Overcooked Hash brown that was probably throw back in the oil to be reheated..
    Tee P.

I have a co-worker that stops here before coming to work and I wanted Hash browns and instead of Hash browns I got Kettle chips this is ridiculous it happened before and I figured maybe just today but now it's happened again and on top of it they were greasy this place is a hit or miss sometimes it's good sometimes it's not I just don't post everytime it's not good but after so many times now it needs to be known.

We were greeted by friendly staff who asked if we had any questions about the menu. The donuts were good, would order them again. The breakfast sandwich on a bagel was delicious with lots of customization options. My oldest son really liked the short stack with chicken apple sausage and hash brown patty! We were visiting from out of state so we likely won't happen upon this place again, but we would recommend it to anyone staying in the area. We saw some locals here so that also told us it was likely a good spot. There were also clean places to sit which was nice!

This beautiful sandwich was only $8. I don't know why but this was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I ever had. I always make sure to get one whenever I am in the area. Service is super quick considering it's a busy morning. There is no seating, so it's more of a grab and go type of thing.

Breakfast sandwich: eggs, apple sausage, hash brown, cheese. Totally worth it!!!

I came in with low expectations, but this place completely exceeded them. I was nearby working in the area and decided I'll stop by to check it out. I was surprised by their menu selections. They served, breakfast, lunch and some dinner also breakfast pastries. A young Caucasian gentleman handled my order efficiently and offered excellent customer service. I didn't have high hopes for the food I ordered but was pleasantly surprised by how good their food was. It was so delicious that I came the next day. Their sandwiches and breakfast I highly recommend. So happy I opted for All Star Cafe rather than Cumaica nearby. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and added apple sausage and hash brown. Can't wait to come by again.

Got a burger here and it was okay. For $7, I would've liked more lettuce and tomato in my burger, but I guess it's hard for mom and pop places to make ends meet nowadays. Service from the young man at the counter was friendly and efficient. A bunch of his friends were outside the cafe chatting and smoking and after he took my order he went outside to join them. Having them there made the area seem safer; they were all respectful and friendly enough. And the young man went back to work as soon as my order was ready! I think I'll try some of their donuts next time. They looked good and they were huge! There were croissants that were about twice the size of "normal" croissants!

A gem! I work in the area and wanted breakfast. Decided to come in on a whim and I'm so glad I did. No frills, mom-and-pop shop that serves up delicious food. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sliced sourdough bread, eggs, cheese, chicken apple sausage, and a hashbrown patty. It was exactly what I needed. Super satisfying! The young guys who work there are super friendly and provide great service. Fully intend to go back to try some of the lunch items.

How can I be three blocks away and not stop in? I have 45 minutes to order my food, jump in to a ride share, and be on the other side of The City. Fu*k it. I'm all-in! Great to see the owner, Ken and his mom, flourishing and well. Trying to decide on what yummy lunch plate to carryout. Garlic Fish with rice and a scoop of mac salad. Just like being in Hawai'i. So Ono!

** The following review reflects my experience DURING the COVID-19 pandemic. ** Sometimes you need a donut. That'll be the title of my autobiography and it'll be right in the bargain bin between Snooki's "A Shore Thing" and Lance Armstrong's "It's Not About the Bike. It's About Me Cheating". That's because I crave a donut every now and then, just a plain one, no icing, no powdered sugar, and yep, I come here even though this intersection can get pretty sketch. They also serve sandwiches, burgers and a surprisingly robust selection of hot plates from French toast to Mongolian chicken over rice. I've seen people eat them there in the pandemic. I'm not in love with griddle-cooked food anymore, so I can't comment on any of that. But sometimes you need a donut. A glazed old-fashioned (photo: https://bit.ly/3hMkwl7)? What? No plain ones. OK, for a buck and a quarter, I'll survive. DOUGHNUTS - 4 stars...hard to screw up, don't you think? AMBIANCE - n/a...I was in and out so fast SERVICE - 4 stars...he was very friendly TOTAL - 4 stars...Sometimes you need a donut...available in paperback RELATED - Hunting for doughnuts? So we got an extra drink for free. Trying the iced latte, it was pretty disappointing lol. I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

We chose this large city location thanks to easy parking and a convenient stop on our drive. It was a beautiful morning, which was easy to enjoy thanks to the high ceilings, big glass windows, and open main door. The first floor has a central counter to order food and drinks; the glass cabinet has a bunch of rotating pastries from a local bakery. They have restrooms and a merchandise area here too. At the front are counter seats along the front window, and also a horseshoe that looks into the roasting area, which is a great place to smell the beans. There's an upstairs loft that overlooks the cafe below, also with a test kitchen area and offices across to the front. They definitely have a larger business going on, and I can see why it's so popular. We ordered a latte, iced coffee, and various pastries to start our day. Prices were reasonable for the quality. Where Sightglass lost points for me: -Fire up that hot spot, because there's no wifi. -My husband's breakfast sandwich was cold in the middle. -Worst of all... paper straws. After I ordered, I took a seat in the waiting area by the Togo window to wait for my order. There was plenty of tables for dining in, but they were filled so I grabbed my order to eat outside. There was a little area in the front of the store for you to eat at. Stonemill matcha has been on my radar for a long time now and I'm happy to say I was not disappointed. I ordered the matchazuke 4.5/5 and the matcha latte 4/5 and they were both delicious. The matchazuke was perfectly savory, each bite packed full of umami. The piece of salmon was seasoned nicely, not too salty and paired perfectly with the matcha. The matcha broth was so comforting, you could taste the bonito dashi they used to make it. I was worried the portion would be too small but it was pretty filling! The matcha latte had a beautiful deep green color and was creamy and not too sweet. I did noticed that it was a little grainy, which was the only thing I didnt like about this experience. My partner ordered a hojicha latte and said it was a 5/5 and it's her new favorite place to get hojicha latte in SF. I would definitely come back and try more of their menu.
