This is without a doubt the most satisfied I have ever been with a haircut, and I have nothing but the highest praise for Alex and his entire staff! I came in last week for a medium-length men's cut after finding this salon on yelp and seeing all the raving 5 star reviews. As a guy, I typically wouldn't have gone looking for a luxury haircut experience, but like many of my peers I have been working from home during Covid and used the time away from the office as an excuse to try something new with my hair and grow it out for the first time since I was in college. Now that my hair was long enough to experiment with some new styles, I was eager to get an appointment booked with someone as skilled as Alex to help me find a look that would work for me. As soon as I arrived, it was clear that Alex takes his craft seriously and he's done an incredible job designing an inviting and luxurious salon. I came prepared to my appointment with a few inspiration pictures to help demonstrate the kind of look I was hoping for. After reviewing the pictures with Alex, he talked me through his ideas for my hair and how we could actually go with a more modern, modified version of the type of cut I was looking for. Knowing how skilled of a stylist he is, I was happy to take his recommendations and let him work his magic. By the end of the haircut, I was blown away - this was hands down the most satisfied I've ever left a salon or barber! My whole life I've been so used to having to wait a few days or a week after a haircut before I started to like the way it looked, but not this time! For the first time in my life, I left a haircut appointment immediately feeling satisfied and confident in my look thanks to Alex's talent. Aside from receiving an awesome haircut, I also had a fantastic experience just chatting with Alex throughout the process. His story is fascinating and his respect for his art is inspiring. Alex is highly regarded in the hair styling community and it's a community that he constantly gives back to through the training and workshops he provides to his staff and fellow stylists. He's someone who understands the importance of staying on top of all the latest trends, technologies, and techniques. The world of hair styling is constantly changing, and you either adapt or get left behind - and Alex is clearly not someone who's going to get left behind. I can't recommend this salon, and specifically Alex, enough. I came here last week and am super happy with my results!! My stylist was Sheily and she did a wonderful job taking my reference photo and understanding what I wanted! She also wore a mask the whole time and was very sensitive to the current climate. I do wish masks would be required for entrance but I felt safe overall, as stylists were required to be masked and the salon was not overly crowded. read more

DO. NOT. GO. IF. YOU'RE A PERSON OF COLOR. If you are South Asian, I would absolutely never go to this place. The OWNER IS extremely RACIST. I had booked an appointment for cut & color for which I had even done a consultation a week prior in which I had made sure that they were comfortable working with my hair. When I asked about it over the phone, they said that they are able to work with diverse hair. When I went for my appointment today, the owner was like "are you sure you don't have color in your hair? I know how 'YOU PEOPLE' like to put henna in your hair and don't know about it.' When I told him he was being rude and that he should not be talking like that and that he could have framed his words in a better way, he continued talking about 'how you people do this, do that'. And how he needs to protect his business and shit. He then said that they would not be coloring my hair and told me to leave. I have been in Atlanta for 5 weeks for work and needed a hair "enhancement" and trim. Alex and his staff came highly recommended by a friend who has been going to them for years. I was not disappointed. The salon is beautiful but more importantly, the work is amazing. I saw Tina. She was able to match my color and provide a great hair trim. Quite frankly, she is clearly better than my current hairstylist but I can't travel 4 hours to see her. Total bummer. If you want great color and detailed hair styling, I highly recommend this salon. And luckily I found the perfect salon & stylist ( after a disastrous visit to Ultra Hair Salon at Toco Hills !!), My hair was in extremely bad shape due to mis-coloring and a poor haircut. Having very fine hair and needing it my color to be repaired. I was so so lucky to have Tonya come to my rescue! It took several hours for her to restore my hair color, but she patiently worked hours on it and also gave me a brilliant precision haircut that I absolutely love!! So needless to say I have found an EXCELLENT stylist and my new salon and I'm quite relieved to know there's such professionals in the area. And I will be in good hands going forward. ANNA, I LOVE MY HAIR! I purchased a Groupon for balayage highlights, but I was treated like I was paying full price. The atmosphere of the salon was so welcoming and comfortable; everyone was so friendly! I showed Anna a picture of what I wanted, and she explained to me the process and what to expect with a balayage. I was nervous going in because the first time I received a balayage somewhere else, it turned out to be a disaster. I ended up getting my haircut as often as possible to get rid of the brassy orange . ANYWAY, end result - just what I wanted!! The original picture was a bit too blonde for me, and Anna did a wonderful job getting my highlights to look natural. And she was so personable and knowledgeable. Came here a couple weeks ago and saw Anna. I couldn't be happier. I walked in to check in and first thing, they offered me something to drink. They even had complimentary wine, which I had. Anna asked me to show her a inspiration picture of what I was wanting. I showed her the picture and she said she would have no problem doing that. I had such a great and positive experience at Alexandar Salon! Anna did an amazing job with my hair, and took the time to really do the consultation before we got started. While I wasn't completely sure what I exactly wanted, she helped me figure that out through the consultation. I've always wanted a pretty balayage and I've never been more happy with my hair color before. I have attached some pictures of the before and after. Also, even though Alexander wasn't my stylist, he was still very kind and attentive and I really liked the atmosphere of the whole salon. It felt very high-end and welcoming at the same time. I'm about to move away from Atlanta so it will be hard to come back here but I definitely would've if I were in the area. I cannot stress how AWESOME this place is! Had plans for date night with my husband and found a great Groupon for balayage, cut and blowout. Having just moved to Atlanta last year, I hadn't had a chance to find a great salon yet so I took the plunge on this Groupon and had my appointment today and I am B L O W N away at the results. Not only is the salon itself very nice and upscale, but they were super friendly and immediately offered me refreshments as soon as I arrived (and they do have wine, ladies!) The owner even made it a point to introduce himself and welcome me to the salon. Crystal, my stylist, was absolutely lovely. Not only was she really patient with my indecision (I had no clue what kind of cut or color I wanted at all), but made some awesome recommendations for both and showed me colors/options in advance so I knew what to expect. She literally worked tirelessly for FOUR hours to make my hair a complete night and day change from the mess of split ends that it was when I came in. She always was checking in along the process too to make sure I was happy with how it was coming along. I've already got my next appointment set with her because I am just SO impressed with her and Alexandar Salon generally. (You can see the before/after photos below!) One thing to mention is that they do add on some additional charges depending on what you want to want to do and also your hair length (but honestly what place doesn't do that because of the cost of product??). But UNLIKE other places they tell you UPFRONT right away when you book the appointment (and mention the Groupon) and also reminded me at my appointment. So there are NO surprises which is excellent. She was really tedious and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted. She definitely saved my hair! Parking is a breeze here even though it is street parking. I came in on a Saturday and had never been there before. I based my decision to come on their reviews and their Groupon. Marie fixed me up, she was so sweet and so relatable. My Pinterest picture turned out not to be what I wanted, and my hair ended up a shade of purple instead of burgundy. This was an exceptional experience. Billie was my stylist. Being new to the area and coming from out of state, I was extremely wary. I researched for months on the best salons in the area. I stumbled upon Alexandar's salon as top rated on Yelp as well as google reviews and was convinced I should try it. I wasn't disappointed. I have very deceiving and difficult fine yet thick hair, and I'm rarely ever satisfied with leaving my cut/color as is. Having experience with cosmetology I normally end up piggybacking and coloring/cutting myself on my previous stylists work after being disappointed with the finished result. I will always be somewhat guilty of this (can't help it) but Billie did such a great job, I've received nothing but compliments. He spent more time and effort on my hair than anyone ever has. He allotted enough time to get the job done efficiently and effectively, instead of rushing the foils and bleaching process due to busy and full scheduling. I'm normally used to having to texturize at home (my hair needs it) in order to get my desired results. He did everything beautifully and took adequate time to do this properly. I dont do negative reviews much and really hate doing them, but in this case I have to. I went in to the salon a gorgeous blonde and just needed my roots done. I got someone who took 3.5 hours to do my hair and when she pulled the towel off, I was brown. I asked the owner Alex who is wonderful to fix it. He met me the next morning and stripped my hair. It is now like horsehair. He could barely pull a comb through it and it needed some serious deep conditioning which he clearly didnt have the time for and wanted me to come back. Blondes are difficult. I spent thousands to have it ruined in one day. Do NOT go to him if you are a blonde. read more

Ah! What a lovely place. First of all, make sure to leave early. Getting there is a bit tricky. When you turn into the plaza, make an immediate right. Complementary valet is awesome and necessary. Okay so from the very beginning I was treated so well. I bought a groupon and had to change my time like 3 times. Everyone was patient and efficient. Finally committed to a 3:30 Friday appointment. I was late because I got so lost and Alexandar himself directed me. He assured me everything was alright. So sweet. My hairdresser was his brother, Vladamir. Great guy as well. After talking to me (I was indecisive) Vlad brought over Alex and they talked about my hair and decided on balayage (more natural highlights that are painted on). It felt so individualized and intentional. They really cared. We decided on chunky layers and beautiful highlights. I was there for almost 4 hours! Vlad gave me wine and took his time. New hair, new life! I swear this place has changed my hair for the better! I get my hair done by Anna and I will never go anywhere else. I love how honest and realistic she is. I was told I would never be able to get my hair blonde without damaging it from previous stylists. I am happy to say I have blonde in my hair and have been having more fun. Anna was able to safely and healthily (if that is a word) take my hair to blonde. My hair is healthier than it has ever been, soft and has been growing very quickly.
