I was left with dozens and dozens of huge bumps which resembled like bad bee stings all over my cheeks and chin. I look deformed. When I confronted Dr Hong and the staff he just said he made a mistake with the procedure and brushed off. After nearly 7 months I still have bad wart like bumps with bad discoloration. Needlessly said I look much much worse now than before with bad permanent skin condition. Dr Hong is an internist not a dermatologist. He and the nurses who perform some of the procedures appear not too qualified and knowledgeable. They should study more about some of the procedures and less of money making. There should be restrictive laws and prohibit some careless practices done by money hungry doctors and nurses.

She never got back to me. Dr Hong is a medical doctor and not a dermatologist. I got a second opinion from a real dermatologist and he didn't understand why Dr. Hong chose Helo Laser treatments on me, which has very strong lights. It's not for Asian sensitive skins because it can cause serious discoloration, like how it appeared on my face. I will have that for my life. I asked for my medical records and Dr Hong said no. Dr. Hong said only attorneys and other physicians can claim my medical records. I don't understand why Dr.Hong does not want to give my medical record?!! I have trusted and have been seeing Dr. Hong for 3 years. Now I never want to go back there again, I'm terrified.

Short review: SEVERELY understaffed, double/triple book, not…read moreon time by a long shot, not exactly the hair color I wanted, expensive. Long review: I had a 12pm appointment and showed up at 11:57, only to find out that the person I had an appointment with, was already in the middle of a long hair color removal process. This was my first time at this salon, and I didn't "have to have" that hairstylist... so I didn't mind when I was told that a different hairdresser would take care of me. The new hairdresser was also busy and in the middle of a long blow dry, so I am not told to have a seat for my hair color until 1.5hrs later... on top of that, I am also being juggled between other people coming in for blow out, highlights and keratin treatments appointments. It was extremely infuriating because I only needed a root touch up and mild lightening . I'm being timed based on her other appointments (or possibly walk-ins?) and, I'm being TOLD that after my wash she would do XYZ (instead of DOING XYZ)... so I had long wait times between each hair step as well. For example, after she did my highlights, I am not told to wash my hair until after she's done with another client based on her timing (not my own), and the person assigned to wash hair is also a cashier, roller, etc... which means that she also needed her sweet time to come wash my hair; after my hair is finally being washed, she made several stops to obtain other clients payments, etc... and when I'm finally clean, my hairdresser is in the middle of doing someone else's hair so she doesn't come back for another 20 minutes to apply my toner. After my toner is applied, I'm told I'll keep it on for 15 minutes, but again, she goes back to doing other clients hair and that's when I'm extremely pissed and asked someone else to wash off my toner after waiting 25 minutes. Mind you it's 6:26 by now. Almost 7hrs!!!! I was not in the mood to be seating again for 30 minutes before my haircut/blow dry and I decided to leave. I would say the cumulative in-between wait times total would be at least 3 out if those 6.5 hrs. Although I didn't get my haircut or blow dry, they still charged me for the full service and only removed the price of the blow dry but I was in such a rush that I forgot to reclaim that I did not have my haircut so the discount should have been even more. I have had much more complex hair coloring before but I've never had to be in a hair salon for almost 7hrs. At the end of the day, my roots are still dark and the highlights are not exactly what I asked for, but I was charged considerably more than I have ever been charged at a hair salon in downtown Manhattan for less time, one on one treatment and more complex hair coloring.

I heard that they usually talk to you to keep you distracted and walk you through the experience. NOPE. Definitely none of that. I felt so obviously exposed, vulnerable, and not comforted one bit. Luckily it was all over so quickly, but I literally had sweat stains on the paper after. I asked about maintenance and aftercare and still felt completed neglected. When I got home, I saw bits of purple wax still stuck to me and some missed hairs too. For a first time customer to EWC and the whole waxing experience altogether, you'd think they'd try a bit harder to keep me as a customer. If I didn't get the first time customer half off wax deal, I definitely would've considered this a RIP OFF *laughs/cries to myself*.

I was late for 10 min only, upon my arrival at 4:55 pm, I was told that I couldn't be accommodated because another customer had been scheduled for 5 pm. She was lying, I was there at 4:55 as I mentioned and no one had arrived after me, and it seemed very unfair that my appointment time was given to someone else. The lack of communication and customer service left me feeling very upset and very much disappointed. I believe it's important for businesses to handle these situations with professionalism and empathy. I hope that the European Wax Center can address these issues to ensure a better experience for their customers in the future. I believe that individuals like her, who are very rude, dont know how to talk to customers can tarnish the company's reputation.
