Ate here for the first time today and unfortunately I won't be back. The service here is short staffed but the servers work fast and have friendly attitudes. This restaurant does not display Specials clearly. As soon as you walk into the restaurant they have a specials board that says "Wednesday, $1 tacos," and on another specials board they have what type of tacos they have: beef, chicken, fish. My party and I assumed each taco was $1 as thats what it says on their specials board. Once the bill came along I saw that the fish tacos were $3 not $1 and chicken tacos were $1.50. They should post it more clearly what they charge for each taco and that beef tacos are the only ones that are $1. However, the food was not good and too salty for my taste. read more

Let's just say the waitress was great ! The food was at best mediocre. They changed the fries to some frozen shoestring crap that doesn't hold any heat so they came out cold . The clam chowder was second only to some crap you get out of a can . Let's just say at some point a new owner will do this place good. read more

Finally ate here and MAN was that baseball steak good! HOLY crap! You could taste the meat, but it was still seasoned very strongly. I enjoy bold flavors and the steak and mixed vegetables were just that, BOLD! I got it cajun style. When I say flavored strongly, I don't mean over seasoned or over board, I mean you could actually TASTE that it was seasoned food. I do a lot of cooking myself and I usually pick apart what I'm eating. I wasn't even all that hungry and I still kept eating! It was a little expensive for me, but it was certainly worth it. We went to celebrate my nieces 40th birthday and we were having a great time. Until we paid our tab. There was a big discrepancy on one of our tabs and the female manager said that we ordered the amount that was on the tab. Which was not true at all. She said they "checked the cameras " which I know is a damn lie ! You cannot check the cameras that fast and determine the amount of drinks we have had. So we paid the tab even though it was wrong. When we asked to get a couple more drinks anyway we were cut of by the manager. We never raised our voice and went about our business like civilized people. The manager just avoided us and didn't want to discuss the situation like an adult. The management would rather run away from the situation and cut us off and run to the back off the kitchen then to discuss our situation and come to an agreement!. No customer service what so ever. I guess they are about the bottom dollar and not about customer service! P.S. I know they never looked at the cameras and just bull shitted us about everything!! So said Law's! Shame on you! I fell sorry for your other customers you treat just like us!!! Stay away unless you want to get screwed!!! read more

I have been going to Law's for more than 3 years. I love the atmosphere, the service, the people, and the food. :) However, lately the food has become INCREDIBLE!!! :) Turns out they hired a new chef. Everything she makes is amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant. Also, they just came out with a new lunch menu. Soooo many tasty options. I forgot to add, their cocktails are wonderful. Hadn't been to Law's in two years or so. Our little after dance lesson group used to go there all the time when Lori Ann worked there. Tonight we gave it another go after the dance studio and found out it was taco Wednesday. The food was good and the drinks were strong but then at about 9:00 p.m. a DJ fired up his equipment inside at a volume that was impossible to endure. Outside was the usual Karaoke which made the outside rather loud and it was a bit cool to boot. So we just moved to the other side of the place but it was still too loud. We ended up moving outside because it was the lessor of the evils. We never saw our wait person again and never was able to order another drink. We had to go to the bar and ask the bar keep for our bill and she had to hunt down the girl who waited on us. We had asked our bill to be put on separate tickets and when we finally got our bill it was all on one. So, if you want strong drinks, good food, and music so loud as to damage your ears and make it impossible to talk, go to Law's. Next Wednesday we will be going to the Sire or Joe's...no more Law's. read more

This is the last time I will set foot in this place. This bar knows when people from my high school come in , we come to party!!! They had one bartender (who is very rude) and one waitress working today for a surprise party that was booked a month ago..the management at this bar is incredibly naive if they think that these two can handle a regular crowd not alone a bunch of rowdy people who are still partying in their 50's. The waitress was trying to help out the bartender by taking some of the customers drink orders but when she brought the beer ordered by my friend and not my Diet Coke, I knew that the bartender had no idea what good customer service was/is. My intention is to call the owner in the afternoon and let him know how I feel but as far as I'm concerned never patronizing this place again will have to suffice for now!! If you want a bar where not only the wait staff is rude and management will back them up, more power to you!! I for one will never go back and I will be encouraging my fellow classmates as well!! read more

I have tried to always give Laws the benefit of doubt, but seems to just get worse. Tonight was my breaking point.. When your food turns to crap and you start charging for a salad that used to come with your meal I got even more disappointed. My prime rib that I ordered medium rare was like chewing on a piece of jerky. The knife wouldn't even cut it. Mashed potatoes were horrible like the meat juice was stirred into them. Ever since you change your vendor the meat has gone bad. Can't even order a steak and have it come out tasting good let alone being cooked right. I will probably never eat there again let alone bring any friends or family there. I have been coming to Laws for almost eleven years, and the last two have been the worst. What I am most disappointed about is that I asked for you and you didn't even come over to apologize. To many bad changes that used to make Laws great, now it's just plain bad. read more

If I had the option to rate my experience at this establishment any less, I would. The "Express" lunch menu was not express by any normal interpretation. I visited this restaurant during my lunch break with several other co-workers and waited over 45 minutes, after ordering, before informing the waitress to package my food to go. Having no time to eat the food there, I asked for ketchup and steak sauce to be packaged with my food, which was not provided. Paid $3.25 for a strawberry lemonade that had a horrible powder taste. Honestly, a kids lemonade stand would have tasted better and cost less. This being my first experience here I was completely unimpressed. I will NEVER recommend (in fact my goal would be to advise people not to subject themselves to this level of service) for fear of complete embarrassment that someone else would have to suffer my pain. I now have the rest of an 8 hour work day to get through and am unable to digest cold fries or eat an open faced steak sandwich at my desk. The least the staff could have done is made up for the inconvenience by getting our orders right and offering an apology. read more

Food is pretty good. Appetizers and sandwiches are anyway. Drinks are a little on the pricey side. They have two patio areas. One patio is for Karaoke and the KJ, Jimmy, is a lot of fun. They owner is even known to frequent the Karaoke and sing a few (he's good). They have a restaurant area with a live band on the weekends that is usually very good. On the other side they have 2 pool tables, 75 cents a game. Overall the place is a lot of fun with friends. There are televisions all over the place, so you can see the game everywhere. Contrary to one of the other reviews, they have two bathrooms, one on each side of the building. read more

I love this place. I go there for taco nights every wednesday. Right now the best taco to get is there fish taco's they are awesome. The rib platter is really good. Love the ribs. The owner he is so nice and will come over to your table and talk to you and make sure you are happy with the food. I wish I could give a negative one million stars. One of the waitresses tried to shame me in front of customers and her fellow employees. She rudely said and I quote, " I was trying to be nice but there is an eight dollar minimum and you have been in here every night for the last few days." True, I was for karaoke and I purchased a few meals---expensive ones. I asked her if she would like me to call my six friends that were going to join me that evening and call it off if she didn't take back her rude comment in front of the customers. She was obviously on drugs and just laughed it off. They easily lost $300.00 that night. I also found out from several other customers that she doesn't return the correct change---so. count your change. She is a LARGE blonde lacking respect and empathy---hard to miss. Btw, the food is average at best. Shamrocks in Corona has waaaaayyyyyy better food and they don't eff you outta 8 bucks a night. I spoke to the manager a few nights later and she told me to pound sand. Their rule: The employee is always right. All I can say is that waitress and manager are going to get payback from me when the opportunity presents itself. I believe in revenge! read more

First I'm giving a one star because that's what I have to do second we were in there Sunday night at about 5 o'clock our salad came with the core of the salad in it the server laughed and took it off the table never offered to replace it then we asked for no tomatoes which she joked about us not liking tomatoes not know if we are allergic or not but our burger came with tomatoes on it and we had a mushroom Swiss burger had no mushrooms on it we asked for the mushrooms we had a wait for them to cook him by then it was cold and she still never offered to remake my burger even though there is no mushrooms and had tomatoes on it we told her we were upset and not satisfied but she was sure happy to give us our check quick and get it out of there fast and never once got a manager to come over and handle anything we used to go here at least once or twice a week but we will NEVER go back again very disappointed! WOW...what a great place for a nice dinner and some fun entertainment. Thanks to the new owner. With all the changes, this place has livened up. I'm sorry but this place just sucks, I visit this place a few weeks ago and was there most of the afternoon. The waitress's are great and bartenders are nice but, really? The owner has made such a mess of this place. He walks around like he is god and wont help his employees, he will sit and drink and sing but wont lift a finger to help, I also heard him make a few rude comments to customers. If you want a well ran restaurant/bar get off your ass and do something and be quite. I bet he doesn't know how to run a restaurant and has no idea what he is doing. It just blew my mind how poorly ran this place was. The food was ok and the drinks are horrid. I like to order a rum and coke and enjoy it, not feel like I am drinking straight rum. I understand there are people out there that feel they are getting a deal when served that way but that is NOT a real drink and not made the proper way. There is no draft beer. Make a few modifications to your bar and add some taps. The Dj sucked, is this a bar or night club? Someone seems confused. Bands are 100% better. I will advice my friends and family to stare clear of this hole in the wall. Maybe the owner should take a few classes on how to run a Restaurant/Bar properly and how to treat guest and employees in a correct manner. read more

I don't usually print a retraction, however I am compelled to do so this time. 15 days ago I wrote of a very bad experience at this establishment. I not only posted directly to yelp, I also sent a private message to the business. In the 2 weeks since, I have been in regular communication with Michael the owner. He asked that we make a return visit and he wanted to make it up to us. It took about 10 days between his and my schedules but we made it back in last Wednesday 9/28. Michael greeted us personally and treated us with respect and issued what we felt was a heartfelt apology and offered to pay for our meal, which we declined because it was never about the money. From time to time every business have issues and problems and we walked into the perfect storm on our first visit. After 45 years in the business world, it sometime happens. He handled the complaint professionally and responded professionally. He assured us that customer service and satisfaction is his number # 1 priority. Based on our latest visit, Law's will go back on our regular rotation of restaurants to visit. read more
