As someone who studied photography myself, and is involved with the visual arts professionally, I am ever impressed with her keen eye and stunning compositions. The photographs from our August 2013 wedding were absolutely gorgeous, generating compliments from many guests and making album selections difficult as there was so much to choose from. Lauren photographed our wedding this past June and we are so glad that we decided to work with her. Not only is she very accommodating ( we were living between the US and the UK and she was able to figure out our style in just one meeting and a few emails/phone calls) , but she is as professional as they come. We wanted to enjoy our wedding and mingle with our guests so we worked out a plan to escape quickly from the church and meet her in our designated 'family shot spot'. She was ready and waiting when we got there, with the prearranged list of who needed to be photographed together. Her organization came in handy, and we were enjoying cocktail hour before we knew it. I planned my wedding from across the country and contacted Lauren after seeing her work on stylemepretty.com. I was really nervous to work with someone who I wouldn't meet until my actual wedding day but I could not have made a better choice! Lauren scheduled multiple phone interviews with me throughout the year of planning and walked me through the timeline for the day. She was extremely knowledgeable and confident and immediately put me at ease. On the actual wedding day she was very professional, capturing all the photos I wanted (not to mention dealing with my obtrusive relatives). But what I loved most about Lauren was her ability to capture pure emotion. Though my husband and I posed for many pictures, the majority of the 600+ images I got are of candid moments and my goodness they are AMAZING! I've had the pleasure of doing two photo sessions with Lauren Methia. One was a Christmas photo shoot when my son was 6 months old, and the second one was just a few weeks ago, where we did a combined maternity shoot and portrait session with my son, who is now 14 months old. In both session, Lauren did a great job making my son feel really comfortable and brought out the best in him. He can be quite energetic, but Lauren was still able to work with him and get a ton of great pictures. Lauren is very creative and has a keen eye for pictures.
