Its exquisite ceiling and doors dates back 1907 since its inception. Yes, it's been through 117 years and still going strong. I can tell it's very well maintained. My aunt had a beautiful service. Everything went very well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking lot is very small. It created a slight challenge because all cars were parked behind one another except for the first car. Luckily, I was able to drive on the sidewalk to get out. It's best to park on the street if you don't plan to stay long or be the first car in line. My dad is actually buried here, so technically I have an inside source. I asked him what he thought about the place. No complaints so far. Five stars from Dad. Tough critic, too. Hasn't complained about anything in years. The place itself is immaculate. Beautiful landscaping, peaceful surroundings, perfectly maintained grounds. Honestly, Dad has better real estate than some people paying $4,000 a month in Los Angeles and his landlord hasn't raised the rent once. Talk about a quiet neighborhood. No loud music. No barking dogs. No neighbors arguing over parking. Nobody firing up a leaf blower at 7:03 Saturday morning. Just absolute silence. Finally, a community where everyone understands the assignment. Security seems excellent too. Dad has been here awhile and hasn't had a single Amazon package stolen. The clientele is incredibly diverse. Doctors, lawyers, teachers, grandparents, probably somebody who once called about your car's extended warranty. Forest Lawn accepts people from every walk of life. Eventually. And talk about customer retention. Once Forest Lawn gets a customer, they almost NEVER lose one. Netflix would kill for that retention rate. There's also no pressure to socialize. Nobody asks what you do for a living. Nobody discusses politics. Nobody corners you for 45 minutes explaining cryptocurrency. The nightlife, however, needs serious work. Absolutely DEAD. I tried asking around for recommendations, but everyone completely ghosted me. Including Dad. Rude. I drove all the way over here. Still, Forest Lawn is peaceful, beautiful, meticulously maintained and apparently Dad approves. At least I'm assuming he does. He hasn't asked to speak with management. Five stars from me. Since their website had little info, I found them on Facebook with listed events. I had wanted to attend their open house but saw that they had a community dinner that was open to everyone and free. I had emailed them just to confirm attendance and number of people attending. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately by a friendly mosque goer who gave us this vast history of the religion in a nutshell and in under 30 minutes. He gave us a brief tour of the grounds too and gave us DVD about Modern Muslims/religion. The other members of the mosque were also friendly and welcoming. As the dinner was being prepared, we offered to helpe him set up table cloths. The dinner was served to us and the plates were heaping with rice, chicken and salad. Wish I got their recipe because it was super delicious! I even got seconds and noticed it was almost all gone. We finished the meal off with fresh fruit and cake. Overall, it was a nice experience and highly recommend everyone to visit!

I never saw or heard any unprofessional actions, and can honestly say the Greene families I served were all extremely pleased by services rendered and received. Over my 50+ years in ministry, I've personally interacted with dozens (100s?) of funeral professionals, and I've seen my share of bad ones, but NOT at Greene. Having worked in the industry during my early college years, it wouldn't take me 10 minutes to discover unprofessional or fraudulent practices. For your information, EVERY funeral home is required under the law to provide a full and complete Price List. You don't have to use Greene and you can "shop the price," if you want, but to post an false review simply reveals its author to be a person of low character.

I was very pleased with the service I received at Draper Mortuary. My mother passed away on a…read moreTuesday and we held the services eight days later on the following Wednesday. Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. They were prepared when I came in to discuss the services my mother had pre-arranged 23 years ago. This did make it easier and I was impressed at how quickly they were able to produce a copy of her plan. There were many additional options I could have chosen but I never felt pressured to buy anything additional. There were some things I needed to pay for, but the cost was reasonable to me. The day of the service we were assigned two people to help facilitate. They were both professional and most importantly, helpful. The main chapel room was beautiful. My mother's casket was placed at the center and a tiered table was set up to the right for items we had brought to display. Three large screen TVs displayed the picture we used for her obituary. I was impressed with the whole set up particularly because it was not something I had even considered in my grief. Lastly, the assistance they provided in writing her obituary was such a relief. They took information I provided and sent me a well written draft. It needed very little editing and was quickly ready and posted to their website. My husband and I will be returning to make our own prearrangements within this next year. Thank you, Draper Mortuary, for making this difficult task a pleasant and swift experience.
