Since it was the first time using HCS, I called the day before to confirm our reservation and pick-up time, and was assured the driver would be on-time. And then they stood us up! Fifteen minutes after our scheduled 6:00 a.m. pick-up time, no HCS car. I called to see where the driver was. The dispatcher was very polite, and assured me of a prompt callback. Ten minutes after that, I started loading our luggage into our car for the drive to the airport. Dispatcher finally called back and told me he couldn't reach the driver, offering the opinion the driver might have overslept. Luckily, it was a low-traffic-problem morning, and we made our flight, even with having to take the time to deal with parking and shuttles. I called back from the road, just to make sure HCS would cancel our scheduled pick-up when we came back. Dispatcher was very apologetic, and offered to comp the pick-up if we chose not to cancel. Kind of pointless, since we would have our own car waiting for us, but it was a nice gesture. Never did find out why they didn't show up as scheduled.

The driver he sent was polite, friendly very helpful and patient, not to mention an extremely careful driver. I used their SUV service - all the amenities including a DVD player and bottled water, and it was very clean. I had requested an hourly rental for between 3 & 4 hours and got a great rate that beat the pants off their competition. My advice is to use these guys! Wilshire Transportation popped up with tons of 5 star reviews which is very rare to find. I quickly gave them a call and spoke with Endalk who answered my questions about the service. They offered a flat rate of $75 for a town car plus a 20% gratuity (if you want an SUV, it's a $90 flat rate). Go to their website to make a reservation. Within 30 minutes, you will receive an e-mail confirming your order. Be sure to fill out the credit card authorization form and fax it in prior to the service. Otherwise, you can also pay using cash if you'd like. My boss was a little late getting to the car on the morning of, and instead of charging double (which is what they normally do), Endalk only charged us $20 as they were going to be out-of-pocket for the additional amount of time the driver was waiting at the property. It can be a tad difficult to get a hold of Endalk at times when he may be driving a customer, but just keep calling and someone is sure to answer. Every time I spoke with him on the phone, he was super helpful and was able to answer all my questions. I highly recommend Wilshire Transportation, their rates are unbeatable and their service is professional and fab!

The car that was supposed to take me to the airport never showed up. There was no one to answer my frantic calls (I was calling around 930pm) and no way to reach any one. Ended up having to call a cab and was almost late for my flight. I emailed them telling them that no one ever showed up OR called me and asked them to cancel my pick up from LAX the next week. I would normally never think to post a private email in public, but this one was so hilariously half-assed that here was their response, word for word: "Sorry driver got pulled over by a police in Hollywood, and could not call you or us. Pls accept our appology and pls mention this for future discount. Thx for understanding?" Yeah, no thanks.

First of all, I should say that I dont think they offer just limos as their name suggests, and the cars they use arent lime green smart cars as their website picture suggests. Patrick's day and it fell on a Saturday this year which, to me, means that you can't not celebrate it....and celebrate the ever loving shit out of it until you're puking green dye out of your anus. Yeah, that hard. So in preparation I bought tickets to a St. Patty's fest (with unlimited alcohol!) that taking place in west hollywood. Being a (fairly) decent human being, I knew id be plastered and would therefore need transportation to and from the event. From my place in downtown LA, there's no metro services to west hollywood and busses are terribly slow and inconvenient, so taxi it was. I shopped around for taxi services and found that it'd be anywhere from $35-$40 to the event ONE WAY. Not including tip. Bummer. I came across organic taxi on a google search. Their rates appeared to be the lowest I had seen. I emailed them and asked for a quote and I got an email back (extremely quickly) and it was $29. I asked for a roundtrip deal and they offered roundtrip for $52. Sold. The taxi got to my place 10 minutes early. I hadn't seen it when it got here because it was an unmarked camry. The only way you'd tell it was a car for hire was the little white license numbers on the bumpers. So like I initially said, dont get hung up on the whole "organic" or "limo" part. The driver was extremely friendly. Because we were near staples center he made small chit chat, asking about what a game was like and ticket prices, etc.. (I don't think he's been here-in this country- long) his amusement at a group of stereotypical harajuku girls walking down melrose confirmed this. The car was comfortable and didn't have any foul odors. There was no meter in the car and the driver used the navigation on his blackberry to get us to our destination. We paid him the full faire and tip as he dropped us off and swore he would come back, which he did. I'm ok with this but if you're hardened and wary of strangers and need a cab that looks like a cab, you might not dig this. The nice part is that I didn't have the driver's number but we wanted to stay in the area longer than our pickup time. So all I did was email the company to request to be picked up later and it was all good. The ride home was fun. I mean, I don't remember a whole lot of it but I do remember flashes of laughter and well, I got home safely and that's all that matters. The driver was so nice I tipped him again. So in the end: if you're ok with using an non traditional taxi, (not hung up on being in an actual taxi cab from a major cab company) don't have trust issues, are comfortable engaging in idle chit chat, are sensitive about, um, ethnic smells This is a pretty good transportation company to try. Ill definitely look into using them again and look into their other services.

My fiance asked you why we couldn't just go straight down LaBrea, instead of turning and cutting down so many streets, especially with the way you flung us around. You just said "trust the driver", instead of even hearing us out. You're a sedan service, not a cab. I said we "might" have a friend pick us up on the return. Then I called to see if we could have another car pick us up, where the car didn't smell like smoke and a less aggressive driver. Then I found out you were the owner, so I simply said "no thanks". I even said you were professional on the phone and others may be happy with your smokey car, fast driving and lower prices. I'm going to write LAX Transport a 5 star review right now.

When I turned on my phone, a text from Citycar was waiting for me. I followed the instructions after I got my bag and before I knew it, Moe was there. His beautiful and comfortable White Lincoln Town Car quickly whisked me away and headed for home. What a great guy! He was warm and friendly and made the trip a pleasure. As he is an Owner/Operator I was REALLY IMPRESSED. He displayed such true customer service that I would never think of using another service. As we pulled up in front of my house, he got my bag and handed me his card...which is front and center on my refrigerator. I can't sing his praises enough. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
