We bought the car at Hillcrest Volkswagen and had the most horrible experience with there service people. The most incompetent, stupid service people I have ever encountered. They are closed now and deservedly so. However, those incompetent people were transferred to Hawk Volkswagen (don't go there). They are or will ruin that place as well. Had a check engine light come on. Called Hawk. Spoke to the incompetent Amanda (from Hillcrest) she told me I could have an appointment 3 weeks from the date I called! She has no idea how to support Customer's. And there was no talking to her about at least checking to see if the problem was serious. I hung up and called Sendell. Katie was great right from answering my call. Understood the concern and scheduled an appointment in 5 days. When we arrived at Sendell Katie was there to greet us and handled everything; engine light and oil change. Katie gave us regular updates on the service progress. Katie went the extra mile and found a coupon (that we knew nothing about) from Hillcrest that reduced the cost of the oil change and applied it to our invoice which saved us money. This is what Customer Service is and should always be about. I'll be a Sendell Customer from now on.

He ran a lot of prices for me on various cars that had the one feature I was most looking for (blind spot detection). Ask for Derek. He takes the time to make sure you get the car you want. He doesn't try to upsell you. Also the finance woman did not try to pressure me to get the warranty. The paperwork she presented me with was actually lower than I had been told. She found some fees that I didn't need. This was a great car shopping experience.

I called in the late morning on the last day of the month to have an inspection/emissions done on a vehicle (that was a month overdue). As this is usually the worst time to take a car to a garage, especially for inspection stickers, I was not expecting them to be able to do it. Much to my surprise, when I took the car in, not only was the service staff incredibly friendly AND able to work my inspections into the schedule, they had my car done in AN HOUR. Everything was super easy, no hassles. And I thought that was pretty great all around. So, I can't speak on the topic car repair with them because I have not had that experience, but I'd definitely recommend them for inspection stickers.

Communication has been minimal, and no one has offered any goodwill because we "didn't buy the car from them." Our warranty claim was denied because we didn't have our services done there--but I actually tried to. Their online service portal doesn't even work (you can check for yourself), and no one ever called me back. It's frustrating to be blamed for something that wasn't our fault. When we tried to talk to the sales manager about possibly buying a new car, he told us we'd have to talk to corporate for any goodwill or trade-in help. It really felt like they just wanted to pass us off instead of trying to make things right. We've been loyal Hyundai owners, but this experience has completely changed how we feel about the brand and this dealership.

No need to negotiate pricing. We got a great deal with the Honda Family discount program. We communicated via text and email. Once we got to the dealership we just had to sign and drive. They even pulled our vehichle and our new 2025 Honda Odyssey Elite into the showroom, so we didn't have to take our newborn into the cold.
