I got the lamb sandwich and my friend got the chicken one! They were good just a bit dry which then I got the garlic yogurt sauce thingy for 2$. The fries were sooooooo gooooood!!

Delicious experience! I got a chicken salad with fries on top and it was filling and tasty. Would totally get again. Found seating on a Sunday evening and had a pleasant experience overall.

I was on a work trip in the area and grabbing lunch with some colleagues. This is an order-at-the-counter, seat-yourself kind of place. I got the lamb sandwich, which was $16 and came wrapped with harissa-spiked yogurt, cucumber, radish, pickled red onion, and feta. The lamb itself was SO tender. The flavor combination was perfect and each ingredient was really well balanced. So delicious. 9/10. It's also a great portion size--I almost couldn't finish it. I probably would've saved half if I didn't have to head straight back to work after lunch. It was my colleague's birthday, and they were kind enough to let us light candles and sing happy birthday, which was really nice. I also just loved the overall vibe of the restaurant. It's very nicely decorated with lots of natural light. I will be coming back to try the other menu items. I would definitely recommend this place!

Came in for a quick takeout order and walked out impressed. Ellie at the front was warm, helpful, and made the whole experience feel personal, not transactional. Small thing, but it sets the tone. The yogurt is genuinely special. Not the supermarket version anyone can get, this one has the kind of depth and tang that makes you slow down. The honey and baklava together are a small luxury, and the combination works better than either one on its own. The chicken is the move. I got mine to go and it still held up beautifully by the time I sat down with it. Tender, well seasoned, the kind of dish that makes you want to come back for the dine in experience. The space itself is modern and inviting, the kind of place you'd happily bring someone for a casual dinner or grab something on the way home. Easy 5 stars.

When the weather is hot, it's ice cream time. So I popped into Souvla to get a frozen Greek yogurt. It's been a while since I visited Souvla, so it was nice to see 4 different toppings for the Greek yogurt. I ordered the Cretan wildflower honey $6. The thick sweet honey complemented the creamy Greek yogurt well and it was delicious. Would like to return and try their food sometime.

Souvla is so good. From their Lamb salad greek style to their greek fries and olive oil greek yogurt. Great choice for lunch. Grab a glass of wine and sit on their outdoor seating facing the sidewalk of passerby's. Service is fast and friendly.

I ordered ahead online, my order was ready almost 10 mins ahead of schedule and they did update the DoorDash notification to let me know it was ready. Black sheep sandwich: Black Sheep plant-based lamb with harissa-spiked yogurt, cucumber, radish, pickled red onion, and feta cheese wrapped in warm, fluffy pita bread. The vegan lamb was pretty good, juicy and salty. I liked the feta and pickled onion too. Lamb salad: I tried only a little bit of it. The salad has a lot of kale and lettuce. I actually like the plant based lamb better even if it definitely tasted different (not quite equaling lamb), I just wish it didn't cost $2 more. They had an outdoor table with utensils provided at the front, which is close to the sidewalk. One of the staff came out to check on us and offer us water even though we were only eating takeout outdoors, so I thought that was considerate of them.

Ordered the free bird chicken salad and frozen greek yogurt with baklava crumbles. Although the salad tastes great with all the assortment of toppings (pickled red onion, oranges, pea shoots and cheese), they skimp out on the chicken. Not the most filling salad especially when hungry. The frozen greek yogurt is tart and gets it sweetness from the baklava + honey drizzle. The baklava crumbles arent crispy/flaky/crunchy. They're clusters that are soft. Few tables inside and outside (self seating). They provide a number so that they can bring your order to you whether its dine in or takeout.

Been to this place more than a handful of times. It's alright. It's healthy, it's a high quality chain. I eat here when I'm on a diet, so don't expect to get full, but lots of fiber and protein so not bad. Food tastes good. It's honestly not my type of food, but I'll eat it to be healthy.

The best soft serve frozen yogurt is right here at Souvla! It's tart and tangy and so delicious. My favorite is with salt and olive oil. It's absolutely worth every minute of your day to go and worth every calorie to enjoy.

solid souvla location! first time trying the pork and lamb salads with friends, as well as the fries. all three items were amazing! the fries were especially incredible -- great flavor and crunch. i personally ordered two of my go-to items, the chicken sandwich and lemon chicken soup. the chicken sandwich was really good as usual, but the lemon chicken soup was much saltier than usual and had not as much chicken as i was expecting! not sure if it was the bottom of a batch or just an off day, but this was a bit disappointing to me. either way, souvla is such an establishment that i would still come back. service is friendly and ambiance is what you'd expect at a fast casual spot in the city. pay at the front and seat yourself, they bring out the food to you. would recommend!!

I haven't tried any of their food items yet, so this review is just about their frozen Greek yogurt, but it's amazing. I especially love the one with honey. There's something about the sweet, cold honey paired with the tangy, tart yogurt that just works perfectly. The texture is incredibly smooth, making each bite a delight. It's the perfect little dessert after a heavy meal, the tartness cuts through the richness and helps wake me up from a food coma. Definitely a go-to spot if you're looking for a refreshing, satisfying treat.

The froyo was alright a bitter. It tasted better with the graham crackers and honey. If you like sweeter froyo, this might not be your cup of tea. The best combo in my opinion is with honey and the bread crumbs!

It was like eating in a private garden, surrounded by a nice floral arrangement. The food was superb. Highest quality. The salad appetizers were fresh & crunchy. The feta cheese & small lavash breads were a great way to start. See the mains in the photos. My lamb chops & beef/lamb skewer was excellent. My sons raved about their salmon & beef. The rice was perfect: real longer grained basmati, delicately spiced, with hints a saffron. I loved the roasted tomato, raw onions, cilantro, & mint leaves. Of course plenty of lavash. Easily a 4.5. I'd give a 5, but my wife said her chicken was a little dry. Still tasty, especially with her rice that had raisins, dates, & lentils. Maybe nit picking, but overall good. The Napoleon with a scoop of raspberry ice cream was excellent. This Napoleon wasn't so creamy, but more about layers of cake. More complex than the usual variant. I'm a fan. The drinks were on point. Great ambiance & waiter. Great portions & value for this level of quality. Lavash takes pride in what they do. We will be back for great Persian cuisine.

It is not a sit-down restaurant and doesn't pretend to be. What it is, is consistently excellent food at prices that still make sense in a city where that's getting rare. We're regulars, and we usually go on Sunday evenings after my girlfriend gets off work. Falafel wrap and chicken shawarma are our usual order -- the falafel has that crisp-shell, tender-middle thing going, and the wraps are generously built. We've branched out plenty and everything we've tried has been good. The other reason we keep showing up is the people. Turna usually takes our order, and she is genuinely lovely -- friendly in a way that isn't a customer-service script. My girlfriend and I always walk out in a better mood than we walked in with, which is worth a lot. Practical notes: halal, lots of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options, open until midnight Fri/Sat, and they cater. I booked our table about a month in advance, which turned out to be the right move because the restaurant was bustling during the lunch hour. To start, we ordered four small plates to share among our party of four: meatballs, saganaki, spanakotiropita, and a pair of dips (melitzanosolata and favasalata) with pita. Everything was excellent, and our spread was inclusive of a wide variety of flavors and textures: salty, creamy, acidic, sweet, crunchy. The meatballs and the dips are definitely a must-order and are ideal for sharing. The spanakotiropita were larger and more filling than expected, so if I were to order those again, I'd dial it back and stick with small plates rather than a full-sized entree. The saganaki was a showstopper; it is served sizzling and crackling on a cast iron dish and had a nice salty flavor that allowed the cheese to be served on its own. For my main dish, I ordered the braised goat - which is not something I'd typically order because goat meat is usually tough - but I was intrigued how it was prepared as a stew. The dish almost reminded me of a Moroccan tagine - the goat was braised to peak tenderness and bathed in a slightly fruity and well-spiced sauce; dotted with pieces of melted feta; and served on top of a bed of baked orzo, which was served fresh-from-the oven in a mini cast iron dish. I was so full after our meal that I had to walk it off for a few blocks, but I cannot wait for our next special occasion so we can come back and celebrate with another feast at Kokkari Estiatorio.

We had the zucchini cakes and heirloom tomato salad, and both were excellent. And that's basically where the good part ends. I am honestly getting tired of restaurants thinking they can charge ridiculous prices just because they have a nice interior and call themselves upscale. There were four of us. Two had fish, one had chicken and one had moussaka. There was absolutely nothing special about any of these dishes. Nothing was terrible, but for these prices, "not terrible" is not exactly an achievement. My fish was around $50. It was baked fish with potatoes and a few onions. That's it. No special sauce, no interesting flavor, no preparation that made you think, wow, I couldn't make this at home. It was literally fish, potatoes and onions. Maybe these were very special potatoes. I don't know. The desserts were the same story. They were fine. Not bad at all, but nothing memorable and certainly nothing that justified the overall price. Dinner for four was over $500 I'm sorry, but if I'm spending $500+ on dinner for four people, I expect at least some of the food to be exceptional. I don't mind paying a lot for great food. I do mind paying a lot simply because a restaurant has decided that this is what their food should cost. And then, after charging these prices, restaurants still expect customers to add another 20-25% to pay their servers. Our waiter was excellent and deserved to be paid well. Maybe the restaurant should pay him well? If you're charging $50 for a piece of baked fish and some potatoes, surely there is enough money somewhere in there to pay your staff properly. Nice atmosphere, great service, excellent appetizers. Everything else was completely average at very un-average prices.
