I've been coming to this salon since ownership changed, and I am so happy with the services I receive here! ALL of the girls here are super nice, very knowledgeable, and talented in their work. I have very long hair, and Esma is excellent with helping me keep it as healthy and beautiful as ever. Danelle is awesome with brows and skincare- she is my go to! I've had too many good experiences here to name everyone who's been a part of it, but I highly recommend this salon! If there's ever a problem, they are so quick at making it right immediately. Holy Cow! I went into the salon for the bridal trial for hair and makeup and was blown away by Esme (hair) and Denelle (makeup). They were phenomenal, listened to what I my requests, and were super great at timeliness. They were absolutely booked for the wedding day. Come day-of, they were early, brought everything they needed to the wedding venue and were overall calm (which made us all calm!!). For 2 full sets it took 4 and a half hours and costed $100 each. Lady hit some sort of pen halfway through too, weed/vape/otherwise. Was also not very nice, berated a girl for her cuticles. Would NOT recommend. Nails were okay, I guess, but not worth the money alone, let alone the experience. Gloss nailbar was $100 for a full set and pedicure and was done in 2 hours. Really pleased with today's pedicure. I went with my sister-in-law, and they got us in on a Saturday with just a couple days notice. I have previously had massages here, but I hadn't been in about a year. Wow! I had heard they were under new management, and it really shows. New decor. Everything in good shape. The women at the front reception desk were super nice. Two people apologized to us that one of the nail techs was running behind, and they checked on us while we were waiting (and it was seriously only maybe a 10 minute delay!). I appreciated that we weren't left wondering and waiting. My only suggestion would be direction for where to put our winter coats. We ended up throwing them over the back of our pedicure chairs, but some hooks would have been easier. Not even a complaint though! Really happy too with my pedicure. Nothing felt rushed. Both techs were super friendly and did a perfect job. We chatted away, and they offered us drinks a couple of times. A+, will definitely be back! read more

This place is a scam. I'm a natural brunette who had no previous color on my hair and my goal was to go blonde. After about 6 hair appointments that costed about $200 each time, and still not being blonde I stopped going. This place was overpriced, fried my hair, and a waste of time. I had Zoe Hood do my hair and let me tell you she did not disappoint!!! I had my hair done elsewhere previously and they in no way shape or form gave me the hairstyle I was looking for. I was so embarrassed with my orange/yellowish hair. Zoe did a great job with communicating to make sure we were both on the same page on what I wanted my hair to look like. Zoe was very sweet and easy to make conversation with. She gave me tips and information regarding postpartum hair since I had just had a baby a few months prior. I also had an incident come up where my baby didn't want to drink from a bottle while I was getting my hair done. Zoe and the other staff were very accommodating and understanding of the situation and I was able to have my husband bring our baby so I could nurse him. Overall this has been my best hair salon experience and I'm so happy I decided to book with her! I've never been so happy with my hair! read more

I've only had massages here with Jennifer, and she is excellent. She gets 5 stars bc she is more than just a relaxing massage. Jennifer understands your medical issues which is important if you are looking for bodywork beyond Swedish massage. I docked a star because the front desk is terrible. The young ladies appear to have no idea what is going on. Also - the salon needs a deep cleaning. There is dust and built up grime in the bathroom and waiting area. I also observed a nail tech chewing gum while with a client - GROSS. I also bought a Davines product that turned out to be cracked on the bottom of the container which stinks bc it is $$$. read more

I thought the staff was very friendly, they have a lot of services at reasonable prices, and huge product selection. The owner came over during my session to introduce himself and ask how I was doing as well, which was a nice touch. I love my haircut! I came in with a picture and my stylist gave great a great suggestion for how to tweak it to fit my face shape. I'm really happy with it, she did an excellent job and I will go back. I did read other yelp reviews before going so maybe I was just looking for it, but I agree with a previous review that this place totally could use a deep cleaning. It was tidy and well-maintained, but I could visibly see a layer of dust on baseboards, blinds, etc. it didn't bother me as much since I was just getting my hair done, but does give me pause about massages and pedicures in the future. Also, just a slight suggestion- a salon I used to visit in my previous town had great hospitality and would offer to hang up your coat and had purse hooks at the stylists' stations. I didn't see a place for my purse so kept it on my lap under the cape, but would have preferred to put it away and completely relax. read more

Make sure you actually have an appointment before arriving! I cannot accurately rate The Experience Salon because I didn't actually get to have a manicure. I called to make an appointment over a week ahead of time. Two days before my appointment, an employee called to confirm my appointment. Upon arriving at my scheduled time, I was confirmed again and told that my nail technician would come out to get me. A few minutes later I received another call stating that I did not, in fact, have an appointment because my nail tech (the only one available?) had been double-booked. Although the woman I spoke with was very apologetic, it was not a good interaction for my first time trying to go to this salon. Update: they did offer me an appointment at another time free of charge, but I was not able to take the apppontment for prior commitments. read more

i visited the salon awhile back to get a haircut - wanted to get rid of length and have my hair just end at my shoulders. i should've known this experience wasn't going to be great when the salon wasn't even open when i got there on time. evetually the receptionist arrived and informed me that the original hair stylist wasn't going to make it so they bumped me to someone else which was fine until it wasn't. i explained to the hair stylist that arrived 15 minutes late exactly what i wanted and what i specifically DID NOT want. she was really nice and we talked the entire time, she washed my hair and then the part where she pulled out the scissors. she made the first cut & i saw it but just thought she was doing face framing pieces that were at about my chin so i just kept letting her go thinking it would be longer once she got to a different section. i was so so SO wrong. she cut my entire length of my hair INCHES above my shoulders and as she was finishing she says, "i feel so bad, i literally did exactly what you said you didn't want." now i'm not a person to make a scene so i just smiled and said it was fine because i just wanted to get out of there, there was no way i was getting that hair back anyway. i paid for it and politely tipped her and left. as i got into my car i looked at myself in the mirror and realized it was exactly what i explicitly asked NOT to do and i felt horrible. my hair was so short and it would take months to grow back to a length where i felt normal. the only way to feel like myself was to fix it by spending $$$ to get extensions to fix the mistake she made. it's disappointing when you put your trust in someone to change your appearance and they don't listen to what you are asking for and just do what they want. at the end of the day, she got paid and i spent more money than i intended to get the length i wanted. i would not recommend going here for a cut unless you know the hair stylist well. read more

I requested Andrea, who did beautiful work trimming my bangs and she was unavailable so I made an appointment with Brooke. Requested a senior stylist. Don't consider less than 7 years senior. Overall, the end result was not bad. The appt was way too long. Color processed 50 mins which even I know is too long. Had to listen to a nearby stylist yack to a client incessantly and immaturely. What was very unacceptable was being charged a $5.50+ fee for using a credit/debit card. All of the previous reviews occurred under different ownership. I loved the previous ownership and management, great people and service. For 2 years I've had my back waxed here and always left very satisfied. This last time, under the new management, it was horrible. I left in pain, my suit was covered in talcum powder, she missed 15%, and had no time for other scheduled areas. She literally tried to wax an entire side of my back all at once!! Seriously?!?!?! My friends decided to give me a gift card to this place for my birthday. I was super excited to try it out. I used the card in the beginning of the year for a Brazilian wax, big mistake. The girl burned me, I had scabs all over the place. I have been getting Brazilians for years and she kept pulling the wax from the wrong direction... I was really upset, but busy so I didn't get to write a review. Today, I decided to use my gift card for a manicure. I don't mind the price but the manicure took about 15 minutes... The lady doing my nails decided to push back my cuticles without soaking them in water so it hurt a lot. There was no massage, no lotion... I'm very disappointed... My husband booked me the peaceful escape package which included a one hour signature facial, one hour massage, whirlpool pedicure and classic manicure. My appointment was for 10:00. I arrived a few minutes early to check in. I was not called back until 10:30 for my facial. She (I did not catch her name) left me in the room for 15 minutes alone for the mask to sit and she was totally done with my facial by 11:00. Definitely not an hour facial as booked. She asked me to get dressed and sent me back out to wait in the waiting room when she finished. The front desk had told my husband when he booked the package that I would not have to wait in the waiting room, that they had nice room in the back. Awful experience. Jen performed my massage and was wonderful. I would highly recommend her. My pedicure by Tammie was great, as was my manicure. My only complaint was not sitting me under a dryer, so by the time I got to my car my manicure was ruined. read more

The "experience" wasn't very good. I got my hair cut, nails done, facial and a massage. Hair stylist/ hair cut was decent. Then I get to my nails and the hair stylist tells me she is going to be my nail technician. And my boyfriend had paid for the no-chip polish. We sat down and asked me what I wanted I said I wanted the no-chip, what was already paid for. And she tells me to pick out a color of just normal polish. Because she probably didn't know how to do the other no chip. Either way I didn't get what I paid for and after five days my nails have already chipped.. the massage was decent and the facial was amazing. I get to the point end of the experience and she tells me that my stuff wasn't taken care of and made me feel very small. My BF had called and left his debit card information with one of the receptionists. The lady said there was no note of this. And I had to pay for this and she was sorry that it wasn't paid for very snotty like. I will never ever go back there it was nothing but crabby women who didn't want to be there and acted as if it was a hassle to have me in there. In no way do I recommend this place to anyone. OH and then my BF calls to talk to the manager and says she can give me 15% off my nails the next time I come in. But we didn't even get what we paid for and that was the "best" she could do. The salon is lovely, but I got the worst haircut of my life there. I asked for about four inches off, shorter in the front, layers, and side-swept bangs. I got seven inches cut off, long on the sides and short in the back, and what amounted to a bad shag cut from several decades ago. I'm hoping I can grow out at least three inches in the next three and a half months so that I can look decent for a formal event I plan to attend. Until then, bobby pins are my best friend. I had my wedding hair done here with my wedding party back in 2010, and recently had a pedicure. Both times the staff were friendly and professional. My hair turned out great and the stylist knew what she was doing. The pedicure felt wonderful and took about an hour, as expected of a spa pedicure that cost $45. I plan on returning soon! read more

I was not a fan. I'm sure this place is good to meet your everyday salon needs like haircuts and manicures, but I made the mistake of booking this place to do my hair and makeup for my wedding day. They were extremely disorganized, could not do the style that I asked when I had my hair trial and then cut my time short. At first they promised I could come next week but I soon learned the person who promised that did not have time for me the following week and I was being rescheduled with a new person and they were making me pay for the trial all over again. The following week I had a new hairdresser do my hair trial and she took a loooooong time- about three hours. I was very concerned it would take that long on my wedding day when i would be on a tight schedule, but she assured me she would have a better idea of how to do it and would work faster. Sure enough, it took even longer on the wedding day. I was extremely stressed out and late to my own wedding. Not to mention they only had time to accommodate hair and makeup for only half of my bridesmaids and of those that got it done had to wait a couple hours between their hair and makeup appointments. While I did look good in the end, this place was not worth the stress for me. However, please note my experience was specifically in regard to my wedding, and for those who are just coming in for a haircut or a manicure, this place is probably okay. read more
