Going to the nail salon always makes me nervous because you never know what you are going to get or how much it is going to cost you. I'm so happy I found this place! The girls who work there are really friendly. The space is open and there is a hook that you can hang your purse so it does not have to be placed on the floor. I like to go in with a picture of what I would like my nails to look like and so far I haven't been let down with any of the designs! Another aspect I love about this place is you can set up an appointment ahead of time so you don't have to wait and you can book with the nail tech you prefer. GET A QUOTE BEFORE YOU SIT I went in with my daughter. We both had a pedicures (standard $25/calluse removal +10), I had a regular manicure($15) and my daughter had a full set. The techs both worked well and we were happy with the service. HOWEVER, they get you when you pay. My daughter was charged $70.00! WHAT, when I questioned the price I was given this song and dance about the product and quality of work. Really? First, my daughters appointment was at 11:15am and she didn't leave until 1:45pm (she only had a 5 min wait upon arrival) Then I was told a full set starts at $50.00. They use acrylic and shellac nail polish together (never heard of this with acrylic). However, my daughter was charged $5 extra because her acrylic came with color, not the standard pink or white acrylic (where does the shellac polish come to play) then they charged $5 extra cus her nails were long, $5 extra cus they had to shape her nails? Really, dont they do that anyhow? Plus $5 extra for placing a rhinestone on each nail (probably the ONLY reasonable charge) The salon is pretty, but the pedicure chairs/foot basket don't massage and aren't the most comfortable. And 2.5 hrs for a pedi/full set is just way to long. Im sure by charging $70.00 is how they make up for the slow work that they do. Make sure you know what you will be charged before you sit. I came in here for the first time today and I will definitely be going back. Inside it is very neat, very clean, and very fancy. The service was excellent. I forgot to ask what my technician's name was, but she had like a pixie platinum blond cut, she was awesome, she explained to me what she was doing and gave me options. All I had to do was show her my inspo pic and she got it done. Every time the door opened they would greet you. I had an absolutely wonderful experience as a first timer here. Anna (owner) was my nail technician and she offered her expertise in a nail color and gave me advise on how to better care for my cuticles in between appointments. The most noticeable thing was how she really took time to care for my cuticles. That part of the service is often overlooked in other salons. I found this salon shortly after moving to the area.. when I came in randomly I was greeted by Carrena a sweet girl who took AMAZING care of me and my nails, and was great to talk to! I loved my nails so much that when Halloween Came around I new I wanted to come see her again!! So here I am getting my nails done, and she's killing it again! I've been coming to Deko for over six years and I've never been happier. Anna the owner is a wonder to be seen, she's quick, efficient, and never sacrifices quality over number of clients. Very accommodating to a busy The salon itself is gorgeous, she's upgraded the equipment and few times but the vibe is always spot one. Refreshments include water, coffee, and wines! I'd like to preface this review by pointing out that I have been here 4 times as a walk-in and seen 3 different women for a gel mani. One of those times was a mani/pedi. Each time the actual mani/pedi has been immaculate. I'm giving this place 2 stars just because of that. HOWEVER- They have a point system which allows you to accumulate points whenever you pay for a service. Today I asked how many points I had, just to realize my points have not been logging because I was told incorrect Information on how they were logged. The woman at the front desk was kind enough to try to find my points and add them into the system. The woman at the front then asked the owner (the woman who's always there with black hair) if it was okay to give me the points based on the honor system since she couldn't find them in the log. I've never felt more awkward in a place of business in my life- her face said it all. She was NOT ok with giving me the points, and even said it was probably my fault because all my appointments were walk-in. She reluctantly gave me the points as she argued with front desk girl about how no one there would give me wrong information. None of it matters now because I will not be going back! Poor costumer service from the OWNER. BTW- the point system is $5 off a $50 dollar service. Not a huge deal, definitely not worth losing a whole costumer over. read more

The girl who did my nails did a great job, but unfortunately at the end they ruined my entire experience. It clearly states in their brochure that an acrylic fill is $20, however they charged me $40 for a fill and repairs to three nails. It was clear that they were trying to overcharge me for a service and I even asked for the owners input. I don't think I've ever paid $40 for a fill. If there's one thing I hate it's a business trying to get over on you based on pricing. So the appointment was going well , picked my color , soaked my feet , the usual. The two nail techs spoke in Spanish the whole time which didn't bother me much. After about 15-20 minutes in, the lady doing my toes kept dabbing at my toe , so I look and I'm bleeding around my cuticle, she doesn't say sorry, I apologize , nothing. Then she kept wiping alcohol over it to clean it up , of course by now it was stinging. Whatever , I let it go. So my fiancé goes to pay , I'm expecting $50... but the total was $70. I asked the ladies at the register, how come my pedicure was $45?! Is gel polish really $20 more ?! Terrible, they said it would be a 30-35min wait and it was an 1 1/2 and when I went to ask how much longer I'm told another 45 min and while I was there another customer had made an appointment for 4pm and was not attended until it was almost 5pm and she was about to leave. It would have been more professional to be up front than to say a time and then say "oh the person that I thought would attend you actually has another appointment". I would like to also note that 2 nail techs were not attending anyone for the time that I was waiting because they were waiting for their clients that were running very late and had not confirmed with them. They lost a customer and everyone one else that I am not recommending here. Update: I left a review on google and the owner tried to discredit my review by saying I had not stepped into their salon. Nice enough salon. The club music and uncomfortable chairs are too much for me personally. I like to get my nails done and relax but as soon as I sat in the pedicure chair I almost got up and left, I should have. No hand massage either which was strange as that's fairly standard. Once I got into my car I noticed the polish was very uneven and full of bubbles. EDIT: Make it "goth" for me? Not sure what that means...I guess I didn't realize that "lounge" meant club music. Today I came in for a walk-in gel manicure around 6:30pm and it was incredibly busy around this time. I had a prior gel mani and so they put me to soak while I waited. Even though I waited for about 30 minutes the staff were attentive and they acknowledged me. This has been my third visit and I absolutely love the staff. Absolutely love this salon. I've lived here for 5 years and failed to find a salon that always worked hard and took pride in their work until I found Deko this year (I even worked right next to it and never went until now...) Every technician at this salon pays great attention to detail and making you feel relaxed during their nail services! I can't speak on anything besides manicures and pedicures, but I was seeing Vanessa until she left on maternity leave and now Jennifer. Both ladies do an amazing job each time, no matter how simple or complex! I have used other technicians when those two were not available and they still did an amazing job. This is not an "in and out" salon looking to do something the quickest way, they pay attention to detail and NEVER rush. They actually offer really trendy designs and techniques one would see on social media and always have the best color selection. That was a plus for me because some salons around here do not offer a lot of SNS options, gel options, or something when you're feeling creative. Thanks Deko for always doing an amazing job! I really don't like leaving bad reviews to businesses but I'm sorry I have to leave one here. I wanted a relaxing spa day and I have always seen this place next to the bubble tea shop I love so I figured to try them. It was going well until my fingers got nicked by the lady not once but 5 times in 5 fingers. My hands were bleeding and she put a solution to stop the bleeding only to ask me "does it burn?" Of course it burns so bad!! Look at the pictures below. The gel polish also was bright pink the day I left the salon and the next day it started this discoloration. I don't expect the person doing my nails to chat with me either however she was on the phone the whole time. This salon also does not have massage chairs even if their chairs looked very posh. I personally would have preferred massage chairs for relaxation. Also, the nail tech on the phone, don't expect any form of massage on your feet either because I didn't get any. The pedicure I selected said massage and other things that come with it but it was rushed. I paid $60 plus tip for the service which I know, people deserve to be paid for the service they provide and their time but I don't think what I got was worth the $60. I would love to get at least half of that back. I'm just very disappointed and now my hands have wounds that I have to cure. read more

Ask for quote at beginning. I sat down for a pedicure and the tech asked what kind of pedicure I wanted and if I wanted gel. I specifically said no gel and that I wanted a standard pedicure. She proceeds to hand me the nail colors to look at and I pick one. At the end of my appointment I was charged $55 for the pedicure. I asked why it was so expensive and she said it was because I got a deluxe pedicure with gel...?! I'm no nail tech but isn't gel set with the UV light? If so, that absolutely did not happen during my pedicure. I told her I let the tech know at the beginning of my appt that I did not want gel, and she tells me that I picked a gel color so it was a $25 charge. WHAT?! It felt like I was being scammed. I also got a manicure and they charged me an extra $5 to shape my nail... it was the exact same shape I entered the salon with. At the end of the day it's only $5, but the feeling of being "nickeled and dimed" by this place is why I won't be back and don't recommend it to others. 2 stars because the staff was friendly overall and the services didn't feel rushed. read more

Today I returned to Deko with high hopes to turn around my previous experience. The manager called me after my original review and apologized . Which I appreciated. Today upon my visit I made an Appointment. I come in with my friend who I invited to try it out . We both received pedicures and full sets . Also you receive one glass of wine , soda or water with service which was nice . We both agree that the pedicures would have been better if they had massage chairs . The chair was comfy but I don't think I will be getting another here . Only because I like the massage chairs . Pedicure was just ok to me . My full set on the other hand was beautifully done . When I walked in here I was so in love with the atmosphere and the receptionist at the front desk was so sweet! I really expected my nails to be nothing but BOMB, however I was really underwhelmed by my experience. To begin with my nail tech was on the phone the whole entire time while doing my nails and it took almost 3 whole hours to do an acrylic set. My friend that I had gone with had gotten a pedi and mani in less time. By the end my nails weren't evenly shaped or uniform in length or thickness. My biggest issue is that she said she did her own nails and they were amazing but barely seemed to put effort into mine. The price was over $80 for a basic acrylic set and heart designs that "looked sharpied on" according to one blunt coworker of mine lol. If I'm gonna blow $80 dollars my nails need to be perfect and these were one of the worst sets I've gotten. 2 stars for the professional and inviting atmosphere and the sweetest receptionist! I felt like having a "me" day, and I've seen this place when I passed around the area, so I went to Google to check their hours of operations, and I saw that they were still open for a couple of more hours, so I decided to go for mani and pedi. As soon as I walked in, they greeted me but I felt I was being judge (for what it looks like, I wasn't dressed to their "upscale" environment) and asked what could they help me with. I informed them that I wanted a mani and pedi. They asked me quickly if I had an appointment, which I replied 'no'. Then they proceeded to informed me they were booked for the day (even though the place was empty, for expect maybe ONE client, and there were several employees) and that they were expecting a customer (singular) that had an appointment and that could walk in at any moment. They asked if I wanted to make an appointment for another day, but politely I said no because it was said in such a manner that it seemed like they didn't want me there. There are plenty of place like this that have better customer service, which will have my gratitude and my excellent tipping (with ok service I leave 15% tip, and with good and great service I leave 20% and even more tip). They just lost a client and any good references I might had given to friends, family and co-workers. In the end, it's their loss. read more

Really wanted to love this place but it's a waste of money. I went for a full set and the lady didn't even use acrylic. She used a gel to stick a false nail on top of my really nail and added gel on that. She said that it should last 3-4 weeks and one popped off within a couple of days. I am so disgusted in how I have been treated. I wasn't going to write a review because I wanted to give the owner Anna amble time to respond and rectify the situation. Unfortunately, it only got worse by the way I was treated and spoken to. First- I went to go have my nails done (SNS Dip). When I arrived, the lady handling the front desk assisted me and I was seated with a nail tech. Unfortunately, the lady couldn't communicate with me so any questions or concerns had to be addressed by the front desk person. I have been getting dip done for years and it normally take an hour to maybe 90minutes. It took over 2hrs and 40minutes to get my nails done! Beyond frustrated doesn't even begin to describe how I was feeling. During this time no one apologized for the length of time and/or offered to take over. Once done I politely voiced my concerns as there were other customers in the salon and I didn't want to cause a scene. I was basically told you are right it shouldn't take that long and then she told me the price. Several days later I sent an email to the info box because I wasn't sure what the owners name was. I left for vacation soon after and while on vacation I have had all the polish crack, the majority of my nail polish pop off (didn't know this could happen) where I had to buy nail glue to glue them back on. All other nails chipped and in bad shape. Anna, the owner said she would redo my nails via email and would call which she never did. I emailed several days later after more issues with nails letting her know that I was on vacation and would contact her when I got back. Again, giving her the benefit of doubt. Today I called spoke with Anna to make an appointment to do my nails today. She immediately started questioning me on everything to where I asked do you not remember my emails? I sent all the issues I had. She said yes. I just needed to confirm the complaint(do you get that many?). She then stated that I can come in today but on the future if it is over 3weeks she wouldn't do them!!!!! OMG. I'm not gonna lie, I lost my cool at that point because I had told her I was on vacation and wouldn't return till the 8th. I can't help that is it 3.5wks later as I was out of town and shouldn't hog had to worry about my nails the whole and my lost hair from it getting constantly caught in them! So I let her know I wouldn't be coming in and I would write negative reviews at this point. Again, you would think she would have reached out to try again to fix the situation but no. I usually never get my nails done since i work as a server and I have a 3 year old child as well as a hyper active dog, getting my nails done would typically start to chip the moment i step foot inside my home. (Granted i get regular nail polish in order to not damage my real nails). Ive been to about i think 8 nail places before in my life and NONE of them impressed me enough to ever come back... usually my nails look worst then when I went in or my design isnt how i wanted it, or 7 out of the 8 french manis i have ever gotten never had straight lines. My birthdays in 3 days and i thought why not try something else and actually give gel a chance. The moment i went inside decko i was impressed over how its right across from my school and i never even knew it was there. The music was a great change of atmosphere as well! The nail tech who took care of me BLEW me away over how detailed she went into just cleaning and shaping my nails. She did SUCH an amazing job. Better than anyone i have ever had ever in my life. My only tiny complaint is she began to cut into my cuticles and my pinky started to bleed... but right away she did sanitize it. That process did hurt a bit but i do blame myself for not communicating with her, so not to biggy. Other than that everything was amazing and my nails look absolutely amazing!
