The surgery coordinator referred to IV sedation as "general anesthesia," which are not the same thing. That lack of clarity around something so important was concerning. More concerning, I was charged $500 for a "biological dressing" (D7922) after my extraction. I was not informed that this was being used, did not receive any sutures or noticeable packing, and it was never discussed with me before or after the procedure. I'm currently following up to request documentation and clarification on this charge. Transparency and clear communication are critical in healthcare, especially when it comes to procedures and billing. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

I had already taken PTO to attend my appointment so to find out in the afternoon before they were closed all weekend was very frustrating. I was told the reason it was canceled was because my insurance had expired (I have a new insurance provider) and they decided to cancel it without getting a hold of me. Let's just say I will be looking for another provider going forward rather than rescheduling my appointment.

I have had many massages to deal with back pain, and although the other therapists I have been to are wonderful. I was looking for neuromuscular help more than a 'me day' massage. I have found the right therapist in Harmony Haney. I'm hooked. The first time I went to Harmony I had been unable to walk for 2 days, and after our first treatment I was able to move and perform the relief/prevention exercises she showed me. Harmony has created such a welcoming and calm environment that belies the intensity of her technique, that I was almost surprised after my first visit. She asked questions and got to know my body and was emotionally present as well. Her advice and instruction for post-massage is knowledgeable and effective. Now, as a regular client I am able to better recognize bad patterns or form that cause my back issues. When I do over-do it I have Harmony to get me back to a comfortable place with less downtime and repetitive movement injury. As a competitive paddler I would highly recommend Harmony for anyone who pushes their body (sometimes too hard) for relief with both the immediate physical repercussions of injury and the prevention of repetitive use issues. Although I do like my massages intense I also appreciate the relaxing aspects of Harmony's practice. She makes you feel instantly comfortable and welcome, with special personal touches that invoke a spa-like feel, and an atmosphere of relaxation and compassion. Making an appointment was easy, as she was flexible with my schedule. She has you fill out a form online before you come in so she knows what questions to ask you during your evaluation. She is very thorough, and will ask you lots of questions (past and present) as to paint a broad picture of your overall health. If you've ever been to see a talk therapist, it's a similar process: taking inventory. After inventory, she gave me some initial recommendations, and I provided me with some supplements. Being appropriately Portland, she actually makes her own herbal tinctures, which I was able to purchase directly from her. She also said I could make my own in the future, and gave me discounts on a recommended probiotic, so she's very budget-minded as well. She can also prescribe you "pharm" drugs and administer tests, as well as having access to affordable labs. In general she just makes the process of going to a doctor smooth, comfortable, and informative, without any of the woo-woo vibe you can sometimes get with naturopathic folk. Professional, easy to talk to, and affordable. Highly recommended!

During the consult, the technicians weren't terribly sociable, they took the x-rays, delivered the information but definitely seemed rushed. When Dr. Rad came in he too seemed a little rushed, flustered....this made my daughter anxious as he repeated questions a couple times. I think some of this is made more difficult by all of us speaking through masks. Day of the surgery however, we were greeted by Surgical Asst. Kriss; who was great with my daughter. My daughter said she gave her a blanket and a pillow, talked with her, made her feel very comfortable when she was really scared pre-op. My daughter only remembers Kriss from the whole procedure and frankly she's a big reason for the 4 stars; in my daughters words, "she's the best!" She thoroughly and patiently went over all post-op instructions and was just overall very pleasant and caring. I called 5 days post op and spoke with Kriss, she was just as informative and helpful again. The woman at the front desk is very friendly as well. But I do think they could work on it feeling a little more warm and inviting during the consult; less salesy and rushed.
