It was his first time training and he called the experience "electric" and can't wait to come back. It was so good to continue to learn and hone our foundational skills. Paula and Sayaka are both amazing instructors. We were so fortunate to train with both of them together. Paula's precision, patience and expertise instills humility, confidence and appreciation for how to properly safely manage and engage with your firearm. She is a world-class teacher and we felt like we were being grounded with the best possible instruction. Sayaka's enthusiasm, patience, and excitement in teaching the principles were so beneficial. She brought a sense of joy, confidence, and accessibility to her teaching. Each time Sayaka provided personal instruction I was able to apply seamlessly. She always emphasized safety and situational awareness and made the learning process simple to digest and easy to use in real time. She is a terrific instructor for anyone who is looking to learn and improve their firearm skills. We all felt like we had truly taken huge strides in our skills from the beginning to the end of the day. I cannot recommend highly enough the courses and instructors at American Defense Enterprises Thank you again! We look forward to coming back soon.

I later spoke with Paula who was friendly and helpful, she told me she was gathering enough people for a small beginners class for women, I asked if I could bring some friends and she said yes. We signed up and she provided all the information via email. I nor my friends had ever shot guns before so we were a little nervous. We got to the range and met Sayaka, who was badass! She assisted us to get geared up and shared about her expertise. There was about 6 people in our class, so it made it very intimate and they were able to assist us individually if needed! Paula and Sayaka went over various topics of safety. Already it made me feel at ease. Paula is so knowledgeable and quite hilarious she had be cracking up the entire class. Paula and Sayaka made a great team and they explained everything thoroughly. Such cool ladies! I was so inspired by them! We went over the movement of pulling the gun out from the holster over and over and over. But we didn't use the gun just learned the movements so we can get comfortable. Then we moved on to actually holding the gun. It was really helpful, because once we began shooting the adrenaline spiked! I got a lil scared and so did my friend but Paula and Sayaka were extremely patient and helpful. They showed us how to shot, where to shot, and how to reload. They gave me so much confidence that I could be badass like them! I will definitely be back and taking the next course. The three hours flew by! It was a lot of fun! We didn't know we were gonna get to shot in the shoothouse so that was a surprise and such a great time! Paula got some cool pics of us. 10/10 experience and I def recommend to women who have never shot before. It's definitely a necessity to protect ourselves and our loved ones!

Senior lead woman was teaching a new employee. "OK so this man has VET on his CDL and while he looks like Jesus I'll bet right now he is a retired Police Officer. I've enjoyed shooting at Angeles Shooting Ranges over the years, which is why this experience was…read moreso disappointing. The range officer, James, was rude, unprofessional, and used profanity while interacting with customers. There is no excuse for treating paying customers that way. After my target frame broke while I was shooting, James ordered me to retrieve the broken frame. I complied, but afterward I reviewed the posted range rules and could not find any rule stating that customers are responsible for retrieving broken target frames. My issue isn't with following reasonable instructions--it's with being spoken to disrespectfully and being expected to follow what appeared to be an unwritten policy. If retrieving broken target frames is an official requirement, management should clearly post it instead of leaving customers to be confronted over it. After reading other reviews, I noticed multiple customers describing similar experiences with the same range officer. It makes me wonder whether customer feedback is actually taken seriously, because the same complaints seem to have been raised repeatedly. Safety is critical at any shooting range, but professionalism and respect are just as important. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and addresses both the behavior of its staff and the lack of clear communication regarding this policy.

This is a well-run shooting club in Santa Clarita. If you're coming from LA, it's actually just…read morebefore you get into Santa Clarita. There are multiple ranges, depending on what you want to shoot, a restaurant with quality food, a small bar (they do not allow you to shoot after drinking, but the reverse is fine), a gun shop with a very good selection and knowledgeable staff, and several events throughout the year. What really makes this place great is the staff at the ranges. If they see someone doing something unsafe, they call it out and put a stop to it immediately, which is what you want at a gun range. But more than that, they're friendly and more than willing to help you with tips on shooting or with any weapon malfunction--very important for new shooters. Guys like Savage and Jimmy really help make the rifle range an enjoyable experience. As far as the different ranges, there is a long row of shotgun clay/skeet shooting at the front when you pull in. That's also where you find the restaurant and some clean bathrooms. There is also a small shop with clothing, accessories, and some very high-end shotguns. This is where you check in for the shotgun range. To head to the archery range, park there and make a left past the main building and up a hill. I haven't been to the archery range yet, so I can't comment on it. For the rifle range, continue to the left past the ramp for the archery range. It's a bit of a walk, especially if you're carrying a bunch of weapons and ammo. It's paved, and I believe they have golf carts available to help transport you if you're disabled or just need the help. There is a small shop where you check in, with accessories, ammo, and targets available for purchase, as well as various rifles available for rent. At the rifle range, you can shoot most calibers of rifle, shotgun, or handgun (but no hollow points), so it's fun for all. You can set up cardboard target stands or use the steel targets spread throughout the range. I'm not sure how far back it goes--probably about 75-100 yards. I've heard a rumor that if you bring in a watermelon or pumpkin, you can shoot it, but I haven't checked the validity of that yet. The only negative about the rifle range is that the only bathrooms there are porta potty's. For the pistol range and gun shop, when you pull into the parking lot, instead head to the right, where there is an additional smaller parking lot. There are some nicer bathrooms out front. Inside is the pro shop/gun shop, where the guys (I think their names are Frankie and Rick) are very helpful. If you want to try any of the handguns before purchasing, they have them for rent as well. There is a paper range and a steel range. I believe that, aside from handguns, you can also shoot small handgun-caliber rifles there. At the paper range you can shoot hollow points (at least that was allowed last time I was there), but not at the steel range. There are about 10-12 stalls on each range. I don't think either range extends past 75 yards. For the paper range, you can purchase targets at the shop or bring your own to put on cardboard stands. One of the guys there is extremely helpful if you need tips or have any questions. I believe his name is Page-hope I got that right. On the steel side, they have a plethora of steel targets set at different distances. The nice thing about the steel range is that you never have to stop and wait while people change out their targets. There are also an additional two speed plate lanes at the end that are first come, first served. Again, the employees do a good job of keeping an eye on everyone and maintaining a safe environment. Don't forget to bring ear and eye protection. But if you need it, they have both available. I don't think they currently charge you to borrow either. They also have memberships available, with massive discounts on the membership a couple of times a year during events. One tip - if it's your first time, make sure you fill out the waivers online before you go. It will save you time when you get there. There is a main waiver everyone signs, plus additional waivers for each range you plan on using (ie shotgun, rifle, archery, pistol, etc.). I highly recommend Oak Tree to anyone looking to try shooting for the first time, anyone looking to purchase a firearm and try it out first, and experienced shooters looking for a good, safe, convenient place to shoot.

Very pleasant range tucked away in the hills by Valencia/Santa Clarita…read more Good service at the desk, you can and should sign waivers in advance via their website for smooth processing. They have a great selection of rentals if you so happen to need it or want to try stuff out, pricing is available on their website. This visit I enjoyed their steel pistol range, they have an option to shoot paper as well on a separate part of the pistol range. The bays are nice and wide, lots of space to comfortably shoot on the steel range. Reasonable pricing and the location is a nice and quiet woodsy forest vibe. There is parking in front of the club/restaurant/shotgun range (Rifle is to the left), as well as if you hit a right, there was a bit of parking in front of the pistol ranges and gun store. This place is a must try for any hobbyist, recreational or professional shooter.

Daniel was a great instructor who made the class interesting and easy to follow. He gave excellent instruction and we felt safe when we went to the live shooting portion. He gave me a few tips and techniques that definitely helped as I continued to familiarize myself with my new pistols. When it was time to take my CCW course, I returned to Daniel and things went great as well. The class is twice the length, but he was still able to keep it entertaining and engaging. The only thing I'd change is when it comes to the mental health portion. He makes it known that he doesn't like the fact that he has to teach that portion because he's not a mental health expert. He's not a lawyer, but has no issue teaching the legal portions. He's not a health expert but brings someone in to discuss dressing wounds, tourniquets, etc. So it would be nice to have him embrace the importance of the mental health portion of the class. Outside of that, the class is great! If you're looking for a basic pistol course or getting your CCW, I highly recommend Daniel and First Step Shooting.

I had never shot a gun before, and for this to be my introduction, the bar has been set high, my friends. For my friends birthday, my wife arranged a private class for the three of us with Aris, and let me tell you--this man should be teaching a masterclass for future instructors. We walked in with sweaty palms, feeling unsure and nervous, and walked out feeling empowered, knowledgeable, and eager to do it again. His patience, professionalism, and passion for what he does left me in complete awe. The class was clear, informative, and to the point. While there was a lot of information to absorb, Aris knew exactly when to repeat the most critical safety points in a way that never felt overwhelming or monotonous. After the class, we moved to the shooting range, where he guided us through range rules, etiquette, and practical application. Having him there to offer real-time adjustments and tips made all the difference--it truly brought everything full circle. The Target Range--give this man a raise! He brings the passion, knowledge, and respect that the gun industry deserves. If you're a first-time shooter looking for a safe, educational, and confidence-building experience, I highly recommend booking a private class with Aris. We'll definitely be back!
