppose to get was even worse... felt only like 10 min., just lotion with a little massage here and there. no effort!! Over all, the package sounds really good but the actual thing is not worth it. Save your money somewhere else!! read more
