This might be my first nail salon review since I've only been getting pedicures regularly for the past year but I have to say, I have had a mostly positive experience here! This review is a collection of past experiences, roughly 8-10, but is being written after 2 visits to the newly upgraded/refreshed interior. One of the nail techs mentioned that the store was now under new ownership (as of June 2024) and that resulted in the layout being refreshed! Overall, everything was arranged in a cleaner fashion and the furniture all looks like it was upgraded (both at the mani and pedi stations). They moved all of the manicure stations that were in the back up to the front and reduced the amount of TVs in there. The menu books all look like they were new and there was a cleaner presentation of the services. I almost always opt for the basic pedicure but the last two times, I got the deluxe pedicure with clear gel and I was very happy with the results. Again, I'm still fairly new to this and only have a handful of other nail salons I can compare it to. I'm not too picky and totally get why others might be but for what I need, I think every pedicure I've received has been great. There have only been 2 or 3 times where my hangnails/skin around my toes were cut too deep, leaving me sore for a week but I think it was because there was some miscommunication with one of my nail techs. I think one of the best things about this salon is that they are VERY walk-in friendly. I never have an appointment and can almost always be seen. There was only 1 occasion where I was turned away and it was because I came 15 mins prior to their close Everyone has always been extremely nice (or quiet) to me and they always get the job done. The worst pedicure. Too quick, polish came off after 2 days, sloppy job, low quality nail polish... overall not great at all.

I came in for a dip powder removal and after 35 minutes this is how I left the salon... I had to go home and finish removing it myself. They charged me $15 for this even tho the website says $10 online. Will never return read more

I came in with pictures of pretty common nail designs, snake, moon and stars. Was told it would be no issue and was asked to pay before the service was finished as I came in an hour before close. After two nail designs were painted I realized that the snake looked like a letter S and the moon looked like a letter C and my thumb nail was put on completely crooked. I requested the designs to be removed and to forgo the rest of the designs as I didn't trust any of it would come out okay. I left with plan black nails, a wonky crooked thumb and no designs for over $100. I am now waiting 7-10 days for a refund of the design I prepaid for. read more

I went to get an acrylic full set done. The man with tattoos ended up doing them. I kid you not, we were almost finished with the set nearing 12pm (I got there at around 10 am), and I had a flower on the ring fingers that needed a stem in the middle. When I told him about the C, he placed it on but it looked wonky and when I told him about it, he went ahead and got mad and cut all my nails off. I do not recommend this place at all they use cheap old polish. I paid about 70$ for pedicure and manicure. I only used gel on my hands and I love my natural nails hence why I tend to go for manicures vs acrylic nails because I don't like the harsh filing that is needed for false nails. My nail bed is pretty thick and I didn't pay much attention but they actually filed down my natural nail so much that they were thin and if you know any better that causes nails to tear. Here I am a month later having to grow out my nails again and bring back the strength. On top of how thin they made my nails the polish they used must be watered down with acetone and old because with in a day the polish was cracking. So buyer beware if your like me and looking for a place to enhance your natural nail growth run from here because they will ruin your nail bed. read more

I've been going to this place for a few years and the service was almost always good- a few times I got a woman who had a bad attitude and seemed resentful of her customers but I overlooked it. This last time, I took my daughter and we both got gel pedicures and the woman, "Ashley" was working with my daughter. During the pedicure she was polite but when my daughter was getting a manicure, Ashley started being aggressive and made my daughter bleed while using the grinder. My daughter had to point this out to this horrible woman. The woman then charged 10 dollars extra for shaping and long nails-the exact same service I got. If you go ask for Ken. I debated writing a review, but I was very put off by the fact that my nail tech was not wearing a mask for half of my manicure. In addition, she was using her phone (which are notorious for germs) after she would paint a coat. Not to mention, she was very rough, ripping my cuticles (luckily no injury but very unpleasant). I was excited to solicit a local business, however, I will not be returning. In addition, my nail polish never dried (I'm assuming low quality, old polish), so my nail polish became dented hours after the manicure. It's possible that this was a one off bad experience, but I will not be recommending Lavish to anyone nor will I be visiting again. read more

I brought my mom in who has Alzheimer's and recently recovered from a hip fracture and this was her first venture out from the house since her hospitalization and discharge from rehab. Consistently good experience. I have used Lavish since they opened here for manicure and pedicures. It is 5 minutes from my home so very convenient and they always accommodate my schedule. I know they take walk ins but I always call. For me most important it is the cleanest Place I have found in this area and I have tried a few. Cleanliness is high on my importance scale. Their staff has always been pleasant. I know not all of them are fluent in English but they know enough to get along and the owner is almost always there. Plus I am either working or listening to books or relaxing so not really looking for a in-depth conversation. I have gotten gels there and regular polish. All good. I usually bring my own polish anyway. If I have any special request like no scrub on my legs or massage my legs a little longer they are happy to accommodate. I love to watch LiziQ, they usually have playing in their big screens. Yes there is a little wear and tear you can see around but it is clean and they use autoclaves instruments. I was on my way to a nail salon in Winter Park when I passed by Lavish. I saw the grand opening sign and since it was down the street from my house, I decided to give it a whirl! I was greeted immediately, the staff is incredibly nice. They've been open since April 1st, and it's definitely a good addition to the corner of mills and Virginia. They're located right next to the fresh market. Diana did my pedicure and manicure and she was very thorough. My toe nails are extremely hard (I've been cursed by genetics), and sometimes nail techs get a little frustrated. I warned her about them and she took her time and made sure that they were trimmed and filed perfectly. It was also my very first time getting a gel manicure(yeah I know, what a noob). The same curse that makes my toes horrible makes my fingernails long and nice naturally, so I just got my nails painted with the gel. She was very patient with me learning the gel routine, and I was so excited to learn my nails would be dry upon leaving the salon. It was great experience and I will definitely be back! read more

They take forever to perform any service. A dip manicure takes a minimum of 2 hours and their shaping is noticeably mismatch/crooked.

This place was amazing. The massage chairs are the best I've ever sat in, and the technician massages me for a good amount of time on just the basic pedicure.
