I used to frequent this nail salon often but started going elsewhere when I felt it was a bit overpriced. However, I needed my nails done last minute on a Sunday and figured I would give them a try again. I got a dip manicure with one tip added to my pinky due to a broken nail. I requested a light pink color and went with OPI bubble bath, knowing it was a rather sheer color. When leaving, I noticed there was a colored thread and bubbled polish on my ring finger. Additionally, my nail artist only did two coats of color, making the color incredibly sheer. When cashing out, the cashier told me my total and I was rather surprised. I then asked for an itemized receipt to confirm what I was charged for and he ended up charging me for the wrong service. I went back in and he was able to refund me and charge me the appropriate amount ($30 less than the first time he told me). Now questioning if I've ever been charged the right amount when I was going here and if I needed an itemized receipt every time. read more

Never was the same price, which is a huge red flag to me. I even called before coming in the last time to confirm. $30 for just a nail gel change not a manicure but I got charged $45? I tried asking and didn't get a response the guy just said ya you sign this receipt. I figured it out... they charged me $15 on top of the service to take off 6 of my gel (not acrylic) nails which to me seems absurd that they charged $15 for take off with a service. That is the price for take off with no service as well so I won't be returning. read more

I have been here once before but my experience this morning was awful. My pedicure lasted five minutes including painting my toes lol. I tried to give the girl the benefit of the doubt as she was very young . The paint job was awful though . I went back and asked them to repaint them which I never do and the manager seemed annoyed with me. Honestly they should have redone the entire pedicure but they didn't seem to want to do that. Considering the outrageous price, I was really pissed and won't be returning. read more

Had a good experience here with a couple of notable things. First, Mike did my Ombre chrome dip and Roe did my gel pedicure. Both did a nice job. The massage chairs worked and there was very quiet spa music. The reason I chose this salon is because of its high rating, coupled with the fact that people mentioned a spa like atmosphere. It is definitely NOT spa like in that there is high powered, extremely bright fluorescent lighting filling the space everywhere. It was impossible to relax at all with that light. Mood lighting would have really helped. Also my bill was $170 before tip which is pretty pricey in my book especially since I didn't need any gel removal or anything. I won't be back but the work was pretty good! read more

So we're in town for my sister's wedding and due to the snow storm the previous day, the majority of the salons were closed. Allure was up and running and they even accept an appointment near closing time! Tully and Lana did our manicures with dipping powder and they both did a phenomenal job! Super friendly and my daughter and I had a good time chatting with these ladies! If we are ever back In Nashville and need a manicure, we will definitely stop by again! read more

After an absolutely awful experience at my last nail salon, I had to find a new go to spot. Found it. Allure is located off Hillsboro in Green Hills, and while the parking lot isn't big, you can find a spot pretty easily. It is very clean, they are professional and kind, they have a great polish selection (for regular, gel and dip), and most importantly... they do a stellar job on your nails. My mom and I were there and each got a pedi and a gel mani. While I will admit I was there much longer than I have been at a pedi/gel mani appointment at other salons, I didn't mind because they were being so meticulous and detailed to do a great job. My cuticles were cleaned and cut so wonderfully! We received three coats of polish instead of two. I wish they had a punch card or something like some other salons have, but that's not a make or break by any means. My mom had a great experience as well. I anticipate my nails lasting a while as they prepped so throughly, which is really what holds together any gel manicure. Thanks Allure! See ya soon! read more

My experience here was A-OK, but really nothing above and beyond. If you're looking for an average experience to get your nails done, this is the place for you. If you're looking for something better or more special, I might not recommend this place. Allure gave me a dip mani that was stupid expensive because I wanted a design. My nails do look great. They didn't offer me anything to drink and they didn't do a lotion massage, which for $65 for a dip mani (normally $50, charged $15 for a "design") was a little ridic. I'm not sure I'll be back. Still on the hunt for my perfect salon. read more

UPDATE: the manager sensed my frustration as I waited on my friend to finish and provided two names of technicians to try in the future as well as a $10 gift card. I visited Allure Spa & Nails for a basic spa pedicure ($28). It was a supposed to be a 30 minute pedicure with all of the basics. Some how my nail technician Lihn Bui finished everything in 10 minutes!!! I mentioned to her that she did not exfoliate calluses as I was expecting. My friend sitting next to me was getting the same pedicure and was provided this service. I asked her to do it after my nails were painted but she said I did not need it. I have never received a pedicure where I did not receive this service. Her supervisor came over and asked if there was a problem. I explained that she did not provide the services that I was expecting. He told her to do it but at this point my nails were already painted and she was made speaking in another language to her colleague. Totally rude. If you come here, try someone else. read more

It really pains me to give this place such a poor review, seeing as the first time I went in, I had such great service. I think today may have been the final straw though. My last few nail techs have been rather aggressive, one of them peeling off my last dip manicure themselves without soaking my hands first, which was rather uncomfortable. Today, I went in for another dip manicure and not only was the technician rather rude (he was on a personal call almost the entire time), but he was probably one of the roughest nail techs I've ever had. You can see by these photos that he was impatient in letting the actual polish dry, one of the nails is pretty badly dinged, and several of my nails and skin around it have been bleeding for the last hour. I happily paid for my service because I'm happy with the color overall, but when I made mention of his aggressiveness to the person at the counter, they didn't really seem to care, which was unfortunate. I definitely don't want to complain about petty things, but when you cause customers pain, and do a poor job, I feel like they have the right to voice their frustration. I'm not sure I'll be back here again. read more

Linda did my pedicure. Nice lady. Rough on the touch. I'm alive and still feel... She is detail and attentive though. She asked me what pedicure I wanted with the menu so I could see what each one included. I chose the Allure spa pedi, I like the sugar scrub. Nice decor but I still felt the small shop feel in a way. They were not too busy even though everyone was working with a customer. Walk-ins are welcome as I didn't have an appointment and they received me and service me within 15 minutes from walking through the door. I was seated on a pedi chair with in 5 minutes after choosing my color. She offered me water, wine or sprite to drink. The pedicure was good apart from the tab roughness, a more "sensitive" customer would of not like it. She did a great job on the scrub and the massage! 5 stars for those. I can see why it still on the 3 stars level though. It does have a 5 start look but service needs to improve with it. And it's not much really. They are attentive and welcoming when you walk it, it's mainly lack of communication on the customer service scale. I would like to be able to communicate what I want done with details so it's done right. Tonny did my acrylics. Well, everything started good. I showed him a picture and he didn't deliver. I feel I have play-doo stuckon my nails. My fingers hurt as they are glued all around the edges and he tried to un-glued them but pushing and that made my skin ripped. Ouch! Horrible experience with the woman with the short hair and young, went in for a manicure with regular paint for French tip and she did my hands in a quick 5 minute rush job. I just had a different nail tech remove them because even the nails underneath were trimmed and cut misshapen to the point I'll have to wear press on's until they grow to a point I can reshape them. The nails feel rough and horrible and I'm pretty sure her tools were not clean. The guy who did my sister's nails was great the lady with the short hair beware!! read more

I've been coming to Allure for around 10 years because Linh does the absolute best almond-shaped dip manicures of all time. She's also phenomenal at nail art. As Nashville has grown, Allure has definitely grown with it, so if you're getting a specific or more complicated style, make sure you make an appointment and leave a little wiggle room. Owned by 2 young women who are very sweet and good at what they do and so fun to be with. I've been using Monique for 2 years and absolutely love her. They have really nice chairs for manis and a big screen TV with great movies going. They offer you drinks and snacks but the best part is they are a "by appointment only" nail spa, so you don't have to worry about your manicurist always watching the door as they're filing into your nail bed removing your polish! It is so relaxing and fun at Allure. I'll never go anywhere else. Oh, and there are no fumes or nail dust all over everything. Try them. You're going to love them! read more

I loved this nail spa. I haven't had my nails done in over 1.5 years because I'm a nurse and they usually get wrecked immediately. I decided to treat myself to a mani/pedi on a day off. I originally went to another spa but walked out immediately when I saw how dirty and unhygienic it was. I high tailed it to allure and had such a different experience. The nail colors were illuminated and organized well and I was seated at a pedicure tub immediately. They had liners in the tubs, individually sealed tools, and the staff (Kathy did my nails) wore gloves. Kathy was so sweet and did a great job on my nails. The lighting was nice and TVs weren't blasting bad shows (pet peeve). They also offered me a drink at the beginning. I will be back! read more

Why can't I find a decent nail place!!? I got my nails done yesterday, a full set. The price said $45. When I go to pay, he charges me $75. I ask why so high and he said they charge $25 for gel polish. For nail polish!!! I was so upset & still cannot find where they charge that price. Also. I should've been warned that it's an extra $25, I would've declined. They scammed me. This place is a rip off and I will never go there again and would not recommend - take your money elsewhere read more

I have been coming to this salon for two years. I always walk in without an appointment and they get me right in. Since I don't make appointments, I always get the first tech available and swear every single person who works here is so talented and they all do such a fantastic job. In two years I have NEVERRR had a nail break off or significantly chip it's actually crazy. I get the dip power nails with some sort of design or cool color and they always last me about a month. I live in the city and the drive to green hills is definitely worth it. Priced super well and a super clean place, I recommend to everyone read more

I was greeted promptly, directed to the very nice bathroom/changing room that has a fluffy robe and shoes (I just wore my own slippers I brought). Lots of things in there for you to freshen up with after your massage, including showers! I was offered a drink and ordered some tea and was led to a beautifully serene waiting room. This is where I filled out my paperwork. There also were a few snacks offered! Michelle was amazing from start to finish. I appreciate they ask before if you want quiet or conversation, so it's not awkward if you just want silence! She was so incredible - I left being able to move my neck and a month later have no pain still! Worth every penny.

I…read moreunexpectedly got stuck behind a train, immediately called the business, and let them know I would be late. What followed was one of the most frustrating massage experiences I've had. SCHEDULING & PRICING I booked a 90-minute massage, but was told on the phone that their "90-minute" service is actually closer to 80 minutes after changing/prep time. Because I was going to be late, I asked to simply change the appointment to an hour and pay for an hour. I was told I could shorten the massage, but I would still have to pay for the entire original appointment because I had "reserved the therapist's time." I accepted that rather than argue first thing in the morning. THE MASSAGE Before starting, I specifically said my priorities were my neck, calves, and feet. Those areas were essentially ignored. I paid extra for deep tissue. The pressure wasn't remotely deep tissue and barely qualified as a firm standard massage. I also paid extra for cupping. What I received consisted of small suction cups being lightly moved/scraped across my skin and was nothing like the cupping treatment I expected from the upsell. The therapist disappeared for noticeable periods of time, including roughly five minutes at the beginning. I confirmed with her that I wanted to stop after approximately 50 minutes because I had already accepted that I would still be charged for the original appointment. In practice, I received roughly 45 minutes of actual massage time while being charged for approximately 80 minutes, plus the additional services. CHECKOUT This was probably the most frustrating part. Despite receiving roughly 45 minutes of massage, checkout was based on the full scheduled service and the screen showed a total around $220, with suggested tips around $50. When I questioned why I was still being charged the full amount, the response was essentially that I had to pay for all of the therapist's reserved time regardless of how much massage I actually received. I manually entered a $25 tip rather than tipping based on services/time I did not receive. I had also signed up for a discounted package/subscription in connection with the appointment, which makes the entire experience even more frustrating. BOTTOM LINE I walked out having spent somewhere around $175-$200+ including the add-ons/tip, received approximately 45 minutes of an extremely light massage, did not receive meaningful attention to any of the three areas I specifically requested, and was charged based on substantially more treatment time than I actually received. The front-desk interaction was also unnecessarily rude and dismissive when I tried to resolve what I thought was a very straightforward billing issue. I understand charging someone for a late cancellation or protecting a therapist's scheduled time. What I do not accept is charging me for the full appointment, shortening the actual service dramatically, charging for add-ons that did not resemble what was advertised, and then presenting tip suggestions calculated from that total. Because the front desk was unwilling to meaningfully address the discrepancy, I will be disputing the applicable charges directly with my bank and providing them with the appointment details, receipt, timing, and services actually received. Two stars rather than one because I did technically receive a massage. Beyond that, I cannot recommend this business based on my experience.

WARNING: Staff Engaged in Discriminatory and Verbally Abusive Behavior My previous visits to this salon for basic gel manicures were acceptable. However, my most recent experience (went in for my birthday with my visiting mother) was profoundly unacceptable and resulted in significant emotional distress. The male technician performing my mother's pedicure violated every standard of client professionalism. He initiated a line of deeply inappropriate and offensive commentary, including personal remarks about our complexion and ethnic appearance, followed by blatant body shaming by commenting on my mother's weight and size in relation to her diet. Despite being told repeatedly that his remarks were rude and unwanted, the technician refused to apologize and continued his offensive dialogue. My mother, who was visiting and expecting a relaxing experience, was left shocked and utterly appalled by this harassment. We immediately reported the incident to the cashier after the service. While the salon management did comp (waive the fee for) the pedicure, this gesture, while noted, does not address the core issue of the staff member's behavior. A transactional apology cannot undo the severe disrespect and violation of trust. Customers must be aware that there is a risk of being subjected to discriminatory and verbally abusive remarks while receiving a service here. A beauty experience requires trust, and that trust was destroyed by the technician's conduct. I urge management to take immediate and concrete disciplinary action and strongly advise potential customers to choose an establishment that guarantees dignity and respect for all clientele. read more

I've been here a few times and had pretty good service. However, my last visit caused me to lower my rating to 1 stars. A friend and I walked in without an appointment on a Sunday. It was very busy, but when we asked for two manicures, they told us to pick our colors and had us take a seat up front. We probably sat there for 25 minutes, at which point they moved us to a couple of stations. However, we then sat there for another 35 minutes while they served several other people. Long story short, we walked in around 1:30, knowing we needed to leave at 3 pm, and ended up having to walk out without any services. I understand we didn't have an appointment. I would have been fine had they warned us we'd have to wait for a while, or told us to come back in 45 minutes, or told us they couldn't accommodate us that day. But to just sit us down with no indication of when we would be served was deceitful and a waste of time. We could have gone somewhere else in the time we were sitting there doing nothing. There are so many nail salons in Nashville that I do not plan to ever return to Allure. I will be going to Green Hills Nail Spa from now on. read more

I am not at all the type of person to complain and I'm not even super picky about nail salons but my experience here was so frustrating. I'm sitting in their parking lot currently because I wanted to give a review as soon as possible. I called 3 hours ahead for an appointment on a rainy Sunday expecting to get right in. Made it there 5 minutes early, get in the chair with the water and it took 40 minutes for anyone to get to me. Right when I was about to get up to leave, someone sat down and started. I asked for a design and was told they had to switch people for the design - and was kept waiting another 15 minutes. Got up and left before I got the design. Again, I'm normally am not picky about service but this practically came across as rude. They were not slammed and 4 other women who came in for pedicures after me were worked on within minutes. I don't know where all these five star reviews are coming from unless these people have some seriously LOW standards . The place itself isn't that nice . The chairs are old and not comfortable for a pedicure as they barely recline . I got the deluxe pedicure which was essentially a standard almost every else . I also made an appointment way in advanced and specifically asked does this mean I won't wait . It meant nothing. I waited for the pedicure and then waited again for the manicure . I don't understand why pages allow appointments if they don't honor them. With so many cleaner , nicer and more comfortable nail places there is no reason to choose this one . Also I paid $45 for a dip manicure and they left out the manicure part . No lotion no hand massage no hot towel . Seriously awful read more

i had found my favorite girl at this place. Her name is Kayla. She's the best at gel polish here. I had try different employees here before and my gel never last until I met Kayla. She did my nails last 3 week without chipping. She also took her time with pedicure not like others employees here when they busy, they try to rush you out! I highly recommend if anyone of you ever come to allure spa you have to ask for Kayla. she's really nice and treat the customer the way they want. I tells everybody about her and also recommended Kayla to my friends and now they love her just like me! The only place I go for mani/pedi! After so many bad experiences around town I came across this nail spot while driving around green hills trying to avoid signature nail salon. They always rush my service and me out the door. Allure has never treated me like that and has always taken their time with such detail. They are by far the best at gel polish with it lasting over 2 weeks. That's a good problem to have. John and Mimi are so friendly. I'd drive across town to go here! read more

Came here, today, for a full set with an almond shape. Was recommended to go to Lee (or Li) by another nail tech. I was a walk-in customer and came in around 12:15 was able to be service immediately. Lee asked me many times if I was satisfied with nail shape, length, etc -- I really appreciated this. Also, even though Lee was serving as nail tech and on the front desk, I never felt neglected. This is the only place I found in Nashville where I don't feel like I'm being hurried through a fire drill. It is actually relaxing like it used to be before the days of drive through nail salons. You will have to make an appointment to see Mimi or John, but usually can get one an hour or two from your call. The rest of the staff is great, so no worries about that.
