Unfortunately, AI also says that Escolar is banned in Japan because it causes severe diarrhea if you eat more than 4-6 ounces of it. I ate like 10-12 pieces. So, crossing my fingers that I didn't mess myself up later. So anyway...don't eat too much Escolar...even though it's SO GOOD. The salmon sushi was also quite good and was my second favorite piece. I kept lifting up my fish to dab a little wasabi underneath and ai like that you can decide how much wasabi, soy sauce, and other dipping things you want. They have it all by the front door- which I don't really like, but it's OK. It's not like it's causing any problems- it just invites a few I can think of. The place is trendy looking. The staff is friendly and helpful. They clear the empty plates and tops off your table pretty quickly- I had a hard time amassing 3-4 empty plates. The music is light but current. Since the place is still new, everything is very clean and generally looks nice. The lunch AYCE special is definitely worth it if you are hungry and know you want sushi. The sushi was not the best I've ever had, but it was good and only float $20. I mean, that's a straight steal for decent sushi! They offer steak and bento boxes and other items as well- you can see their menu for that stuff. The AYCE came with an option of soup and starters as well. The value is here folks! It's not exactly a date spot, but it's definitely family friendly and I can see friend groups having a good time together. What I did not see was alcohol. I asked about it and the waitress/hostess said she didn't know if they were thinking about doing it in the future. That's perfectly fine. It's just something a lot of people like to know. It's an All You Can Eat revolving Sushi that provides a much better sushi lover's experience than the popular Kura Revolving Sushi as Kura, you're likely to spend $50 to pound a bunch of sushi where as with this place, $30 plus tax and tip will give you all you need at one solid price to where you can probably order pick out all the sushi you want and eat $50 worth of it and still pay the one time price of $30. SO in the metro Atlanta area, there are four sushi concepts all competing for your attention. There's the a la carte revolving sushi joints, the sushi buffet, the generic All you can eat sushi, and then this place, the all you can eat revolving sushi concept. For the value, the AYCE revolving sushi provides a much more accessible dining experience. That being said, Takaya delivers the revolving sushi on a conveyor belt experience. It's a quaint little place that seats roughly 80-100 people or so. The interior is kitschy Japanesey that's well lit, homely, and family or date night worthy. The service is basic. Once you ask for the AYCE option, they're attentive, professional, and courteous. Since it's all you can eat, you will be piling on the serving dishes all over your table so the staff will continue to buzz around your table picking up empty dishes, refilling your drink, and checking to see if you're up for appetizers or desserts. Now for the sushi. The selection is rather limited. During my time, I've seen the seaweed salad about 7 times as the belt pushes each offering my way. The sushi is fresh to be sure and they serve other options like Escolar or saba, both are buttery and flaky fish. I am however a bit let down by the lack of structural integrity of the rice balls as 90% of the sushi I ate crumbled while dipping in my soy sauce/wasabi mix. Otherwise, each sushi has it's own unique flavor aside from the generic salmon, eel, and yellowtail which are my absolute favorites. I would have taken all the salmon nigiri but I wanted to be courteous to the other diners and not horde my favorites in one sitting. They come in pairs so pace yourself when you're here. They do have a lunch and dinner price so w/ dinner it's the $30 but again, it's all you can eat so figure out how hungry you want to be when you go. One note... if you intend to eat all you can eat and you come with a party of people, they all need to also have the all you can eat option. You know the reason why so no need to question it.
