I recently had my final reconstruction surgery. I was packed in a surgical bra which gave me a nasty rash. I went to Lauras corset shoppe and was treated like a queen! Haley is amazing and can fit you just by looking at you. When I first went to her, I realized I had been wearing the wrong size bra for years (thanks, Victoria's Secret...) I've bought every-day bras that are also really pretty and I also got my corset that I wore with my wedding dress. I'm in my early 30s and started going here in my mid-20s, so it's not just for "old ladies"! Stop in and have her help you out! She's never been anything but pleasant and helpful each time I've gone in. She is only one person, so if there's someone else there, she may be helping you both, but I've never felt neglected. The salesperson I dealt with was the nicest person I have ever met. This was no Victoria's Secret where they quickly measure you, give you a generic size, and then send you off into a world of cheap/uncomfortable bras. At Laura's they measure you and bring you the bras that fit your boobs perfectly. They listen to your input and aren't pushy. Their bras are amazing quality, and are reasonably priced. The bras I purchased were in the $35-$45 price range. I also purchased a corset for my wedding. The salesperson made sure to order two sizes and give her input as to which fit best and would look best with my dress. I love Laura's! read more

Lots of pretty corsets and bras but the best part is the very sweet owner who bustles out with lots of things to try on and even helps fasten the corset on for you while you inadvertently flash her over and over again. She knows everything about her corsets and can tell you in a minute which ones run big, which ones will look good with your body type, and which one is gonna bunch up in a few minutes. Parking is street/meter parking, which is fairly plentiful in that area. read more

I went in for bras and came out with three great bras and a sense of total satisfaction.The shop owner, Haley, measured me (I found out my real size) and brought me five bras, all of which actually fit! It took her no time, and she was warm, professional, polite, and informative. The bras she chose were not expensive--they were in line with what I usually pay. There's no hard sell here. Haley didn't steer me to her highest priced merchandise but to the bras that best met my needs. I was so happy to find a small business owner doing such a stellar job. I was downright elated. I wanted to find an old fashioned bra shop for my mom; where they actually know their product, have experience measuring for a proper fit, know if the bra fits you properly, will be honest and tell you if the bra you like is the right one for you, etc. I was hoping for the best experience and to leave with my mom feeling great about her new bras. The only thing I was reluctant about was having to deal with the typical 'small store pushy saleslady' that you find in many boutiques. OMG! I found everything I wanted at Laura's. We were warmly greeted by Haley, she was extremely knowledgeable, helped my mom with all of the above, she gave us the space to 'think', she was not at all pushy and she brought many styles to choose from. Went to this place for the first time today and it was awesome! First off, I have never had a bra that fits properly because I have only ever been measured at Victorias Secret. Sorry to say but they are not great at measuring correctly. I have had dramatically different size readings each time Ive gone to be measured at VS despite my body not changing shape what so ever. Needless to say I needed help and some good bras! The owner was very sweet and attentive. She measured me and picked out a bunch of bras for me to try on. They were all perfect! They fit so wonderfully and looked amazing. I was so pleased that I bought 3 bras and am throwing all my old ones out. This lovely lady really knows what shes doing. I appreciate when people go above and beyond with their customers to make sure they find what they are looking for and are happy. She was very helpful and kind! Laura's is a very cute boutique with beautiful well made lingerie and undergarments. It's average prices for a shop of this type. The woman that was working when I came in was very helpful. She even offered to call me if they received more sizes and styles I was looking for. I bought a beautiful vintage style bra by Parfait which I still love and have. I gave it 4 stars because I just wish the selection was a bit bigger and they carried Elle MacPherson. Definitely check it out if you're in the area! read more

Not impressed at all. Came in bc I needed a strapless bra for a bridesmaid dress. My tailor said she needed the bra bf she finished the tailoring, so I went here. I wear a 34D-DD and I needed something for good support. This was my first strapless purchase so I wasn't sure. She gave me a few to try on- all pricey. She raved about the fit on one, and not knowing I bought it. but when I showed my tailor she marched me right back to return it saying the fit was awful! I ended up going to the mall and found an amazing one for half the price! And that one did fit me! read more

Haley is the best! I went with a friend to get a bra fitting. I wanted to see if I could get something that fit a little better than the best I could find on my own. I have a large chest and short torso, so the challenge was on. My friend is tall and willowy. Haley was warm, friendly, and got right down to business. She listened to us, measured us, and brought us bras that did wonders. She knows her lingerie, and we both ended up with bras that made us look fantastic. I'd always heard that the right "foundation garments" make a world of difference, but that afternoon with Haley at Laura's Corset Shoppe opened my eyes. With the right bra, my breasts were supported and sat high, cleavage was good, and best of all, no evidence of back fat! I ended up with three really good quality choices. And my friend bought two. I went to Laura's Corset Shoppe back in 2008 out of curiosity due to a charming window display. I got to meet Ms. Haley, the happy-go-lucky owner who loves giving specialized attention to each of her customers. She got me on the road to purchasing properly fitted & comfortable bras. I thought the masses were thinking straight when buying bras from Victoria's Secret. Uhhrrrm --NOT. I was jiggling around in a 36DD with muffin tops & muffelettas galore & some people (brazen bold beyotches) had the audacity think my chest was a petting (errr poking) zoo. How do I dress appropriately for work with boobs that have grown to pornstar size?? I always had to get these large knit tops that didn't always give off that tailored look. Now...thanks to the awesome Ms. Haley, I have a solid collection of well-fitting bras. She is extremely friendly & hospitable & can eyeball your size in an instant. All bras are graded & marked differently depending on the brand but Ms. Haley is able to determine your natural average & help you find the best fit for you. She also has a high-quality collection of sleepwear which comes in handy. I recommend a stroll in her store for all ladies struggling to get a great sexy fit!! read more

Haley is professional, patient, and provides fantastic service. I came in about 30 minutes before closing and walked out with a comfy bra that fits much better than anything you could get at VS--she took the time to help me try on about 5 or 6 options and didn't rush me at all (though I still felt bad about coming in when she was getting ready to close up shop). One small gripe is that the straps on the bra I bought are a bit too long for my stature and they slip down over my shoulder even when put into the tightest position--something I wish I (or Haley) had noticed before buying it. While I know that the band is the more important part that actually holds your melons up, readjusting falling straps is a bit annoying. :( I'd probably come here for an "everyday" bra due to the more affordable price range, but if you're more willing to spend a premium price for a very nice bras I might think about visiting Jennette's Bras. I didn't need one, but prosthetic inserts are also available for women who have had a masectomy (I assume they do anyway since there was an article about it in the local paper posted on the inside of the dressing room I was using). There are a few spaces in the back reserved for customers, and you don't have to pay! read more

Her customer service, knowledge, courtesy and insight top notch.It out ranks all of the lingerie service I have experienced in my area. I recently purchased items from a shop in Ventura Co. in preparation for may maternity leave. Although the items were not in stock, they were supposed to be mailed to me. After constantly calling, being promised that it would be sent to me (as it sat on her desk), I had since delivered, healed and returned to the store for a refund. They were very apologetic but I was severely disappointed. This happen three times with two other associates at the same shop. Well it's nice to know that I no longer have to put up with that level of service. Haley has invited me to call her on Sundays if I am in need of her help because of the distance and time it takes to get there. I have been looking for a comfortable bra for some time now. I am one of those gals that comes home from work desperate to take off her bra. I always have indentations on the side from the back strap of the bra and the bra straps always fall off my shoulder. I walked into Laura's and was immediately greeted by Haley. She was kind and respectful. She knew from the moment I walked in what my size was but said may I please measure you? She immediately pulled out six bras. She even assisted with latching my bra. She taught me how to appropriately put on and adjust my bra. In fact for the first time I felt like my bra even helped with my posture. I left with three beautiful and comfortable bras that made me even look skinnier in my shirt. She taught me that a good bra should highlight your waist and should have no fat sticking out on either side. She has found a life long customer! I really wanted to like this place. The owner is nice but her bras are cheaply made. I bought 3 beautiful bras and in 3 months after washing it gently and hanging to dry, the wire on one bra started to pop out. I took it to the shop and the owner assured me that it could be fixed. The day that I had to pick up the bra, the underwire in another bra popped. I took out the wire because it was so uncomfortable. I took that bra back the same day I had to pick up the first bra. She told me that the bra must be too small. I told her that they weren't and I reminded her that she fitted me. I asked if she could mail the bra to me because I live far away and I did not want to have to drive all the way back to pick up the second bra. She was not pleased that she would have to pay the $ 4.00 shipping costs. After almost demanding that she mail it she agreed. Fast forward 1 week from the first bra, the wire on the other side is out again. After one day from getting the second bra back the wire is out from the other side. She did not take the time to sew all sides of the bra. She only sewed the side that was coming apart. Disappointed to say the least!! Poor customer service. Nice lady though! read more

I hadn't bought a bra in over 5 years when I walked in today. When younger I was small enough to get away with wearing no bras for most of my adolescence/young adulthood, but a child and middle age have left me more richly endowed of late, and really, I was poorly practiced at finding adequate accoutrements. Based on many references to this shop over the years, I stopped in hoping to find at least one basic, reasonably comfortable bra, especially since I'm looking at starting a new career and looking "professional" couldn't hurt! After a simple measurement, Haley brought me at least 8 options, everything from basic functional to gossamer lacy, contemporary and "old fashioned". I could have walked out with ANY of them and been comfortably outfitted, so my decisions came down purely to aesthetic preference, and my costs wound up being significantly lower than the last bra I bought. I doubt I'll shop for lingerie anywhere else for a LONG time. read more

As a 30-yr cancer survivor I find it increasingly difficult to find post-mastectomy bras and prostheses. Many stores will no longer handle the insurance paperwork. Just went back to Laura's today to get a bra for my wedding dress! I've gotten one bra from Haley before, and my experience was awesome the first time. I was not disappointed the second time. She eyeballed my size perfectly and helped me try on a corset for my gown, but also everyday bras (which I ended up buying 2 of as well as my wedding undergarment.) My mom and I were the only people there at the time and even when some other customers came in, she was still very attentive to me until I was finished. The bras are no more expensive than in department stores, and they are meant to last so you shouldn't need to buy a bra for a long time. She is so lovely and asked to get a picture of me from my wedding so she can put it up in her shop. I recommend her to all women!! read more

I can't believe that nobody has yelped a review on this place because at that store there are so many articles posted from L.A. Times and various new papers on how great this place is. Haley (the owner) was very courteous and nice and very patient. If you have seen my Wizard of Bras review you'll know the crap I have been through. And sure enough she knew too because she gets all the Yelena's Bridal customers now and anyone else who hates Wizard of Bras (there's a lot). The experience is much different than Wizard. Instead of taking a number ala DMV and feeling like you have wasted their time being there at the Wizard, here you're given a one on one experience (and I went on the weekend). Here I don't have to feel frumpy watching soccer moms and shut-ins buy sexy see through peignoir set. It's more relaxing, no stale 50's music (I am not ragging because I hate 50's music....I love my oldies! It's just I hate trying on bras with a bunch of old ladies and soccer moms and listening to it.....not sexy....it's FRUMPY!) and no old ass Bonnie.....just Beautiful Haley ready to give a warming experience! read more
