I have been to Law's for about 2 years and this place is just amazing to walk into! First of all..you walk in and its cozy, bar right in front of you, people are nice, drinks always being served with happy smiles, and the food! Omg! Very disappointing, got prime rib, it had no flavor at all, & was about 1/3 fat. We had to ask for horseradish. Potatoes very plain. Veggies were just average. The best part was the salad, good ingredients wonderful dressings. Waitress was attentive to our needs. They pour very healthy drinks, but no draft beer, just bottled. I have come here several times for taco wed. The tacos are usually pretty good, especially for the low price of 99 cents. Today, I was informed that on taco wed, they now charge for water ($2.75). Loved it! Came here a few times a couple of years ago and did not care for food or staff. My husband wanted to try it so we came back and what A GREAT CHANGE! Staff and food was excellent! If I had wrote this review a couple years ago it would have been 5 stars. I used to go here regularly for a cold beer and some Karaoke. Not to mention the food is fantastic and decently priced with amazing daily specials. They are kid friendly with a family dining area that is mostly separated from the bar area which is cool. This place has gained an awesome following. Their live bands on the weekends inside are always great. With that has come the same obnoxiously drunk regulars there every single weekend that pack the karaoke patio and are to cheap to even tip their KJ. If you can get their early or look past the obnoxious drunks I say go for it. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and if you're lucky... Michael will be bar tending with a smile and a friendly hello. We came in late tonight to grab a bite to eat and a cocktail or two. We've always loved their steaks and burgers, but were very surprised with their Baja Chicken and Salmon salads. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and it was right here at our favorite stop in. Do yourself a favor and try this place for the first time (or again). I challenge you to try something different and I think you will be pleasantly surprised and will return because it is good food, good times, and good prices. First, I want to say that my friends and I have enjoyed the food, drinks and entertainment at Laws for more than a decade. Laws is reasonably priced and has always had delicious steaks, salads, sandwiches, and one of the best clam chowder soups I have ever had. In fact, I have made a point to tell -everyone- I know to go to Laws and have the clam chowder. A friend and I went to Laws for dinner two weeks ago, and again this past Saturday. Two weeks ago, my friend ordered the ribeye and I had the cobb salad, and on Saturday, my friend had the tuna melt and I had the BLT with clam chowder. Unfortunately, some of the food we were served these past two visits was not representative of the quality we have experienced in the past and have come to expect at Laws. Two weeks ago, the cobb salad I was served was VERY delicious. Regretfully, the "ribeye" my friend was served looked and tasted like a freeze-dried top sirloin. Even more regrettable was the poor attempt by the "manager" to convince my friend that the terrible cut of meat she was given WAS indeed, a ribeye. She (the manager) said that they 'cut their own steaks at Laws', that my friend was 'fortunate to have received a larger cut of meat, instead of the 10 ounce ribeye that she ordered', and 'THAT was why the steak looked so different from a 10 ounce ribeye'. This past Saturday evening, my friend and I were -both- served food that did not taste good. My BLT sandwich was very delicious; however, the best way to describe the clam chowder I was served is: "Watery potato broth with chopped clams, potatoes and carrots." (Honestly, it was far worse than any clam chowder I have ever had out of a can, and I am certain there was absolutely NO CREAM OR MILK in the chowder.) The tuna melt served to my friend smelled and tasted extremely bad and "fishy". If the owner/manager read this post, PLEASE follow up with your kitchen/cook staff so they understand what constitutes a 'ribeye cut', how a tuna melt should taste/smell, and how the clam chowder should be made. If you -or they- changed the clam chowder recipe...PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK! (One of the employees told us that the restaurant had recently hired new cooks/kitchen staff so...Maybe they do not know how to follow the tried and true Laws recipes???) Since we NEVER before had bad food at Laws, my friend and I are hoping our bad experiences were just a fluke and we are willing to try Laws one more time. I've just discovered this place within the last month and have already stopped by a handful of times. The clam chowder and their Wednesday tacos are great. The staff is extremely friendly. You can tell that the staff treats each other like family. Thomas and jonathan have stood out to me with truly exceptional, above and beyond, customer service. Even the regulars are also extremely friendly. I am an early bird so I only venture out when it's daylight but hope I can find the time to stop by later one day. It sounds like karaoke is a great time there. The owner also makes a point to go around and say hi to everybody and make them feel at home and encourage people to try the karaoke. I would encourage anyone looking for a quality place to have a bite to eat and maybe a beer, to give this place a shot. Plus beers are cheap with an excellent happy hour special. I've been to Law's several times and had some great service but tonight wasn't the case! My daughter and I went in for their Wednesday taco special. It was early and they weren't busy. We seated ourselves at a booth and waited, then waited some more and still waited some more... aproximately 15 minutes...needless to say after the waitress addressed the parties on both sides of us and completely IGNORED us, we decided it was time to leave. I asked to speak to the manager to voice my disappointment. We walked out. Very sad, but hey, we had some great sushi at Asahi nearby. And their service was excellent! read more

It's part restaurant part bar but the bar music overpowers the dining area which is ok I guess. We ordered the hot wings which took about 35-40minutes. Our dinner order took way too long. The waitress kept coming by to say she would check and repeatedly said its coming. Then 1hr 20mins later she comes back and starts explaining there were too many orders coming in and our ticket got lost but they were hustling to get ours done. 15mins later we were just about to give up when finally she came out with our order. I ordered the Rib Eye medium but it came well done, very thin for a rib eye, and not much flavor. My buddy ordered the 16oz prime rib but he said it had no flavor. Im thinking the cook rushed too much because of how long we waited instead of worrying about quality which is ashamed. It could've been the redeeming factor for the amount of time we waited. First, let me preface this by saying our dietary lifestyle doesn't really lend itself to a restaurant like this, so most of the review will be based on the others in our party (with our two cents thrown in). We visited Law's because it was my mother's birthday and she had heard great things about their Steak and Lobster special. So six of us went to check it out. It is one step up from a dive bar. We were seated right away and our waitress took our drink orders. The menu seems to want to mix bar food with steak house food. The prices were closer to a good steakhouse however. They have televisions everywhere (which was great because ND was on) so I would imagine its a good place to catch a game and have a beer. The noise level was pretty loud (not what I would expect at 6PM, more like an 11PM crowd) with lots of screaming and sing alongs taking place; although, it was bearable. Overall, not a "nice" place; but with good food I could see going back. Now to the food. My wife and I ordered variations of their "mexican" dishes. She ordered a taco salad without the meat and cheese and I asked for just a bean burrito with all the veggies no cheese. Hers came out alright the first time; but mine came out first as a bean and cheese, second as a just bean and then finally on the third try it came out correct. The shell on the tostada salad was good and the contents were alright. Overall, if her and my meals were the only food on the table I may have bumped them up to 3 stars. Not great, but decent (although, the beans had a strange flavor to them so we both wonder if they are cooked in a meat base or something). Now on to everyone else's meals. Everyone (including my son who loves dressing) complained about how much dressing was on the salad. My son even asked me if I wanted a bite of his ranch soup. I didn't think they looked horrible and some people might enjoy that much dressing. Entree wise I will start with the most important which was the lobster. Here my mother is excited to enjoy what she was led to believe was a "good lobster" and I have to help her remove it from the shell because it was too tough for her to cut with her steak knife. She starts eating it and I look over and ask her how it is and while trying to be polite at the table she gives a sour look and just shakes her head in a no fashion. My wife's mother and my father both ordered the prime rib and she said it appeared to have more fat than meat and my father only ate about 20% of it because that was all he could chew through. Both complained about its lack of flavor. My son had a skillet steak and he said it was "alright," nothing to brag about but not bad. I did try a small bite of his potatoes and vegetables and both were pretty good. The best way to grade this meal is to see the amount of food left on the plates when everyone was finished. Way more than you would normally find at a good steakhouse or restaurant. People just don't throw away steak (at least I thought). Service wise - our server was very nice and friendly; however, we did have to remind her to bring us our beers a few times. Although, they were busy so I would let her slide because her personality was very sweet. Also, usually on someone's birthday they acknowledge it somehow and I don't think anything was ever even said to my mom. We should have taken her to Asahi Sushi where they give you an entire cake while flashing the lights, dancing and singing. Overall, nobody seemed to enjoy the quality of their meal and with prices close to a normal steakhouse I would expect a lot more. Definitely a place to drink (we even had someone stop and visit with us who obviously had been putting them back for a while - but he was harmless and entertaining). If you are looking for a bar environment with good food, I wouldn't consider this the place. I would prefer a place like The Beach in Jurupa Valley where you can get hammered and enjoy a great steak or burger (yes we used to eat food like that). I would return though with friends to enjoy a few drinks. It seems like it would be a fun place to hang out (just eat before going). read more

Their explanation was "We charge for drinks because we lose money on the tacos." It is common in the industry to require a drink purchase to get the special but IT NEEDS TO BE POSTED SOMEWHERE OR THE WAITER NEEDS TO INFORM . This was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. For starters, the salad was watery. Watery salad doesn't constitute a one star rating, but the strange, foamy meatballs do. I could have lived with the watery salad and watery spaghetti sauce, but not rotten meatballs. After I sent back the rotten meatballs, I tried the fish and chips. The fish was also watery and the batter was oily. The french fries had so much salt on them, they were inedible. I thought some chocolate cake might cheer me up, but the sauce on the cake tasted like what you expect nail polish remover to taste like. Alright. I'm only giving this place one star because of the service. The food not so much, my boyfriend and I were coming from out of town and decided to stop here for some drinks and dinner. First we ordered drinks. I ordered a grape flavored drink that tasted like cough syrup. Then I decided to order my go to Bloody Mary. And it was honestly the worst one I've ever had. No Oliver, no toppings, no nothing. And it was very watered down. So I told the waitress I didn't like it and ordered a midori sour. Which was just as gross , tasted like cough syrup again. At this point we started feeling sick. We ordered the sampler plate and the only good thing on it was the wings. Everything else was just gross. I ordered the steak salad (medium) and it came out burnt and the salad was about the size of a fist. I didn't touch the steak. My boyfriend ordered a chicken sandwich and took a few bites and it was greasy and not good quality. We decided to skip dessert and get the check. They didn't charge us for the Bloody Mary but they did charge us for the other two drinks I didn't touch. I wouldn't suggest going here unless you want to have tummy turmoil afterwards. We went to celebrate my nieces 40th birthday and we were having a great time. Until we paid our tab. There was a big discrepancy on one of our tabs and the female manager said that we ordered the amount that was on the tab. Which was not true at all. She said they "checked the cameras " which I know is a damn lie ! You cannot check the cameras that fast and determine the amount of drinks we have had. So we paid the tab even though it was wrong. When we asked to get a couple more drinks anyway we were cut of by the manager. We never raised our voice and went about our business like civilized people. The management would rather run away from the situation and cut us off and run to the back off the kitchen then to discuss our situation and come to an agreement!. No customer service what so ever.
