From the beginning, I told one of the owners that I already had a body shop in mind and would not be using them for the repairs. I thanked them for their time and they responded, "Don't worry about it, good luck." Everything seemed fine. A couple of weeks later, I received a call from their staff saying my parts were in. I was confused and mentioned that I had been texting with someone named Tommy, who had said parts wouldn't be in for a while. The woman on the phone said she didn't know who that was, then clarified she was calling from Angelo's. I immediately explained -- again -- that I never intended to have my car repaired there. She told me they had already ordered the parts and that I needed to come in. I apologized and explained I was already working with another shop. That's when things turned unpleasant. I was told I needed to pay for the parts they ordered. When I explained that I had clearly stated from the start I would not be using their services, I was told they didn't care and that I "should have been more clear." They have since submitted a $500 bill to a creditor for parts I never authorized. No remorse. No empathy. Just a nasty and unprofessional front office. Be very careful before giving them your information. Make sure everything is documented clearly in writing. This experience added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation.

I've never had to get my own car serviced and repaired before so I wanted to know that I was in good hands. I went on facebook and asked the harbor point group what people recommended for auto repair and the great reviews of scottys caught my eye. I called up scottys and they let me know they were booked for the next 2 days (it was the first) but they said to drop it off and that they would do their best to look at it beforehand. sure enough I got a call the next day with a breakdown of what needed to be done. They gave me an estimate which was HALF WHAT THE JEEP DEALER QUOTED US, plus it didnt include some of the nonsensical stuff they suggested to fix that scottys said did not need to be done. ultimately they were able to get everything done before we headed out for vacation. when I went to go pick it up, they had admitted there was a communication error and that it wasnt ready just yet and that it would be another hour or so. I mentioned that I had just took an uber and had a lot of other things to try to work on and to see if they could try to give me an accurate time estimate. the guy there (isaac i think) just handed me a set of keys and said heres a loaner ill call you! that alone made this a 6 star experience! talk about admitting to a mistake and making up for it with phenomenal service. anywho, i know where ill be getting my oil changed moving forward! thank you guys!

After telling me they were going to waive the diagnosis fee, they took three hours to diagnose the problem and falsely told me I needed to get multiple different things replaced, costing over $2800. After telling them I was going to try and get a 2nd opinion, they charged me $180+ just for the diagnosis. I am now getting it fixed at another place for less than $1000. These guys are thieves!

I accidentally damaged…read morethe side of my father's truck when I made a turn too tight and rubbed a pole which was sticking out too far onto the street, scraping the bedside. I chose them because I mistakenly believed they were the best. Before I even discuss the lousy quality of work they did, we spoke to them beforehand and they promised discretion if we paid cash out of pocket, no insurance involvement, and we were clear on that, so we paid cash in full. Fast forward a few years later, my father wants a new truck, so he goes to the dealership and they say there's an accident on record. We were wondering how that's possible, so they show us the Carfax and there it is, the damage Classic Auto "fixed". After saying it would be repaired with discretion, they turn around and stab us in the back, greatly devaluing the truck. I don't understand how anyone can trust a business that so blatantly lies and causes further issues with their customers. Why would anyone bring their vehicle here knowing that you're going to turn around and report even the slightest bit of damage to insurance and devalue their vehicle??? To lie and stab a customer in the back like that is disgusting and unprofessional. On top of that, the work was subpar! The paint was not a great match, one was clearly able to see the difference in the bed of the truck as opposed to the cab, especially in the sun. I've seen work from other shops where the paint was such a good match, you couldn't tell the difference from the repaired panel to the original panel right next to it. For the money I paid, I expected much better. I could have brought it just about anywhere else and paid less, elsewhere probably would have done a better job too, and they wouldn't have turned around and reported it to the insurance company when it was agreed they wouldn't. This is a dirty, deceitful shop, anybody would be a fool to bring their vehicle here. I only wish I knew how bad this place was ahead of time. Future customers, you are warned, if you want lousy mismatched paintwork, come to Classic Auto! Good luck trying to get decent resale value for your vehicle when you try to sell it or trade it in, because no matter what Classic Auto tells you or how you pay, they'll make sure insurance knows and your vehicle history will be ruined.
