I like everything about the place: the great sandwiches, the premium coffee, the fresh juices, the ice cream and above all Shazi and Ali who go out of their way to please the hardest customers.

The restaurant itself made a great first impression. It was clean, organized, and even had a nice little area set up for social media photos. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the presentation. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with Greek chicken. The chicken was dry, and it was obvious the seasoning had been sprinkled on after it was cooked instead of being cooked into the meat. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower. The Brussels sprouts looked perfectly crispy, which is exactly how they should have been, but they were soft and soggy instead. To make matters worse, the sauce was packed inside the same container, so the steam made them even soggier while also heating the small plastic sauce container inside. The fried cauliflower was equally disappointing. It looked crispy because of its golden brown color, but there wasn't a bit of crunch. Instead, it was oddly firm, almost al dente, making it feel more undercooked than fried. I also tried the garlic chicken soup, expecting something similar to Avgolemono. Instead, it was a thin, watered down broth with the same dry chicken pieces from the Mediterranean Bowl tossed in. The pita bread served with it was honestly the worst part of the meal and the only thing I threw away. Nothing was completely inedible, but for more than $60 worth of takeout, I expected food that matched the clean, inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Sadly, this experience fell well short of that, and it's not a place I'll be returning to.

Definitely liked the interior and the staff was nice. As for the food - got a bit disappointed by the options we've picked. The egg with Soujouk was too spicy and the vegan beyond burger caused stomach upset for my husband. The guacamole with pita we took for our daughter was good. Maybe it was not the best choice of foods but we're not going back soon.

Its deep & roasted chicken scent provoked me; its wetness soaked the bag as it could not wait to be eaten. I've never been edged this hard before. We made the voyage to Dolores Park. Freedom from the tension alas as we spread our meal wide. We opened the containers to give the food a well needed release: steam came out, aroma reached our noses, and in the white light, our food appeared: - The Roasted Whole Chicken made its entrance all oiled up in olive oil. I squirted the roasted lemon all over my chicken. It was so juicy that it would not stop squirting. The chicken was glistening in its bath of sensuality. It slid into my mouth with no friction. - My Trout Salad asked to be smothered in the creamy Greek Goddess salad dressing. Layers upon layers of green beauty all stuck together in the creaminess. I was tempted to grab it with my bare hands to appreciate it raw, without any utensils between us. Unfortunately, we put up social constructs that hold us back from true expression. My friends and I had peaked. SF could not get any better. Scene: Sunny day in Dolores Park, perfect weather, Souvla, picnic in the shade, peak SF experience Main Cast: Roasted whole chicken - $33 Side of Greek yogurt sauce - $2 Smoked Trout Salad - $23 Side cast: Veg Salad - $15 (friend ate it) Extras: 3 humans

However, having a good sandwich is an essential part of life, and I chose this place because I can count on one here. And it's not because the name sounds like title of a gay porn film. Soft core, of course. Not into the hard stuff. Rimshot please. My sandwich of choice is the $13.50 Vegi on sliced sourdough. I like Dutch Crunch but only on carnivorous creations. Simple and meatless, I know, but I like the Vegi for the crunch of alfalfa sprouts, chopped green onion, and cucumber slices combined with the smooth texture of the provolone cheese and avocado along with the requisite lettuce and tomato (Photo 9). Mr. Pickle doesn't make an appearance in my sandwich, but that's just a preference. It is not a sit-down restaurant and doesn't pretend to be. What it is, is consistently excellent food at prices that still make sense in a city where that's getting rare. We're regulars, and we usually go on Sunday evenings after my girlfriend gets off work. Falafel wrap and chicken shawarma are our usual order -- the falafel has that crisp-shell, tender-middle thing going, and the wraps are generously built. We've branched out plenty and everything we've tried has been good. The other reason we keep showing up is the people. Turna usually takes our order, and she is genuinely lovely -- friendly in a way that isn't a customer-service script. My girlfriend and I always walk out in a better mood than we walked in with, which is worth a lot. Practical notes: halal, lots of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options, open until midnight Fri/Sat, and they cater. Grab some napkins if you're eating the wrap on the move -- it's a big one, and that's a compliment.

This is a must-have. -Falafel Salad 5/5: This was another favorite! The falafel was very flavorful, and the lemon tahini made the salad dry, refreshing, and well-balanced. -Baba Ghanouj 4/5: I personally enjoyed this dip a lot, but it wasn't my friend's favorite.
