Was going here for 3 years straight best massages ever. BUT Prices went up fast and high last year. $60-$80 is a huge difference. The 2 stars is because they are demanding I pay a fee for cancellation if I want to make another appointment even though they have no option to cancel or reschedule on website and no one answers the phone. So I tried to cancel my appointment for 3 days straight left messages every time and nothing. Very unfortunate but that is poor communication for a loyal client. read more

I've been coming here for 2 years for massages and it's my go to place. I love that you can almost always get a same day appointment, because when I'm feeling stressed, I don't want to wait 2 days to get an appointment. The problem is your mileage will vary. I recently had the worst massage of my life here. When I got changed and she knocked on my door, she didn't wait for an answer before immediately opening the room. I asked for deep tissue, but after a while I asked for less pressure since I felt like she was rubbing my bone. She told me that she was doing it correct and that I asked for deep tissue so she continued doing the same thing. The entire massage she never asked me if I was comfortable or if the pressure was ok. I asked for no stretching, yet we spent a lot of time stretching which was really uncomfortable for me. We finished 5 minutes early and it still felt like the longest massage in my life. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I left with headaches and shoulder pain. When I was checking out she then told me that the price had increased, which would have been great to know before hand since she was the person checking me in. When I paid and tipped, she gave me a lot of sass for tipping less than what she wanted. I've never had a problem with LAX massage but I guess you really have to be careful about which masseuse you request/ end up with. I legitimately think this woman was not licensed. read more

Lek is an exceptional therapist. In my massage she used a combination of Thai and shiatsu techniques which allow her do strong deep tissue massage very effectively for long periods of time despite her small stature. She also has a great knowledge of anatomy and very good diagnostic skills. The prices are reasonable, especially if you catch a special, and the spa is clean and tidy. I couldn't recommend Lek more highly. June is also really good (my wife went to her). read more

I just came out of a prenatal massage of 90 mins. The massage was ok not that amazing. What made me give them a low review is that the lady who did my massage demanded a 30 dollar tip when I paid 120 for the massage and gave her 15 for tip. She said they require a large tip and 15 is not even 10 percent. I was really shocked by her rudeness and unprofessionalism. 15 dollars is more than 10 percent of 120. I will never come here again. I've been coming to LAX massage for almost 7 years now and there is nowhere in LA that can match the affordable price and incredible masseuses who work here. Lek and Nok are my 2 favorites - both are extremely skilled in deep tissue and thai massages. I always leave feeling refreshed with all my knots fully taken care of. They also create a really calming atmosphere within the massage room with soft music, fresh aromas and and a warm blanket. Nok, specifically, uses hot stones and it's absolutely incredible. AVOID THIS PLACE! TAX FRAUD! RUDE EMPLOYEES! I'm distraught writing this one-star review for LAX Massage. I've been a customer for over 6 months, and have tried 4 different massage therapists. I've loved every one of them (Sarah, Nee, June), and then today I tried Tanya for the first time (because my usual, Sarah, moved back to Thailand). I initially asked for a 60 minute massage, and told the front desk / assistant manager that I would get 90 minutes if Tanya was good. The massage started off very nicely and I politely asked if she would do 90 minutes instead of 60. She said she didn't know if she had enough energy. Then a few minutes later, she said she would do a 90 minute massage only if I paid cash. She explained that if I used a credit card, there would be too much fees taken out of her part of the commission. I got it. I thought I had enough money in my wallet so I agreed. When the massage was done, I went to the front desk and opened my wallet. The massage was $88 and I wanted to leave a total of $130 for my massage because I believed Tanya deserved it. When I realized that I only had $115 cash in my wallet, I told them that I'd leave the $115 cash and my car keys while I ran to the ATM (across the parking lot) to get more cash. The assistant manager insisted that I could pay via credit card, but Tanya gave me a scowling look. When I got back about 3 minutes later with cash, the front desk manager was gone but Tanya was waiting there for me. She started to scold (borderline yell at) me and told me that I should not have said anything about her asking for cash payment. She said that the manager was mad at her for telling me that. I was confused at what was going on because she spoke broken English. I gave Tanya $130 in cash (for my $88 massage + tip). After she took my money she yelled at me saying, "Don't ever come back here for a massage... and if you do, don't ask for Tanya!". I gave her ~50% tip because she worked hard during my massage, yet I got scolded and yelled at because I accidentally disclosed that you wanted cash only in front of the owners? It dawned on me that she was trying to avoid paying credit card fees and not pay taxes on her salary. This is tax fraud in my opinion. Bad on you, Tanya! And, you scold me because you are unethical and breaking the law? And, shame on the owners / managers of LAX Massage for employing someone as unethical and rude as Tanya. I am surprised that you would allow your employees to talk to me / customers like this. Never again. I'm taking my business somewhere and I'm telling the neighborhood (I live about 1 mile from your store) about my experience. There are just too many other quality massage places around. Came here for a massage with a friend. I think the masseuse are more concern in getting sued than providing what I am asking for... I am talking about the massage Pressure. I asked them if they would step on my back, they said they would but, the person who is an expert in doing that is not available. so, NO. The Marina location has outdoor gazebos for covid safety. Great to go when its warm in the afternoon. Im starting to try to record all their names. For sure I love June and Lanna a lot.
