There are pavilions available and plenty of areas to sit down. The parking are was really good. There are several jungle gyms for the kiddos. The walking trail is well kept and free or holes or anything that will cause you to fall. I saw wildlife along the way. People were fishing, eating, walking, playing games, and just enjoying life. My nephew was extremely excited!!I noticed that everything was thoroughly thought out. The entrance gate is slightly heavy (two to pass through. Other area were the same (heavy gates to prevent kids from entering the paved areas without permission & help. There were several areas to play: sensory areas, sand box (large), agility, strength training for the littles, and a cute township area where kids can ride (provided mini bikes) bikes or scooters in the "city". The imagination stations were adorable. Most areas were covered well. They had several restrooms and water stations. Seating for birthdays and such. I didn't have time to take pictures. My four-year-old granddaughter was enjoying it and after her, some 13-year-olds were enjoying it. It's very well-made, very safe and very fun. They have a shopping area for them to pretend -- along with their own personal H-E-B! My granddaughter really enjoyed pretending to shop. I think that's a secret word here, there's a lot of pretending going on here! I highly recommend this park. It's important to know that animals are not allowed unless it's a service animal. There's a lot of kids running and yelling and playing and laughing. This is not the place for you if you're going to a park to read a book. This is definitely a great place for children or for parents to play with their children. I highly recommend you visit.

The grounds are well-maintained and landscaped. There are paved trails that run along Brushy Creek where folks fish, feed the ducks, and relax along the water if not hiking or walking. It's dog-friendly with poo stations throughout. Dogs must be leashed. Water fountains throughout. The baseball field is state-of-the art. There's a modern playground for kids. Picnic areas with tables and grills. Veterans memorial onsite. Ducks and squirrels all around. In fact, a squirrel climbed the netted parameter around the ball field to watch us. I posted a lot of pics-that's a cute one to check out. The 14-acre park is surrounded by trees. In the middle of Bushy Creek is a large round rock for which the town was named. Next to the ball park is a spiral ramp connecting the upper and lower sections of the Heritage Trail West (which runs through the park). You can walk up it or bike for amazing views once at the top. This is a lovely park for getting out and enjoying nature.

I don't want to upload pics due to children are present but please go check it out because you won't be disappointed. The main stage is nice and there is a pavilion for you to just sit and enjoy the atmosphere while reading a book or just taking a moment to chill. I always enjoy coming here to cycle or walk but really appreciate the playground upgrade for the children.

They have basketball courts that are underneath canopies, so the sun don't get into your eyes or overheat, you. They have nice little park benches, and the thing is is they dedicate this to the veterans that have served our country. You can see the little round rock r and r statue from there. It's a nice little shaded area, but mainly because it's right next to the river, which makes it very cozy and a good place to have a snack or a picnic. Learned that the sprinklers were off around 7:45 pm and not 10 like website indicated . Maybe it is only for the Summer? Anyway, I'm impressed! Looks new! Accessible! Large climbing structure to left and splash pad to the right. 3 shaded gazebo's, with double tables and grills (covered so not in use). The shower and water fountains work. And this place seems like a wonderful place to have an outdoor birthday with cooking splashing options. Splash pad and playground are Birthday girl approved!
