Lisa is amazing and super talented ! I go for neck tightness, aching back relief,hamstrings and glutes. I run and lift weights weekly. Lisa spends a lot of time on my shoulders and rotator cuffs. Without her I have no way to get deep into rotator cuff muscles and really sore shoulders. My wife does a lot of cardio, running and wears high heels for work. Irene gives her much needed foot nerve relief,quads and lower back. Overall, the Orient is super clean and professional. Easy park always available. read more

Massage was very painful and underwhelming. My friend and I paid for a 90 minute massage which ended 15 minutes early. The owner/therapist answered 6 phone calls, scheduled appointments and left the treatment room to answer the door during my service. Found this place on Groupon. I got off work early and decided to see if I could get in on a last minutes notice. This place is not very spa like. They have several rooms but the girl at the front desk was having a convo w/ someone on the phone and I can hear every word she said. The woman giving me the massage literally had no rhyme or reason to her massage. I can tell she really didn't know what she was doing. At one point during the massage she walked out of the room and left the door wide open. If I didn't pull the towel over myself to cover up anyone walking by would have seen me. Very unprofessional. Granted she was very nice but I came for a massage. Not a place I'd go back to. read more

Pros: 1. Unlike other Chinese massage places, you get your own room, therefore you get to relax in this much quieter space. 2. Very friendly staff and owner from start to finish. 3. A face massage. I've been to plenty of similar massage places and some of them did give me a face massage (with dry hands). I didn't ask for my masseuse's name, but she gave me a face massage with moisturizer! It lasts around 5 minutes with a lot of gentle tapping motion. It was kinda weird in a good way. Plus, who doesn't wanna be moisturized in Chicago! Cons: 1. The massage itself could be better. Compared to other places with much lower price points, Their massage was not very effective. They did a much better job on lower body as well as arms than 2. The awful back massage. My masseuse kept on missing the right spots. Instead, she used a lot of pressure on awkward bones or joints. There must have been a dozen times where she literally was pressing hard on my ribs. There are no muscles there, girl what is you doing?! 3. They made me pay first, as if I was gonna leave without paying. All in all, the massage was not that professional in my opinion. I purchased a Groupon before COVID-19 hit. When I tried to make an appointment today they said that they were not honoring any Groupon's and that I should get a refund. First of all as anybody who buys Groupon knows that Groupon does not give a refund they give you a credit. Let's not mention that I always find my best places through Groupon's so they are losing out by not honoring my Groupon for future business from me. Do not go here!! I made an appointment and arrived on time after purchasing a voucher for $20 off the service. The rude receptionist said I can't use it and have to pay full price, and that next time she would accept it. Yeah right. She actually refused my business unless I paid full price. I didn't honestly have super high expectations; after reading some of the other reviews. The place and the experience was a very basic/no-frills situation, and there were some language barrier issues, but I was honestly blown away. This was absolutely the best massage I've ever had. I did a deep tissue massage with a hot stone add on. I believe the masseuse's name was Mia, and she truly did such a great job. I usually leave a massage feeling relaxed but little bit disappointed (too gentle/skimmed over my sore spots, etc) but for the first time I feel like I truly got everything I was hoping for. She cracked me, stretched me, and really worked at stiff spots. She didn't ask me where my trouble spots were, but then it came to seem like she didn't even need to. She found all my stiff spots and really worked at them. And the hot stones were so nice. I've never been a repeat customer with a masseuse, but I am so excited that I found this place! I can't wait to go back! Also- I read in another review that they were pushy for tips, which I also wouldn't have appreciated, but my experience was actually that nobody even mentioned tip, but I gave her a good tip anyway because I wanted to in the end! read more

Steer Clear A group of us went after a friend's baby shower brunch, and it was hands down the worst massage any of us had ever had. - No technique, to the point where there was really uncomfortable, raw skin areas and had to ask them to stop - Little understanding of English (which I have encountered at other places, but have been able to work around - this was met with no change in the technique) - Uncomfortable and awkward, as it's the first time a masseuse has actually gotten on top of the table, sat on my thighs and rubbed my back (it was a swedish massage) - One of the technicians had long nails that were digging into and scratching my friend's back - All of us woke up in pain the next day, and it wasn't the pain that comes with a good massage, it was more like shooting pain / back is now out of whack / have visible scratches on my back type of pain - $70 price tag is WAY more than we have paid for much better massages available in the city - Pushy for the tip (as other have said), and we had 2 of our group of 7 that didn't tip and they were visibly upset - everyone else felt pressured to give one Bottom line - find another spot, your wallet and back will thank you. read more

This spa is amazing! I highly recommend it to anyone suffering from upper back & neck pain. I went there to see if a message would help the severe neck pain I was experiencing. I was unable to turn my neck without having pain. I was amazed how after several visits I was relieved of my pain and able to freely move my neck.
