I've been coming to Mirako Spa for facials for years and have probably been here 10 times now. I originally found them through Groupon (great value around $70), but lately I've been booking directly with the spa even though it's around $90, and honestly I think it's worth it. It feels like they use even nicer products when booking direct, which I've really noticed in the results. The facility is always very clean and relaxing, the products feel high quality, and the facial massage is amazing -- one of my favorite parts. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I reached Mirako Spa in Brea for my facial appointment exactly 3 mins late. A lady who told me that my appointment was at 2:30pm. (I have attached text messages that my appointment was at 2:45pm). Upon showing the text message, she agreed that I was late by 3 mins. (+ 5 mins grace period).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was informed right away that I need to reschedule as I was late or cut down my facial time from 60mins to 40 mins. I should have arrived 15 mins before the appointment time. Therefore, my showing up delayed by 3 mins would delay the next client by 15 mins as they needed time to prepare for the next client! Math doesn't add up any way we look at it unless they had informed in advance to show up 15 mins before the appointment time, which they hadn't. 1. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was absolutely no notification or instruction provided to me about arriving 15 mins early before the appointment time at the time of making my appointment or text reminder. Therefore if one is late by less than. 10 mins, they lose their facial time by 20mins and are lashed out if clients try to reason out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was told me to depart as I was 3 mins late or reduce my facial time by 20 mins. 2. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jenny, who came over from inside took over the conversation, was very unprofessional and rude. She argued with me for 15 mins non-stop when I tried to reason out that if I was late by 3 mins, if they wanted to be a stickler of time without informing me to arrive 15 mins early, they should take away 3 mins of my time not, 20 mins. She yelled at me saying "I don't want you to come here ever, I never want to give you service!".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't understand how Mirako Spa even employs such people who are clueless about how to treat clients with courtesy, let alone working in a service industry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Here is the twist: when I checked in, another lady besides Jenny told me that my appointment was at 2:30pm, which their mistake to begin with as my appointment was at 2:45pm. It appears that they messed up with their own scheduling but because I was 3 mins late for my 2:45 appt, I bore the brunt of Jenny's unprofessional behavior as she couldn't admit that they had accidentally messed up scheduling my appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Instead she told me to leave or get a facial cut down by 20mins! I am attaching screenshots of my appointment time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As per Jenny, I should have a common sense to show up 15 mins before appointment time even though I wasn't informed about arriving early or else, appt that was anyway scheduled incorrectly by 15 mins sooner, from what I was notified.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Try to avoid Jenny if you go to Mirako Spa in Brea, she can be scathing, unreasonable, and unprofessional. I bought a hydrofacial on Groupon. It was $80 and with the spring sale code it came out to be about $68. Kate serviced me and SHE IS THE BEST. Her facial massage has good pressure, helped my blood circulate, and put me to sleep during my LED and mask session at the end. The moisture mask smelled so good! The location is clean and staff is professional and friendly. You can also get the facial massages at store and not through Groupon for like $268 dollars for a 4 session pack. read more

Bought a facial off Groupon to try this place out. I've gotten a lot of facials done before & this was hands down the worst one I've ever gotten. The receptionist at the front was super sweet, but the lady who did my facial was very unprofessional. Usually when they enter the room, they gently greet you & introduce themselves but this lady just kind of looked at me and went straight to the facial procedures. She turned on the light over my face and the first thing she said was "oh. Pimples! You have pimples!" (As if she was mad at me that I had pimples??) .... I don't even have acne either, I just have maybe one or two whiteheads a month at max during my time of the month and hyperpigmentation, which is why I wanted a hydrafacial because I felt like my skin needed some love. The facial felt very rushed & when I checked the time at the end of the session, I realized the facial only went on for 50 mins vs the 60 min facial that I paid for. I really didn't want to tip but out of courtesy, I did. I left feeling confused and not good about my face. Usually during the facial, they even take the time to do some sculpting with techniques they do with their hands but I feel like this lady just threw some product on my face, rushed the hydra-facial suction part even, & just called it a day. read more

I went in for a free consultation 2 weeks ago and thought that the Korean consultant was really knowledgeable and helpful. However, my facial today might be the last time I will be visiting. My appointment was an hour before the closing time so during the UV light + molding mask, my esthetician stepped out to do some cleaning. I was panicking and screaming for help alone in the room for about 5 minutes because the eye cover they used did not block out the light properly and my vision was getting blurry. When I blinked and had my eyes opened for a short time under all those layers, I could still see the blue/purple light. I was expecting a nice and relaxing facial but I left with fuzzy vision, dry eyes and exhaustion from all the screaming for help. The other consultant and the esthetician on standby today were really nice and kind but I do not think I will be returning after this scare. read more

Came in yesterday for a HydraDermabrasion and deep cleansing facial. Facial was super rushed. The extractions (that is the main reason I booked this facial) Katrina did was only on 3 small spots when I see a lot of under skin bumps. Everything was super rushed besides the massages she did (5-10) minutes. She had put a face mask on my skin and I asked Siri for the time. It's was only 30 minutes into the facial. 30 minutes was sitting there with a face mask I could have done at home. I do not recommend. read more
