I have been going here for almost a year and I have to say I have yet to be disappointed. Don, my nail tech, always does an excellent job and honors all my requests. I constantly get compliments on my nails. I agree with others, that the prices are a bit up there but honestly you get what you pay for I feel it's 100% worth the price here. The same goes for their pedicures. They're extremely sanitary and always do an excellent job. The late hours are Definitely also a plus. read more

They don't care how long you sit and wait, they don't care how your nails come out, and they damn sure don't care about what you want. i was at the mall and decided i wanted a set of acrylics. so i wall into this place and the facility is very nice, organized, and clean. but the customer service isn't exactly great. the technicians were kind of rude and the one who did my nails was literally watching a show on her phone while she did my nails. the lady getting her nails done next to me ended up being overcharged for a service she didn't get. their work was kind of rushed but didn't turn out horrible. the only reason they get three stars from me is the pricing which was pretty good, and the condition of the facility. read more

Called and made an appointment for 7:30 for a pink gel filling. Showed up on time and was barely acknowledged as they were busy. Finally someone acknowledged me bc she thought I wanted a mani/pedi, then after finding out I had an appointment...told me there was no one here for my appointment yet bc the only girl who does gel is busy with 3 other girls on line. They then told me to wait 10 mins for the owner who will come do my nails. Owner never showed up. I asked the workers again if I will be assisted or not, so I don't waste my time. Response from the man: "Manager not here"...turned aqay really quick to ignore and will not give me a definitive yes or no whether they will service me. WTF kind of business is this! Good pedicure (massage, takes time, etc.) but really inconsistent gel manicures. One time it'll be great and the next it'll be rushed, damaging, and just messy. I guess it depends on who you get. I had a full set of pink and gel applied Alittle over 2 weeks ago ( I did call after the first week .. no call from the owner , I left a message with a worker there) my nails $80 dollars later were no filed or drilled .. lifting everywhere , absolutely uneven .. and my brows they lady took a chunk off .. never ever again .. The one time I decided to treat myself to a manicure became a failed disappointment. First, the manicurist cut me without apologizing. She didn't seem bothered as she casually grabbed alcohol to sting the cut as my finger continued to bleed. Then, she applied a base coat after I told her she didn't need to since I was using an Essie Gel polish, but she ignored me. I told her again and she ignored me once more. By then I was getting really irritated, after all, I'm paying for the service and to ignore what it only says on the label and an Essie Gel polish wearer for years??? THEN, she applied a random top coat (again, not the Essie Gel top coat like I asked) and continued to ignore me. She also painted over the cut that stung more, really?? She seemed really bored and not a care in the world... no wonder the place was empty. I would NOT recommend this nail salon to ANYONE. These are one of those places that look nice on the outside, but a hot mess on the inside. First and last!! read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. The atmosphere is beautiful and absolutely super clean.....that is where the nice experience ends. Every time I get my nails done her I have some type of problem whether my nails break two days later or the gel polish isn't fully dried and smudges underneath the top coat. The best part is when you go back to get them fixed they try to blame you for not putting your hands in all the way! I can't tell you how many times I felt like they didn't let my gel polish dry completely. They had me under the light for not even one full drying session when most places make you dry gel polish twice to ensure it is hardened all the way through all of the coats. When I get a UV gel set, every single time the tips they use separate from the UV gel applied over them. To top it off....when I get a spa gel pedicure expecting a wonderful foot massage for the hefty price I am paying the girls do a lazy job and barely rub my feet at all. I am not a cheap person and don't mind spending a little more to get a great service but the cost is definitely not justified at this place. Save your time, money and frustration and go somewhere else! read more

This place looks awesome from the outside; definitely will draw you in like it did to me. I came on a Friday afternoon for a mani/pedi. It was busy but I didn't have to wait. Nice ambiance, cool decor, CLEAN, good color selection and KIND OF friendly staff. The lady that did my pedicure was great. The lady that did my manicure was O - K. My pedicure must have taken 25 minutes, while my manicure was 10 minutes. The manicurist was very straight to the point, didn't even say hi when I sat at her station, and what did surprise me was she didn't use lotion to do the usual hand moisturizing part, which I thought was a standard step to a manicure. Anyhow, I particularly like to have my "take your time spots" and "quick spots" and for me this is definitely a "I-am-shopping-in-the-mall-for-an-outfit-for-tonight,let-me-get-a-quick-mani/ped-kind-of-place". I used to come here when they had Priti doing the threading. Hadn't been here in years and came in with my sister yesterday. Despite the horrifying service my nail tech gave me, the lady who did my eyebrows CUT ME! I always get my brows threaded and I've never been cut! Wth? And I got cut in spots that never even had hair! The nail tech doesn't pay attention. I hate that. When you're cutting my nails you should really be looking at them and not scanning the room. I decided to go here since its the only nail salon at Garden State Plaza and I was in need to get my nails done. I walked in and the place was crowded, an employee asked me what I wanted done minutes after standing in front of the reception desk. She told me to pick out a color and I waited nearly an HOUR! I honestly think they forgot I was even there. I had to go up to them and ask how much longer it would be, I was told to sit at one of the tables and there I had to wait even more. Finally an employee came and started working on my nails. I forgot the name of the guy who did my nails, he was the only guy working there. He made everything I little better at the end. He apologized for having me wait so long, and kept me laughing the whole time I was there. Although I had such a bad experience with the wait time the first time I was there, I wanted to go back just because of the excellent job the guy did the first time. Unfortunately he wasn't there when I went back for a fill in. A lady did my nails (I think shes the manager) she was rushing through my nails, she didn't care how my nails looked, I was charged extra for shaping my nails (I never heard of such thing) and I've been to many nail salons in the past. I sat at the dryer for awhile to make sure my nails really were dry before i left. Minutes later walking around the mall i realized 3 of my nails were ruined. I had to go back and get them fixed and sit there for even longer. You can tell that they only care about how much customers they can squeeze in. If you don't want to sit down for hours waiting to get your nails done and then get a rushed job done, don't come here because that's what you are going to get. The location is convenient, the place is really nicely decorated, and clean but i'll rather stick to my nail salon in my town then go here. read more

Stopped in late Friday night with my daughter. I had to get my gel fills done and she wanted a full set. The girls where able to take us right away. Initially they tried to sit us apart form each other but after a little fussing they seated my daughter next to me. The girls worked very quickly and seemed to know what they were doing. My fills were done thinner then I used to; not really sure if that is good or bad. My daughter had her nails done with a different color on every nail and I had the permanent French. I would say my nails come out good but really could have used a little more filing to shape them batter and not have sharp corners. I will probably come here again due to convenience but I was not amazed. I may have given this place 4 stars if the nail techs spoke English and were more friendly. One of the girls ran out the door when she finished my nails; guess it was the end of her shift but still I felt like she ran away. read more

Worst place! If I can give negative stars, I would. Never have my friend and I ever been treated with such attitude, rudeness, and disrespect. First, we wait for 45 min sitting in the chair. Then, as this lady does my pedicure, she cuts me. She was so rough with everything she did and the water was scolding hot. She didn't even apologize. She didn't do the top coat and just said "later." At this point, it's late, so I tell her I don't want a manicure, just do a color a change. She (with attitudes) says, "no we can't do that." I asked why? She said "we can't." So I said why again? She said "just can't." I said why one more time and I guess her co worker heard and said it's ok. As I'm moving from the pedicure station to the manicure station, she doesn't help me, doesn't grab my bag, shoes or even lifts the arm up. Again, she was very rough with my nails and when it was time to pay, I gave her my debit card. I had to get up to sign it (don't they just bring it back to you?) so I asked if I can put tip on the card. She rolled her eyes and said, "ugh I already ran it" so I said, "ok, i'll find an ATM." So we sit back down, and as she's painting my nails, she's conversing in Spanish to her co worker about me, my debit card, and tip. I find this extremely rude and unprofessional to talk about someone who is sitting in front of you. After some time, she realized she didn't charge me the extra $5 for French pedicure, so she said, "I'll charge you again and put my tip on that." As I walk over to dry, I ask about the top coat of my pedicure and she snaps back "later." Also, I still was waiting to get my eyebrows done. I wouldn't have mentioned it but I already paid. The same lady does the eyebrows (horribly! Too thin and uneven) and then finally, puts the top coat on my pedicure. When I met back up with my friend, I realized she also didn't have a great experience and they cut her while threading her eyebrows. At the end, I paid the $5 and gave $5 tip so that we can leave. 100% up to you, but if I just read a review like that, I would not step foot in that door. read more

Never again! I have been coming here for years and they have always done a pretty good job, they mostly take their time unless they feel like rushing and they have a lot of variety in colors. Recently they have not been doing a good job and my nail broke after one week of getting them done. I went in to get it fixed and they happily fixed my nail, later that same day another one of my nails broke so I went to get it fixed and they wouldn't not take me for a while they said a 30 minute wait so I waited for 30 minutes. 30 minutes passed and I asked again how long a wait they said I don't know how long but there is still a wait. I waited over an hour and they were very rude, also rushing to fix my nails when I finally sat down to get it fixed. A rude employee told me that my standing was distracting and kept insisting I sit down. They also overcharged me because they charged me 3$ when I came earlier and then made me pay 5$ later on. So this is what happens when you go to La Vi nails in garden state plaza the nail tech had absolutely no idea how to properly do a set of uv gel nails and when she originally did then they were extremely thin and flat which she said is how clients like them. Then when I explained to her that nails should have a C curve she had no idea what I was talking about which means she obviously didn't go to cosmetology school because that's one of the most important things you learn in school when studying artificial nails. Then when I tried to explain how they should be filed to make a proper C curve she said well don't complain if they break. I then told her I've been doing nails professionally for 16 years and I know what I'm talking about. She was extremely rude with me. But since I have enough class to not completely humiliate her on front of the whole salon I stayed quiet paid my bill including 20% tip and walked out and quietly let her know she did a very bad job. read more

Looking for a convenient place to get a pedi before meeting a friend for lunch at the plaza. Decided to check this place out. It was a monday morning so it was empty. However, looks like monday mornings are the time to scrub and bleach the place, which kind of grossed me out and led me to believe they just closed the doors sat night and left the cleaning to the monday morning crew so the germs were festering all weekend...yick! Anyway, aside from the cleaning fumes, it was an okay experience. The tech was pleasant and the pedi was good (not great). I don't know what kind of nail polish they used but it lasted a long time. It was $25 for a pedi so not too $$. In a pinch I would go back (not on a monday morning) but I would not go out of my way to get there. read more

I came to this place for the first time because it seemed like a nice relaxing place. I had a horrible experience I got a gel mani done for 30 dollars and it only last ONE day ! I have gotten a gel mani before and it's lasted me almost three weeks. The customer service is horrible. I returned very politely and asked if there was anyway they can at least do a regular mani since the gel fell off.
