Well, usually I don't leave comments on places I go, but when I do, it have to worth of my time to do so. This place was incredibly amazing. With the same service & enjoyment, I had it once in Santa Monica, it cost almost $120 for the full body massage, but this place is way cheaper than I expected. I personally never visit any spa that where messy & smells, but this place is super clean & always have the candle lightning for the full body massage, so that I can relax my self first, before they give me a massage. This place recently changed management and is completely different than it used to be. All new girls, and frankly the one I had today was really not very good at all. The sign outside still says $25/hr, but they charged me $60 for an hour, so clearly things are different. All the girls who used to work there and were very good are not there anymore. Good massage, terrible atmosphere. Four stars for the massage, zero stars for friendliness and atmosphere. Ok, at $25 I expected this was not going to be a fancy "Glen Ivy" type of place and that's fine. I got the $25 for half hour neck, shoulder and back massage. The massage itself was good, not great but not bad either. What really bothered me was that the woman in the front office (I think it was the masseur's wife), oh, by the way, neither of them introduced themselves so I don't know their names, was watching tv on her laptop during my massage and all I could hear was gunfire throughout the entire half hour massage!!! Here I am trying to relax and I hear screeching tires, gunshots, and people yelling in (Chinese?) on her laptop. There was no music in my massage room. It made it very difficult to relax. When it comes to massage shop, I'm very picky. But at the same time I know what I'm getting when I see the price. This place is a quick relaxing massage place with cheap money. In other words, McDonald in massage industry. It's $25 for 1hr massage ( $20 after 7pm). Do not expect any skill from such place. When I came to the building of sunny spas, I was in shock of how many others massage places there were. A figure that at least sunny spa has been yelped before. So that made my decision. I don't know about the other spas at first the bad reviews turned me off of this place. I know that their previous owners that was there before werenot pleasant. Now with the new ownership, a couple that owns the spa now are very nice and very good at what they docall me an expert, Not saying I'm expert of experts but really know of on my massages and get them once a week. And also I use to be a masseuse myself. Although this place is not brook-Williams (which I have gotten massage before. It wasn't all that for my money and massage). I would definitely recommend this place tip: if you want a hard pressure pt. massage like I do. I recommend the guy masseuse and if you're more into reflexology and more light massage. I recommend the lady masseuse I usually get massages for TWO HRS. for $40 after 7 o'clock. (WHAT???) but Usually it's $25/hr. they do the whole back and legs and arms and hot stone too. They really work with u. Sorry to say but they are way better then "heads and toes" massage place.It's way cheaper and even better massages and it comes with a private room for all the massages. So I received a groupon here as a gift and upon coming to look at reviews- I was horrified. I even tried to get a refund based on the reviews, but groupon would have required me to contact the person who purchased the voucher (I didn't want to seem ungrateful). I finally decided to call for an appointment for the following week and it was very easy to set it up. I remember thinking this isn't at all what I was expecting based on the reviews and the complaints about appointments... I walk in and I am immediately greeted. I decided to opt for another massage, and just had to pay maybe $25 bucks more. I was taken to a nice private relaxing room. I have to say that I have been to a few higher end massage places and I definitely felt like I received much more for a lot less. Yes, this place isn't la creme de la creme of massage places..but for the money, it was worth every penny! I didn't even tell the masseuse my problem areas, and she quickly found all the knots in my shoulders and worked them out. She gave me a really good massage and the hot stones were also included (this usually costs an arm and a leg other places). I have never been karate chopped at any other massage place (I do not know the correct terminology), but this lady meant business and she did not forget one area to focus on. After the massage, I was greeted with a cup of water and of course the usual sales pitch. What I loved is that the lady was not pushy like other places can be. I went to Sunny Spa after going to the OC swapmeet. I went for the 19.99 special. I was greeted at the door by Jenny. She gave me a very good massage. What I liked is the rooms are private. I came to this place because one of my friends told me about it. Turns out, I was very satisfied!! Great massage at a very reasonable price. I had their Combo Special - 30 mins body and 40 mins foot massage for only $35!!!!! This place is clean and nice. It's little small which I don't mind at all because I have enough privacy and it makes quiet and relaxing environment. I was about felling asleep while the massues working on my back. I had chance to chat with the owner for a bit at the end. I told him that if my friend didn't tell me about it, I wouldn't come to Sunny Spa, because honestly, their reviews on yelp are not very helpful to the business. However, I enjoyed it and had such a great experience over all. He revealed my confusion by saying that he actually just took over this place about 3 months ago. I have been to Sunny Spa a handful of times. I go for the great massage at a great price to relieve the stresses of my day! If I judged every business that I go to by the building it is in I would have missed out on some great finds! And this applies to Sunny Spa. To give a rating of one star because they use the term spa doesn't seem fair, rate the business on the service people!! No they do not have a sauna or a steam room, but do you see those things advertised? No, you obviously went there for the massage, duh. I have had a massage by the two women and one of the times I went and they were busy I decided to try the guy since the owner said he was just as good, and he was. It is very clean inside, hardwood floors, well kept, didn't smell like stinky food like some of the others I have been in. There is nothing worse than smelling their food while you are trying to relax. I will keep going back to Sunny Spa because every massage I have had has left me feeling AMAZING, and it is affordable! I don't find the need to over pay for atmosphere. FYI: Sunny Spa faces Fair Drive, I got lost the first time I went! It is next to the pizza place. =) read more

If you're looking for an inexpensive full body massage then this place does the trick. The owner and staff there are very kind and the establishment provided a nice ambient to start my massage. I liked the fact that they don't have those large public rooms where several patrons are getting a massage. I think those massage parlors make me feel awkward cause I just want to relax and get a massage in peace. The whole process is your typical full body massage. The female masseuse I received was extremely good at foot massages. She literally made me feel like I was getting a massage for hours because I was so relaxed. I previously purchased a groupon deal for this place the first time I came. Like everyone else mentioned, trying to schedule an appt is challenging due to the language barrier. The massage from Gianni was good - similar type of massage to other 'foot reflexology' places without having to drive to Westminster. Today I went for my second time bc I was in dire need of some rubbing. I called to schedule an appt - same issues with language and I think the lady was trying to tell me to not pay online (like groupon) but to pay at the office (the spa). So I paid the $25 for the foot reflexology for 60mins. Then because my shoulders were so right I asked if I could pay for an extra 30mins. This apparently was too much to ask the massage therapist Lisa, so another conversation with the lady on the phone in which she charged me $25 for 30mins body massage. Mind you - 30 mins body massage + 30mins foot reflexology is $30. Yup! $5 off for 1/2 the time. I agreed but only because I was desperate and all in all - the massage is good and $50 for 90 mins ain't bad. You get what you pay for - I probably will come back because the super duper cheap massage and proximity is what I come for. So if you can let your expectations drop a couple notches to feel a 4 out of 5 star rub down for about $25, then you can try out this place for yourself. We were in a room together, soft lighting, nice Chinese music softly playing. We both enjoyed our experience there. Next I finally got to speak with women and schedule an appointment, btw you wouldn't understand a word, because their English is very bad. Showing up for my appointment 3 days later after the phone call and the guy telling me that I don't have the appointment. Then he calls his manager Lilli and let me speak to her, she apologized and asked me to come some other time. I said no I made appointment. She said next time she will give me $5 off. Leaving the place totally upset and wasted my time. Next appointment I scheduled for 7:00pm. Finally I am getting my massage , but the massaging chair is very squeaky and masseuse left the room 3 times to greet people at the front desk. What the heck ??!! Lol.. my friend recommended me to this place, she told me the owner is really nice and friendly. Like everyone else, i did my homework before i came to this place. I was little concerned after that, but I still went because of my friend. It's really easy to set up an appointment. They were trying to fit in my schedule. Regarding the negative reviews, I actually asked the owner why the other customers had such bad experience, the owner told me that they just reopened and transferred the ownership on April 2014, they have no idea what was like before that. So it wasn't really their fault. This place is owned by a couple, they are very friendly like my friend told me. The room is really clean and relax. They even have private room which is really nice (I don't like to share the room with others while doing the massage). $25 for one hour foot massage include the back after 7pm is $20, very worth it. I think it is really sweet of them that give me a cup of water after the service, really showed me their cares and detail oriented. I went to a lot of massage places, but they are all expensive and having poor service... You cannot find a $25 foot massage in Irvine for sure... I just went to Sunny Spa last night to use my groupon for a 70 massage, reflexology, and paraffin treatment. I arrived on time, but had to wait about 20 minutes because the massage room was being used (not a huge deal). When it was my turn, she brought me in and had me lay down WITH MY CLOTHES ON, put my feet in a tub of hot water and put a towel over my body. She massaged my neck, arms, legs, and feet. Then had me turn over and put a towel over my back and legs and massaged through my shirt and towel. When I say massage, it was more like squeezing and poking and prodding. This girl definitely didn't go to massage school. Finally, she did foot paraffin treatment and left the room for 10 minutes. Yes, there was a slight noise issue as she didn't close the door to the room, but instead pulled some see-through lace curtains closed, so I heard various noises from the lobby and other rooms. Again, not a huge issue, BUT I thought the whole point of a massage was to massage the skin, not my back through 2 layers of material. I give them two stars because despite the clothes issue it was actually relaxing, however, I will not return. read more
