Some of the par 3s was waiting 10-15 min on the tee box. The marshals out on the course were clearly clueless and rude. Around the 5th hole, our group is in the fairway, clubs in hand, waiting for the green to clear to hit approaches.... Marshal comes up and tells us we need to hurry up and we're behind pace. We chuckled and thought he was joking. Clearly he can see that people are on the green, we can't hit yet, there are people on the next tee box waiting to tee off, and a group behind us waiting to tee off. Then a few holes later after waiting 10min on the tee we hit our tee shots as soon as the fairway clears. A different marshal rolls up as we're about to ride off and gives us grief because the group in front of is near the green and we only finished teeing off. I guess he doesn't realize it only takes about 20 seconds to drive from the fairway up to the green but it does take more than 20 seconds to hit 4 tee shots. I don't think I'll be going back there for a long time. Just a crappy experience by packing in tee times too tightly and not keeping the course moving.

The website was a bit 'wonky' and threw errors when I tried to reserve a tee time online. After a quick call to the ProShop it was discovered the tee time did book, and I just couldn't see a website confirmation. The ProShop staff were always cordial and helpful answering questions. The golf carts are fast, there is a slight speed delimiter going downhill. When we got to the 9th hole there was a sign to call in an order and have food ready. Upon arrival to the ProShop, the girl seemed new and did not get our full order, but after a few minutes everything was ready to go. The greens were recently aerated a couple weeks ago so we had some bumpy putts and odd breaks. The roughs were not impossible to hit out of, and the bunkers were full of sand as would be expected. Overall, this place is a high quality public golf course that is well maintained for the amount of volume it receives. On a mid week morning the parking lot near the clubhouse was almost full. The driving range is grass, and not artificial - true practice hitting. In a couple aspects, Waverly is on pace with some private courses, and surpasses some public courses in a few areas. Try it and find out for yourself.

If you have never played here and you wanna try it out one time it's definitely worth it ,but if you want to save a few dollars and play somewhere in the same area that's the same quality go play glade valley 20 min west in fred , or Baltimore county course like pineridge/woodlands . All around 70/80 for a weekend rate .

We didn't grab food on this outing but they do serve food and there was loads of options nearby as well. I brought my own clubs and my son used some of theirs and it worked out great. Wish I lived close enough to go here all the time.

I asked that a club they reshafted for me be extended 1/2" bc I believe the rep wrote down the wrong length on the work order (honest mistake), the employee treated me like absolute dirt and said "I assume you don't want to be charged anything for that too, correct?." It was an easy fix that would have cost them nothing other than 15 mins of a club tech's time. Been here probably 300 times - won't be returning. And I doubt they care. He was so rude and condescending.

It's a great place for kids, and I really love that they offer First Tee. It makes the whole environment feel welcoming and like they actually care about helping young players learn and enjoy the game. It's also a really good course if you're a beginner (or just trying to get more comfortable). It doesn't feel overly intimidating, and it's a nice place to work on your game without feeling pressured. That being said, I do think the club could use some upgrades. It would be amazing if they added a club lounge or more of a clubhouse hangout area. Something that gives you a reason to stay after your round, grab a drink, and relax would really elevate the whole experience. Overall, it's a solid course with a lot going for it especially for kids and newer golfers but it has even more potential if they invest in a few improvements.

The whole thing seems pretty high tech. The staff explained how it all worked and my husband and son got to playing. It was fun for me to watch, as a non-golfer.
