FFF. Fresh.Friendly.Fun. A busy restaurant (this means everything is FRESH) that gives excellent friendly service. Food is ordered at the counter then either given to you with your coffee or brought out to you when it's ready. The kitchen area is open. Staff is friendly to owners and to one another. Gluten-free options.

Super, super, super cute cafe with organic coffee, and an assortment of pastries, sandwiches, and salads. I had a meeting in the area and popped on over to Laura's Coffee Corner afterwards to get some work done. I ended up staying here for over 4 hours! The music was on point, the food was delicious, and their coffee kept me grinding till closing time. While I was here I had an iced almond milk latte, the spinach, pear, and pecan salad (added avocado), and a chocolate chip banana bread. I asked for a large coffee since I needed to get plenty of work done, and it did just the trick! It was a bit bitter than what I'm used to, but I didn't mind! The salad was delicious and generous in size! I loved the dressing it came with and also loved how it came on the side instead of pre-mixed. The choco chip banana bread was my favourite though! I can't ever go into a coffee shop or bakery without trying their banana bread, and this one was a winner. The slice was HUGE, and I enjoyed and devoured every last bite. I'd order loaves on loaves of this if I could! The girl taking my order was super sweet and loved that I added avo on my salad even saying that she can't believe she's never done that before. As she was leaving her shift, she told me that she got a salad to go and avo thanks to me! I'm just happy that I was able to spread the avocado love. The interior of this place is adorable! There's a covered patio, which is great both in the summer and winter, there are cool lighted signs hanging throughout the cafe, the walls are covered with cool art pieces, and there's even an old piano out on the patio. There are plenty of tables and outlets, but up until the last hour they were open they were really busy! A lot of the people who came in seemed to be regulars and the staff seemed to know many of the customers, which I think is always a good sign of a local business. This place is a bit of a trek to get here, but I wouldn't mind coming back to get some work done and enjoy more of that banana bread. The drive is worth it.

Super cute coffee spot. The baristas are lovely. Only thing is I wish the pastries were heated up, but I also didn't ask lol

Not the average coffee destination. This very successful business continues on with everything made on site. Today the Hot Italian Panini sandwich was delicious and the coffee is always great. Laura's has great homemade style baking, sweet cakes and muffins. The list goes on for breakfast and lunches. I will always pick for his first.

This is an amazing coffee, brunch, lunch and hangout spot! Homey decor, lots of space, fairly quiet in the outer sitting area but then there's a boardwalk patio area if you want to be out in the sun! Chorizo Hash was very tasty and the spice of the sausage blended well with the garnishes and potatoes. Coffee was excellent!

I find it a convenient spot for my cool down treat as it's on the strip right close to the foot of White Rock Pier, Canada's longest. Ask for samples first before you settle on a flavour or two. My favourite for gelato right now is still Bella Gelateria, in Vancouver. Maya's selection of gelato is limited, but 100% worth it especially when it's 35°C / 95F outside. There's plenty of restaurants nearby as well with several fish & chip spots & burger joints. Parking is a challenge along the entire strip, but if you're patient, unlike me, you'll find a spot so worry not. Keep in mind that the strip which runs along the beach, draws heavy traffic. Hello from the Other Side!!!…read more Yup ... Your GTA Yelper is out in the West Coast enjoying the beaches, the wildlife, the mountains, the oceans... Ugh. I Just want to go back HOME!!! LOL! When in VanCity, do what the natives do. Go to the BEACH! There are several beaches to go to and when finished playing sunburn roulette, one usually finds themselves famished! Hmmm... Didn't have fish'n'chips for a while. In fact, it's been like dog's years and some. AND I saw Pelican Rouge on the way in on my e-scooter (yeah... love these things). This place is housed in as one of a series of small restaurants dotting Crescent Beach. Decided to just get something to eat. 2 pieces of Halibut, Chips, and some slaw. OUCH...$42!!!! Boy it better be good! IT WAS!!! NOT! You would be proud of the serving if you were related to Captain Highliner. The pieces of fish was small - might as well have been Goldie the Goldfish on the plate. And the CHIPS - don't call it chips, would be more in line with limp fries from Harvey's (I think it's the same frozen thing). The phenomenon called pay and tip before receiving the food - thank you Covid! - really is pissing me off. I had to pay for the food and tip before even knowing what is going to be on my plate. AND when I don't like it.. what is my recourse? The fish was not good - the batter was the only highlight here. I know this area is somewhat seasonal and can be a bit touristy but seriously, tourists are human too! FML! So... for all you peeps out there thinking BC got fish down to a tee. Well let me tell you, NOT. Simple batter and fry eludes them - thank the lord they still know how to cut raw fish and serve!!! Ugh... JEERS!!!

The staff is very kind and on top of things! They'll make you feel at home. I ordered the Ham and cheese panini- The ham was AMAZING! We couldn't believe it was just ham, the smoke was perfect. Juicy and fresh tomatoes and fresh, dressed greens. I loved the mustard and paprika aioli- great combination, so flavorful and creative. The ciabatta bread was light, fresh and soft! I don't always love ciabatta but I think I've been made a believer. My husband had the Motown Philly. Delicious, huge portion. Tons of flavorful meat, cheese and onions and peppers, with great seasoning and care, and tender steak. The garlic aoili was a great addition to bring it all together. 10/10 some of the best sandwiches I've ever had.
