Enjoyed the food here. Restaurant is clean and the service was really nice. It was a peaceful vibe. Kinda made me feel like I was in Brooklyn, NY honestly. Although the area is sketchy, it has a sense of warmth and welcome inside. I took off a star because the place was not crowded at all and our food was not rushed out (Good thing), but once it did come the rice was cold. However, the issue was immediately rectified. I had the chicken plate and my wife had the lamb plate. Very very very delicious. The portion size was nice. She also got the fresh fruit juice (Mango). That was good too. We will go back again. I really loved the atmosphere and the food.

Wow this food is so good. We went on a Saturday for an early lunch around 11am. The chicken and rice plate was amazing. Tender juicy chicken and whatever rub or marinade on it is incredible. The ladies that helped us were fantastic. Honestly the best chicken and rice I have had in the Bay Area. AND I didn't care for the hot sauce at all. It's all about the rice and chicken. Hot sauce has almost a brine type taste to it. Olives would be my guess. Different but not my speed. Didn't matter at all.

Lazeez Kitchen opens where Layalina was with a slight modification of the menu & decor, leaving the infrastructure intact. Ordered at counter, pd, got food in 15ish minutes. Offerings (N. African?, Middle Eastern): wraps & shawarmas, plates, appetizers, drinks.. Bites: lamb Shawarma plate (18.95) -small salad of romaine lettuce, tomato, onions, cucumbers & white dressing crunchy fresh. -small strips of braised boneless lamb shoulder slightly chewy, slightly juicy. Prepped with olive oil, nutmeg, garlic, salt, peppers & other spices, topped with white drizzle probably yogurt. *side of chili sauce probably North African harissa: blend of chili peppers, garlic, olive oil + other spices. Not spicy hot, has sweet, smoky, tangy & non-hot spicyness. **a contrast to Ethiopian berbere sauce which has sharp, hot spiciness. Lotsa yellow coloured flavored long grain rice. Looks like saffron, probably wasn't. Unable to finish. Took rest home for another meal. -though didn't know exact origins. It was certainly different from previous Shawarma eats.

Lamb Shank with Rice was great. The lamb fell clean off the bone. If you have ever had birria with consome, the texture and flavor of the broth is very similar and delicious. Better suited for two folks to share or one person if you enjoy a larger dish. Lamb Shawarma plate, 2nd picture was great. Great service, great food and very well organized. Great for one person. I would definitely have to come back again, and great markets close by !

I really wanted to love this spot--especially with all the glowing reviews--but my experience was a bit underwhelming. I ordered the falafels, which were decent but nothing to write home about. The Toum (garlic paste) was surprisingly flavorless, and the hot sauce, while okay, could've used more depth. The yogurt cucumber side really missed the mark for me--it lacked the tangy, herby punch I was hoping for. The sambosa had potential but again, felt like it needed a flavor boost. And the chicken shawarma wrap? A bit too greasy and missing those bold, traditional Middle Eastern spices that usually make it sing. Maybe I just didn't order the right items--based on all the great reviews, others clearly had a better experience. Might give it another try and hope for a different outcome.

Can I give 10 stars for the lamb shank rice and special foul hummus and falafel plates?! I NEED Lazeez Kitchen! Vibe and Venue: Casual eatery where order is placed at the counter. Overhead menu similar to fast food places. Enticing baklava and pastries were in cases. Staff was friendly. The restaurant was very clean and with the appearance that it was recently renovated. At 6 pm on a Saturday, it was almost empty and quiet but people stopped by for to-go orders. A couple of solo diners enjoying a quiet dinner. Eats: 1. Lamb shank with rice and salad, with sauce on the side 2. Special foul with hummus and falafel served with pita bread. 3. Lamb shawarma 4. Baklava to go We loved our food! The lamb shank was so flavorful and tender. The sauce on the side was so delicious! We also love the hummus and falafel with pita. It came with whole chickpeas which I never had an appetizer like this before. It was a very enjoyable and satisfying dinner! Tab was $69 before tip with 1 soda and lots of food for the next 2-3 meals! Big portions and lots of food!

Good food, competent service, and a clean environment make for a pleasant experience. Ordered the humus plate, falafel wrap, chicken shawarma wrap, and beef shawarma wrap. Portions are generous and the food made fresh. High marks for the humus, falafel and chicken - both seasoned nicely and delicious. Fair marks for the beef which could use some more seasoning. Do give it a try!

This place doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I tried this place out multiple times and enjoyed every last bite. Have tried different Halal spots, but this place has a kick compared to the ones I've been to. If someone can let me know what background this food is, I would greatly appreciate it. The food is bomb, I tried both the wrap and plate for chicken shawarma, and man the spices they use is good. Super chill spot and service is solid af. I recommend this spot to anyone. Definitely my go to spot when I am in the area.

The moment you walk into the shop, you'll notice the current flavor offerings displayed on colorful ice cream-shaped signs across the wall to the right. I could spend an eternity studying each flavor, but there's limited space to queue indoors so really gotta decide on a flavor and serving style fast in order to keep the line moving. Among the flavors were some classics, fruity/floral mixes, and dessert-inspired ones too, a whole range so there's something for everyone. I got the Breakfast Brownie and it was unforgettable! It tasted creamy and delightful without being overwhelming, while the cornflakes mixed inside added a satisfying crunch to each bite. I came back a second time before a show at Crybaby, a smaller venue across the street. Grabbing a scoop here to-go has naturally become part of my pre-concert routine at this point and I plan to come back again next time to explore more flavors. If you're ever heading to a show nearby, I'd definitely recommend stopping by beforehand for a lil energy boost and treat.

Also, whoever they have making their flavors is super creative! They list out all the flavors on the wall on super cute little ice cream scoop cut outs for you to browse while you wait in line. It is definitely more of a takeout ice cream spot with not a ton of seating so you either gotta get lucky with seating, wait for a spot, or take it to go. We got the pandan strawberry and the milk & cookies + cream. Next time I stop by I really want to try out their sundae!

I was surprised that no one spoke of business specifics in their reviews. There is a limit to how many can come in; and you are not allowed to touch anything when inside. There are also no prices listed anywhere. We thought this was odd. Our order: * Personal Peach Cobbler * Walnut Brownie * Banana Pudding For these 3 items, our total was over $25. The service was friendly but a bit awkward. You are only able to see cases of dessert options, it is more of a pick-up point, not so much a bakery location you can browse. I wouldn't suggest coming as a large group, there is no where to sit to enjoy your baked goods and parking is very difficult. While the cobbler and banana pudding were good, I wasn't a fan of the brownie. My partner enjoyed the cobbler a lot, but when we did the calculations, the prices were astronomical. I'm not sure what gourmet difference the items contained, but we likely would not come back to this bakery considering prices and parking. The location is cute, in theory, but with no actual location or displays, or price lists- what you pay for doesn't balance out. The lack of transparency for prices was very sus to us. I'm sure the business will continue on especially with how much they charged. I can't imagine the bakery location and building rent costing a lot as far as operating costs; as it is small, and not expansive at all. The price of the baked goods doesn't even go towards branded packaging. Which could be understandable. The only beverages available that I seen was Nesquik. Steep prices with no justification - especially when you have other bakeries in the area, in addition to Nation's for Pies, very affordable and classic as well. E&J's has a great banana pudding and cobbler as well for $6- they are also a Black-owned business and family operated. Absolutely no bad intent, just wanting to share transparency in my review so Yelpers know that prices are not listed, which means they are subject to fluctuation- in this economy that is not a fair way of doing business. One star per item we liked, for this review. As much signage is visible upon entry regarding rules and limited persons for entry at a time- not one area provided prices; only signs that tell you not to touch. It's required by law for prices at every establishment to be listed, according to SB 478 for general consumer goods and services in California.

I've been lucky enough to try four of their flavors, and each one showcases their signature silky texture and deep flavor. All are not too sweet! My personal favorite is the Kyoto Matcha - the matcha is high-quality, with a vivid green color and rich flavor that balances beautifully with the creamy cheesecake base. The Original is a classic for a reason with deeply caramelized top and creamy interior. I also tried the Iribancha, a roasted green tea flavor. It's intense, smoky, and unique..maybe not one I could finish in one sitting, but definitely memorable and recommend for those who want that earthy/smoky taste. The truffle was also a standout, adding just enough umami to round out the sweetness. Preorders drop via Instagram (@basukucheesecakes) and sell out lightning-fast. I'm known to fight dirty and conspire with others during this game and everybody hates me because of it, and I didn't want to be banned from their apartment, as Paris in the fall is lovely. Thus my journey with Walter began. One thing about me, is I respect a place that knows flavors. I don't want basic vanilla, give me some weird and strange and flavorful that will tantalize my palette and ignite my senses. Give me salty and sweet. Give me TANG. Give me these things and DONT give me gas. Bad Walters cracked the code. All flavor, real dairy, no lactose, no gas. Each week they have a different batch of flavors, so there's always something new to explore. There's like 6 flavors to choose from at once and they let me try them all before I selected my choice hehe. I tried to sample 6 flavors at Cold Stone and they took me out back and shot me, but here, nobody was mean to me. Mr. Potatohead is the flavor I landed on--brown sugar custard with peanut butter swirl and chocolate covered potato chips. The chunks of chocolate covered potato chips were lodged in the ice cream and I felt like an archaeologist excavating ancient rocks as my spoon lifted the potato chocolate chunks out of the creamy custard into my mouth.
