The woman, who I assume was the manger or owner, acknowledged it was their spas name and phone number but said I wasn't able to use it. The whole reason I booked the appointment was because I had the gift certificate and then upon payment was told I had to pay in full. I even put exactly what the certificate said in my notes when booking the appointment. I still don't know what the real issue was and it felt like I was being accused of doing something I didn't. The whole situation was very uncomfortable and was definitely not the way to keep customers coming back.

I found Golden Dream Spa through Yelp and was excited that they could see me right away. I should have been more skeptical when they asked me to pay upfront. I checked my watch to document that we started at 4:05. She started off with these really great moves that stretched me out and things were going great for about ten minutes until her phone started ringing. Not only did she take the call, but she was yelling at the person on the other line and the calls didn't stop. They lasted until she said our time was up but because she took a call she would give me ten more minutes. During these ten more minutes she took two more calls and was texting. At one point asking me how to spell 'asking'. I was nice through it all. When we finished up I looked at my watch and it was 5:05. Not only was it not extra time but she was doing my massage almost the whole time with one hand to accommodate her ongoing ranting on the phone. Something about Jimmy or Jenny and alcohol. Again, I will say, i think she was a great masseuse but it was ruined and not relaxing at all. I asked for some of my money back. She raised hell about it. And said 'you don't have to tip me. That's fine.' To which I replied that I wasn't going to tip but also she hadn't performed the full service for which I had paid. $75 for one hour of deep tissue massage was more like fifteen minutes of awesome weird stretching and then 45 minutes of one handed on and off half assed half phoned weird not peacefulness. Talk about phoning it in. She ended up begrudgingly giving me 20 bucks back. So I gave them one more star.

Lisa spends a lot of time on my shoulders and rotator cuffs. Without her I have no way to get deep into rotator cuff muscles and really sore shoulders.
