I have had family and friends who've used Lawrence the Florist for years and love them. I went in a few weeks ago and needed some flowers delivered to Sunset Hills. A co-worker of mine passed away and I wanted to find something for the service. I wandered around trying to find something. I knew I wanted something beautiful. I was treated very rudely by a younger woman with long blondish hair, I have no idea why she was so rude to me. Turned off by her apparent attitude I decided to take my business elsewhere. I won't return, I mean its a cute store but that's it. I ended up getting flowers at another flower shop. If you want to be treated rudely by all means go there; if you like being treated badly. Whomever owns this place needs to teach this person how to interact with people properly or lose business. Not going back and telling everyone I know. read more

0 stars for their initial effort; 5 stars for the recovery. Let me explain. I very nearly forgot to send some flowers home to my wife on our 14th anniversary. (I had my other bases covered, but this is a touch that can't hurt.) A quick search for a florist near our home revealed Lawrence, who has a bigger review catalog on insiderpages.com. I proceeded to place an order through their website, whose fulfillment is handled by eflorist.com. I completed the selection, chose Sept. 1 (the current day!) as the delivery date, and hoped for the best. My email confirmation showed up moments later, and I figured all was well. Flash-forward to 4:45pm. I call home and ask my wife if anything's showed up. She says, "nope, no deliveries today. Why?" I say, "uh, well, I was expecting this thing from Amazon. No biggie." Deep down, I'm steaming. I call Lawrence at 5:10pm, but they close at 5pm. I'm done. Baked. Out of morbid curiosity, I call the next morning to see exactly what happened to my order. A very pleasant voice answers the phone; I tell her my same day order never arrived. She says she's very sorry and will look into it, she just needs the order number. I give it to her from the email. 20 minutes later she calls back and apologetically states that they never received the delivery order from eflorist.com. My credit card was never charged, and this is "the first time it's ever happened." I enjoy the stock nature of the response, but she says "we'd like to send something over to you if you'll be home today, if we can, in order to make it up to you a bit. I'm really sorry." Flash-forward to 4:45pm, D+1. The delivery truck pulls up and out comes my original order -- a dozen red roses in a simple, elegant vase -delivered free of charge and with a custom note further apologizing, profusely, for the error. It is a beautiful arrangement; they certainly have talent. This is good. Accept the fact your system screwed up and try to make good on it. Will I use Lawrence again? Sure. Will I also call to confirm they received the order next time? Abso-damn-lutely. Sometime the personal touch is required on both ends; you can't always blindly trust HTTPS. read more

You know what's worse than bringing a cake to someone's going away party? Nothing!......unless you end up bringing a SECOND cake to the same party. My department was planning to surprise our supervisor with a cake as a going away gift on her last day, but low and behold we get bamboozled by the HR department who ends up giving her a cake the day BEFORE she leaves. Scrambling to find a replacement the day of, I ended up running into this place. I was helped by a nice asian lady who whipped up a beautiful bouquet quickly and within our set spending limit. My fiance and I casually walked in here yesterday afternoon to find a flower for some last minute Mother's Day gift. We looked through number of interesting plants in variety selections of vases. We were expecting to spend quite a bit of money at this florist shop but we were pleasantly shocked to find reasonable price tags on them. Why have I been getting flowers from Safeway next door when there is a better alternative? We ended up buying a nice succulents plants in a green oval shaped vase for much less than our planned budget and my fiance's mother was happy to receive it today. I ordered flowers for my mom at the hospital. I am out of town, so I decided to go with a local florist I didn't know. I didn't know the protocol at the hospital and she didn't get them. I called the florist and they *could have* told me, sorry, your fault! But they didn't, they offered to send a new arrangement to her house. They made it right, even when they didn't necessarily have to. If I order flowers again in the area, I will definitely use Lawrence the Florist. read more

I ordered online and never got to see the flowers in person, but the recipient loved them and from the pictures I saw I'd have to agree!

They only recieved 2 stars because what my wife recieved was around half of the carnations shown on the site. (See pics) Yes, there were 3 roses but there should've been way more pink and red carnations. Also I went to telefloras main site and saw the they were $10 cheaper so these guys put a $10 mark up on providing less flowers. Is it just because it's Valentines day and that gives florists free reign to gouge the male consumer? Maybe..It's too bad that they market their merchandise like fast food. My mom is a huge fan of flowers, and really appreciates receiving a bouquet whenever an occasion arises. I usually head to places like Costco or Safeway for flowers because of the convenience, but often found that the flowers at those stores don't last very long, and they look pretty generic. Imagine how thrilled I was to learn that there was a florist right across the street from my local Safeway! I went in, took a peek around, and asked if they could help me arrange a bouquet to congratulate my mother on her dance performance tonight. I don't know much about flower arrangement, so I answered a couple of questions (color and price range) and let them decide on the arrangement for me. It's absolutely gorgeous and completely exceeded my expectations for a custom arranged bouquet. I will definitely be coming to this shop again and highly recommend that others give them a try as well. read more

It was my husband and my Anniversary last Saturday and we had dinner reservations at Ascend on the 31st floor of Lincoln Square South. We arrived and were shown to our table. I didn't know what to look at first...the fabulous view or the gorgeous flower arrangement sitting on the table! My husband went to LTF several days ahead of time and told them he wanted something very special, and it was to be delivered to Ascend on Saturday at a specific time. The choice of flowers....tulips, hydrangeas, roses, baby orchids. cabbage roses, and more....was breathtaking. The pastel color palette was so beautiful and creative. Quite impressed! I walked in needing an arrangement for my Mother in-law's Birthday. I was quickly greeted by a lady who was more than helpful. I told her what I was looking for and she let me know they did not have many arrangements available (it was later in the day) but she was more than happy to put one together for me and would be ready in 20 min! I ordered on a whim on a thursday morning through their online system. The system was well-designed, allowing me to put in notes to the recipient and notes to the delivery driver. My order was to deliver a small bouquet of flowers to a business in DT Bellevue. Later, I found out that the recipient that I'm trying to surprise will be leaving her work by 1pm. It was 12pm. I franctically called the florists up and explained the situation. The gal on the phone was friendly and understood my situation, but explained that the driver had just left 5 minutes ago and should be getting there really soon since they are also coming from Bellevue. While I was talking to her on the phone, I get a text from my recipient thanking me for the flowers! Definitely quick delivery, reasonably priced, and friendly service. I will never order from these other online floral sites like proflowers.com and onlineflowers.com. The service and quality of flowers do not match up at all. INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and BEAUTIFUL ARRANGEMENTS! I have just had a VERY good experience with Lawrence the Florist! The Saturday before Mother's Day, their delivery person dropped my flowers, walking up to the house, chipping a huge chunk out of the vase. The poor guy handed them to my husband, apologizing profusely. A couple minutes later, I had a call from the florist, also apologizing! (Note: I didn't have to call them!) They offered another bouquet, which was very nice of them, I thought. An hour later, that delivery was made, but....while the flowers were very nice, it was noticeably smaller than the first. Remember that this was the day before Mother's Day! But, I called back, and was very polite but did explain the difference. I I know that it was VERY hectic that day; he asked if they could send out yet another bouquet (SO, so nice of him!). Being selfish, I asked if he would do it a week later on my birthday. First, Lawrence the Florist won us through their service. Dawn spent considerable time helping my sisters and I select the perfect flowers for our Mom's memorial and burial services. She gave us great ideas and confidence that she would be able to customize arrangements we found in their books (some of which were standard, but they also had some very creative and unique selections as well). To help us visualize the ideas she brought out stems to show us the colors and types of flowers and greenery. We visited several local florists and Lawrence the Florist had superior service and attention to detail. Second, they "WOW'd us" with their product! All our floral arrangements from Lawrence arrived in excellent condition and on time. The freshness and quality of flowers and obvious floral arranging skills were above and beyond our expectations as well as superior to the dozens of other flower arrangements we received as gifts from other florists. The color and flower combinations were stunning! The rose buds were huge, and they bloomed beautifully later as they were also long lasting. Each and every flower was perfection! Don't be turned away by the prices...The prices at Lawrence are higher than other florists we interviewed, but we chose them for the highest quality and service. It was worth every penny as we got what we paid for! Most occasions for flower giving are important and memorable events that warrant the finest and most trust-worthy florist. I really wanted to build by own bouquet for my wedding. I went to a few different flower shops looking for flowers, but I felt like it was a huge sales push or they were annoyed that I wasn't spending extra money for them to make my bouquet. The way I found this place was my husband. He had them make his boutonniere and seeing how helpful they were, I decided to give them a try. Before our wedding, I went to probably 4 different flower shops. I ended up going here THE DAY OF MY WEDDING! Talk about pressure. I had no bouquet and time was running out. I'm just really thankful for the service and help they provided. Highly recommend them to anyone. I was blown away by how beautiful their flowers are. I wanted white roses with a blush tint. Other places tried convincing me to buy their white roses that were a green tint. It was annoying but I'm so happy I found this place to help me out, especially since it was such short notice. I am so pleased with Lawrence the Florist! My husband ordered a beautiful anniversary arrangement to be delivered yesterday to an office in the expedia building -- but not part of expedia. It was mis-delivered to their reception rather than our reception. He ordered it from PK, the manager and was looking forward to my call telling him how happy and surprised I was. It never made it to me. This morning we called PK right as they opened and explained that I never received it. PK was so accommodating! He apologized and then asked how to make this right. We gave him our home address and within 30 minutes, he was at our front door with not only the arrangement, but also a bottle of wine to say Happy Anniversary and sorry for the mix up. If I could do zero stars I would. I won't go into extreme detail, I ordered a mix of yellow, light pink and dark pink roses. And I received white roses, light pink and dark pink. I immediately said the roses were not yellow, I was told "those are as yellow as roses get" they were WHITE. I said again, I like yellow roses and these are not yellow. I was told "you could dip them in food coloring to get them more yellow" WTF why would I spend this much money on colored flowers to color them MYSELF. I have tried contacting this office many times, no one is there during "buisness hours". The white flowers have also completely wilted in 2 days. QFC is cheaper and you'll get what your asking for. read more

I called an hour before they closed to see if I could get a corsage. They were able to get one for me when Safeway couldn't. I wanted a red rose with baby's breath and nude ribbon. They didn't have baby's breath but they did have the most gorgeous nude ribbon. The red roses were too heavy for the bands they use so I had to get spray roses that were small and a darker red than we wanted. They did put 3 blooms and one small bud on there which was really pretty! I usually make my own corsages and the band I get from craft stores can hold really heavy flowers so maybe if they got thicker bands they could expand their possibilities. But other than those complications my experience was amazing! The guy who helped me gave me multiple options and I ultimately was super satisfied with the purchase. It was gorgeous, really! 27$ for a corsage- 30 after tax. Pretty normal pricing for a corsage. Wish I had gotten a photo! ***i had to update my review because it turns out that the corsage broke during the prom. Bummer. They really need to update their supplies to make them more sturdy ***yet again I have to update this review. When I was paying for the corsage, the employee told me my card was declined. I thought this was strange but nevertheless we ended up putting it on my husbands card. His card was charged. I checked my card statement and sure enough there's another charge on my card. I needed to have flowers sent right away to a colleague in Overlake Hospital on behalf of our office. I called a little before 9:00 am and the gal I spoke with was so nice. I was drawing a blank what to have on the card, and she gave me a suggestion. I asked if they could put a rush on this delivery, and she said they have routes established but she'd let them know.
