I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. I ordered takeout, and when I arrived, my food was ready on time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself made a great first impression. It was clean, organized, and even had a nice little area set up for social media photos.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the presentation. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with Greek chicken. The chicken was dry, and it was obvious the seasoning had been sprinkled on after it was cooked instead of being cooked into the meat. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower. The Brussels sprouts looked perfectly crispy, which is exactly how they should have been, but they were soft and soggy instead. To make matters worse, the sauce was packed inside the same container, so the steam made them even soggier while also heating the small plastic sauce container inside. The fried cauliflower was equally disappointing. It looked crispy because of its golden brown color, but there wasn't a bit of crunch. Instead, it was oddly firm, almost al dente, making it feel more undercooked than fried. I also tried the garlic chicken soup, expecting something similar to Avgolemono. Instead, it was a thin, watered down broth with the same dry chicken pieces from the Mediterranean Bowl tossed in. The pita bread served with it was honestly the worst part of the meal and the only thing I threw away. Ordered a chicken salad and rice bowl last night and noticed a fruit fly in the bowl halfway through! J got food poisoning within an hour and I've been sick all day today. We had breakfast catering from Healthyish Republic for a work conference. We were looking for something unique that would be easy to accommodate a lot of different diets with, and Healthyish Republic was just that! We ordered a spread that included menemen (a scrambled egg dish), sausage, a vegan scramble, a pistachio french toast - which was fantastic and had me going back for more, as well as a spread of cold dishes including cucumber, yogurt, veggies, pita, dip, and salad. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I had and ended up going back for seconds of multiple items. Not everyone loved it as much as I did, some said there weren't many options, but I wholeheartedly disagree and thought there was plenty to choose from. We were attending Carnaval, and happened to find this hidden gem. It's right on the corner of 24th and Harrison Street. I've done keto on and off for a few years and when I first tried it years ago, these places didn't exist!!! So I'm just glad that they do now. I track my macros daily and count my net carbs so I asked if they had any type of nutritional/dietary information for the menu and the worker told me no. Consists of feta cheese with black sesame, cecil (string cheese) with walnut, labne (mild cream cheese) with zaatar, olives with orange, tomato and cucumber with fresh herbs, muhammara (red pepper dip) with roasted sesame seeds, scrub salad with tomato & avocado, tahini, pomegranate molasses, milk jam, honey clotted cream with pistachio powder, soujouk (turkish sausage) with eggs and fried pepper, warm pita, and rusticana boulot toast. Off the top of my head, I can only think of a few places offering Turkish breakfast is this is one of my favorites. There is so much variety, which i love, making it accessible to many diners. The restaurant itself is a lifestyle inspired restaurant so is also accessible as a whole with options encompassing keto, gluten free, vegan, peleo, and Mediterranean. Favorite items from the Turkish breakfast include cecil with walnut, muhammara, honey clotted cream with pistachio powder, and soujouk. If you need more food, definitely opt for the menemen, which is a Turkish style scrambled egg with onion, tomatoes, peppers, and cheese. The cookies are very wet inside, it's like a wet sand or slushie texture it's so strange, I've never had a cookie like that. I kinda feel like they forgot to bake them. They are very sweet too, painfully sweet. The keto fat bomb desert was pretty disappointing for me too cus you can't really tell the peanut butter taste or texture so it's basically just a soft ball of cream cheese with chocolate chips around it. You don't quite expect a healthy option among the calorific and carb-heavy temptations on 24th Street in the Mission. OK, healthyish...does that mean it's healthy adjacent? It's been open for well over a year, but I guess I've been walking in the other direction of 24th because I had not noticed it before. What was appealing was that they had menus unique to dining proclivities. Keto, vegan, gluten-free, paleo, Mediterranean, and the healthiest of them all - bakery. OK, I'm kidding though it looked like all their bakery items were cookie bites anyway. It arrived in a tray much like one of those packaged meals you order through your weight management program. However, it was pretty tasty though a tad watery. This place is dangerously close to my house and I find myself going and spending too much here too frequently! I really enjoy their Mediterranean bowl with chickpeas and mushrooms and I get it every time! The food is flavorful, well-seasoned, and hearty while still being pretty healthy. For dessert, I recommend the Keskul, or Almond Pudding. Very tasty, nice texture! The staff are always polite and prompt, and so the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. For a bowl alone I'm paying nearly $25 out the door.
