Come the day of the appointment, Sandy was ready to work her magic. She looked through my inspo photos to get an idea of the color and cut that I was going for. I was going for a low maintenance, no bleach, subtle brunette balayage. For the haircut, I was going to wispy side swept bangs and long layers with a slightly shorter length. Sandy worked her magic with thinning and cutting my hair, coloring it, washing it, then styling it. At the end, she checked again to make sure there wasn't anything else to correct cut-wise. Sandy keeps the appointment fun and enjoyable. I love chatting with her during my appointment! Hacienda Hair Care is still my go-to, highly recommended salon that I keep going back to over the years! The hair stylists here are amazing at their craft, be it hair cutting or coloring. They are efficient and don't try to upsell you any products or services. They also have ideas of what color or style looks good on you if you have no idea what you want to do. Through the years, I've had my hair done by Nikki, Sandy, and Yoo Mee. I can say that they consistently provide good quality work for a really good price (especially nowadays) every time I stop in to get my hair done! For payment, they accept cash or Zelle. Parking right in front of their shop can be limited. I usually prefer to park in the shared lot area, so there's more space.

I have been a client of Jackie for over 5 years and can't say enough about her amazing talent as a stylist. She is now the new owner of Lavish Salon and I'm thrilled for her! She is kind sweet, and a perfect combination of beauty and brains. She consistently goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and special in her chair. The main service I see Jackie for are weekly blowdrys. I have below shoulder length hair and she is a MASTER at the blowdry. She consistently gives me bounce AND volume and I always feel amazing when I leave the salon! There is no one else in town who can compare to her great talent. Her blow drys last for DAYS! I've also had her do an occasional eyebrow wax and she's so good at shaping and clean up. Both my adult sons have used Jackie in the past for hair cuts and have always been pleased. My husband is also regular at Lavish, his stylist is Emily and she is awesome. Alyssa @ Lavish Salon is INCREDIBLE! The images attached are from my first visit with her. She saw the problem and saved my hair! She understood exactly what I wanted, gave it her touch and made everything better. The other hair stylists at the salon are also great. The salon has a chic but friendly vibe going on. The layout, furniture, coffee table, etc... it's welcoming and makes you feel pampered. On the other edge, there's a nail salon and (I think) spa services. Prices are really good! It might be out of someone's price range but it's QUALITY work for the tools and methods they use. Definitely worth checking out. PLUS, it's in Old Town Whittier, so there's always parking because it's not in a crowded area. read more

Because I prefaced that I did not want my hair completely blonde and suggested we did partial balayage because that what i previously had. She shrugged me off with a comment as laughed saying "Oh its okay, your just confused because you don't know hair." My hair is basically 20 different shades of blonde, bronde, and brown, with peaking streaks of my natural dark brown hair. The overall experience was unprofessional and careless which I was still charged with the initial price of $180 even after all these inconveniences. I would not recommend Isabel or this salon to anyone. This place deserves NEGATIVE stars because if I could I would. I walked out worse than I came in and my hair will take months to recover as it was so fried and loss soooo much hair. Steer clear of this place horrendous job and service unless you want your hair botched.
