Sticky Rice Gelato!!!? So good! I don't come to Folsom often, but I need to get more of this flavor ASAP. I wanted to come to Cìa di Gelateria since I saw they make their flavors in house. I saw they had flavors in the store that weren't listed on their online ordering system via their website, such as creamy dragonfruit and cinnamon roll. Based off the size you order, there's a maximum amount of flavors you can include. I ended up with a grande size of three flavors, but I quickly realized I clearly preferred one flavor over the others. (With the grande size, you can choose up to four flavors.) Not to say they weren't all good, I just had my preference. Wafer was great too! Service was welcoming and friendly. They have good hygienic practices, as they washed their hands and got new gloves between scooping the gelato and taking payment. Seating is very limited. It's not a large business, so it was slightly crammed inside and a bit of wait to order. If in Folsom craving something sweet, definitely recommend this gelato spot!
Was in the area searching for dessert options and this drew my interest with nearly a 5 star rating! So glad we stopped by to try it because it was delicious! Love that they have so many unique gelato flavors! The staff were super kind and allowed us to sample the various gelato flavors. We decided on the basic flavors of hazelnut, cookies & cream, and chocolate. My favorite was hands down the hazelnut because it reminded me of biting into a Ferrero Rocher. Their gelato was creamy and soft and the flavor was on point. We will definitely be back when in the area!

FOOD i got the mango sorbet and sticky rice. now, hear me out before you judge. it is the BEES KNEES in flavor combos. everyone was raving about it in the yelp reviews and the staff even said it's one of their most popular combos. i'm a big fan of mango sticky rice at thai restaurants so i figured i had nothing to lose. HOLY SMOKES. if you like mango sticky rice, GET. IT. you will sleep at night knowing you've blessed your tastebuds with the unthinkable. (i have since been back 3 separate times to get it ). yes, it's that frickin yummy! SERVICE every time i've been, the staff are very kind and patient! they do a great job explaining how to order, what the flavors are, and giving out samples to try! AMBIANCE it is decorated so cute inside. it reminds me of an italian cafe! very cutesy. PARKING there's a huge parking lot nearby as it's in a strip mall. so you can do some shopping and get yourself a cold treat while you're out! cia di gelateria is a hidden gem that absolutely needs more praise! 10/10 -- and now currently dreaming of my next mango sorbet & sticky rice treat
Super cute and quaint place, great gelato, I recommend the sticky rice, it's absolutely delicious. Affogatos are also a great choice. We really enjoyed our visit, it was so peaceful, background music was relaxing, and the service was good.
This is the BEST Gelato in Folsom! You know that, I know that, you will know that!!! Every time we come to visit we look forward for this place simply the best Gelato in town! Ambiance is adorable and with great service!
I always crave something sweet after a nice dinner and always have room for dessert no matter what. I've driven by this gelato spot so many times since my cat's vet is in the same plaza and finally decided to give it a try! As I was walking up to the gelato spot, I noticed that there was a good amount of people sitting outside and there was also a line inside. My initial thought was that everybody in the neighborhood must come to this gelato spot a lot to satisfy their sweet tooths! Despite the line inside, it went by fairly quick. They had various flavor options and even had popsicles! I opted for the gelato in a Piccolo cup where I was able to choose 2 flavors to go with it. I sampled the Sticky Rice because I was curious about it and learned that there were little pieces of rice in it too! Even though I sampled it and thought it tasted really unique and not bad, I ended up going with the Gianduia (chocolate + hazelnut) and Salted Caramel. I'm a sucker for anything caramel so I couldn't resist and the Gianduia being chocolate + hazelnut reminded me of Nutella. Overall, I can see why there was a good amount of people getting their sweet fix on a Friday night at this gelato spot. The gelato was perfectly sweet and very smooth! Will definitely be back to try more of their flavors and whenever I need a sweet pick me up!
Excellent artisan gelato in a charming gelato shop, Cia di Gelateria is a must-have! The shop offers delicious scoops of gelato and chocolate-dipped gelato bars in a homey setting. It's the perfect treat to enjoy on hot summer days. I breathed in the sweet smells of sugar and cream the moment I stepped into the cool air of the gelateria. The chocolate-dipped gelato bars were on display in the glass case on the left, offering flavors such as stracciatella and Spagnola. Towards the register, the gelato itself was hidden under the gleaming stainless-steel lids of the pozzetti. I got a small piccolo cup of sticky rice and cappuccino gelato. The sticky rice gelato was delicious! Subtly sweet as rice is, the sticky rice had a creamy and gummy texture. The chewiness made the sticky rice gelato very enjoyable. The cappuccino gelato was bold and robust, creamy and aromatic. It was certainly the pick-me-up I was looking for at the shop. The wafer was beautiful, buttery, and crunchy. Cia de Gelateria remained on my mind long after I had finished my gelato and started for home. The shop may be a long way away from home, but it definitely will be one of my stops the next time I'm in the area.
Oh my! What a cute little gelato shop I found in Folsom. The person behind the counter was genuinely happy for us to try a couple of flavors before we bought something. If you want a lovely place to have a chat with your friends and have a sweet treat this is your spot.
I have never tasted gelato before, but having it for the first time made me realize it's pretty good. The service is mediocre and fine. The store has a clean and fresh vibe to it, and it's a good place to visit during the summer. For the value, a tiny cup for two flavors is about $6... Although it's tasty, I'd say it's way too small for $6 and the cup is actually smaller than it looks because the bottom is elevated. It's fine for a treat!
I've gone here a few times over the years and every time I'm impressed. The flavors are so good. There's not really a place like this around. The decor is so cute and sheek. The owner is really friendly and sweet. I've had a few conversations with her and you can tell she put her heart in this place. From the treats to the decor, there's so much detail.

Cia Di Gelateria prides itself in authentic gelato. Not only do they have posters explaining the process on how to make and maintain the gelato, but the staff are very knowledgeable in the process as well! Definitely go in and ask for the staff recommendations and they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The inside of the café looks like a cute French market! Highly recommend and if I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely go back!
Cute little gelato shop! I came here to try the mango sticky rice gelato, and it was great! Perfect for the summer! I just wish the sticky rice had a hint more coconut. I would love to come back to try some of their other flavors!

Wanted something sweet and Cia di Gelateria sounded perfect. We walked in and it wasn't busy. We were warmly greeted and browsing some of the flavors. We noticed the mango and they said the mango paired well with their sticky rice. I had to pause. Sticky rice gelato?? I was definitely sold! So obviously we had to get the mango sorbet and sticky rice. We also got the mango and lemon meringue. Each cup came with a mini cone or a wafer and we picked a cone. The sticky rice and mango sorbet were like heaven. Literally heaven. I'm never in Folsom but I will need to come back for this flavor. The idea of making sticky rice into gelato was genius but then combining with mango was just next level. I will be dreaming of this flavor. We were enjoying it so much I never got to take pictures. That's when I know something is good. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. They were lots of regulars coming in and out. The store is also adorably decorated and clean. There's a good amount of seating inside. Again if we lived near by we would be here all the time! read more
Cia is deliziosa! This charming petite shop has amazing customer service, and is the perfect gelateria. If you haven't been to Italy, these flavors will immediately transport your tastebuds to Italy. If you have been to Italy, this will immediately bring those memories back. The staff is incredibly helpful, super sweet, and really make the shop with their great personalities. Add in the best gelato around, and this is a must try for everyone. They have gelato bars that are dipped in chocolate. There is a limited number, and they definitely run out of flavors. This is a great thing because it's a testament to how delicious they're offering are. I missed out on the rum raisin, which I absolutely will be going back to get. Offer a variety of flavors that can be scooped into a cup or a cone, and they do have toppings, should you decide you want to make a traditional ice cream sundae so to speak. I was able to try several flavors, and quite frankly, they were all so tasty. It was difficult to really decide, and I ended up with the chocolate and cappuccino. Such a great flavor combo! The chocolate was decadent, rich, and the depth of the flavor was perfection. The cappuccino made me feel like I was back in Italy, sitting outside of a café, sipping a cappuccino to start my day. We also ordered a cup with mango and cookies and cream. Yes, it sounds like an odd combo, but somehow it just worked. The mango tastes just like the fruit. It's incredibly refreshing! The cookies and cream is very light and because it is authentically Italian it doesn't have that funky aftertaste that sometimes cookies and cream can. Everything is authentically Italian and authentically amazing! They are located in a shopping center, so there's plenty of free parking. There is seating both indoors and outdoors, Please add this wonderful place to your list of must tries for when you're in the Folsom area. read more

Great spot for some decadent gelato. I got a piccolo (small) cup of gelato, and I was still able to get a Hazelnut/Cookies-and-Cream split with some Kit Kat on top. They have some great flavor variety -- from more common/traditional flavors to authentic Italian flavors -- and the portions are fairly generous for the sizing. Service was great: we got to try a couple of flavors here and there before ultimately selecting. Will definitely be back! read more

Went in at about 5pm and it was empty. The person who helped me out was nice and let me sample a lot of the gelatos. It was very clean inside. Love that the gelatos are not out in the open and are inside closed containers. I ended up getting the hazelnut and sticky rice. The sticky rice is unique and it definitely captures the flavor. The price is affordable compared to other gelato places I have been to. read more
This establishment lifted my spirits from the moment I walked in! It was clean, bright, with a fresh dairy smell in the air. The server was pleasant and friendly. There was a case with ice cream bars with intriguing flavors and covered tubs in another case for cones and sundaes. Part of my experience is looking at the beautiful colors of gelato so it wasn't a feast for my eyes. The flavors were pronounced without being overwhelming. The first spoonful glided across my tongue and was quickly followed by several more until I was staring at an empty cup in disbelief? I didn't even take a picture of my selection. All I can say is that I have a memory that will lead me back again. read more

DELICIOUS!!! Craved a sweet treat while in the Folsom area and decided to visit Cia di Gelateria. Staff were so kind and the gelato tasted better than I had anticipated, took my breath away I had to come back inside to take a pint of gelato home! The shop was clean and had a cute aesthetic. This is a nice cute spot in Folsom that serves delicious gelato! The place is small but cute and the service was excellent. We tried the midnight chocolate, lemon sherbet, as well as one of the bars and loved them all! In your mouth!! read more

It's been hot the past few days and decided to stop in for the first time Cia di Gelateria. And let me just say when you walk in it is so adorable and clean. I usually always get gelato every summer when I'm vacationing in Vegas. This definitely reminded me of that. I had the pistachio and vanilla together. It was delicious. My husband had the peanut butter bar and it was everything you could hope for! The service was great and sweet as well as inviting. read more
They got the pozettis so you know they ain't messing around. Geletarias are few and far between in Sac relative to the amount of ice cream places but it's always good to switch things up and if you're thinking about gelato, you cannot go wrong with Cia di Gelateria. I've gone here a handful of times and each time I'm always impressed by the consistent quality of their gelato as well as the generous portions. Sometimes generous portions can be a sign that they're skimping on the quality, but I don't get that feeling from here. They always knock it out of the park with their flavors like cappuccino, pistaccio, and my personal favorite - sticky rice. Pro tip: combine that with the mango sorbet and consider yourself transported to a Thai restaurant. The interior is always clean and they have nice cushiony benches that are perfect for sitting with family and friends. All in all, I have no complaints about Cia di Gelateria. They have exemplary gelato and portions with a clean and inviting interior and did I mention their medium comes with 3 scoops/flavors for only $6.50? Everyone else better be taking notes. Anyways, if you find yourself looking for dessert in Folsom, it's gotta be Cia di Gelateria. read more
In a nutshell; great place to have some dessert once you've explored folsom or the plaza Not a lot of indoor seating to note but the desserts here taste pretty good. Their gelato bars really compliment a hefty meal that you're trying to top of with some dessert. Parking is easy. There's other establishments around you can explore while having a gelato dessert in hand. Overall neat place to try some gelato. read more

This place was great. Gelato was 5/5. What weirds me out is the masks...3-4 years post COVID. No other restaurant servers have masks, so why are these employees forced to wear them? Not as friendly coming in to employees with giant useless black masks on. Covid is over, the owners need to accept it. If patrons are worried..THEY could wear masks. But why force the employees, who are the face of the business, to wear them? The second you walk in the door, you see employees wearing masks that hide their faces and make it hard to hear... All in all, great spot with tremendously tasty product. read more

I have been in this store for couple times. Always like to try their new flavors. This time i got a gelato cup with - Dubai chocolate has some crunchy noodle (9/10) - Matcha (9.5/10) - Pistachio (7/10) Noticed that they had very unique flavors this time like jackfruit / lavender cheesecake / honey lavender. I had had a sample of Lavender Cheesecake (somehow kind too sweet, not taste cheesecake at all, but lavender scent definitely you will get). Because the others 2 new flavors are just chocolate bar , i have not tried yet. But for sure i will try 'em out next time. Friendly helpful staff with fast service. The store has a lovely Italian decorating style. The best gelato shop in town. They have a good selection of chocolate coated ice cream bar along with fresh gelato bar up to 12 flavors. Add in they also have sticky rice with mango You will not regret for going here - highly recommend this shop. Kids and family seemed to love this gem. As it's so busy the time i came around at 8pm for a Friday night. They have enough indoor and outdoor tables. Nice clean comforting place. No doubt this store becomes a best place for family / gatherings. Tips: The Amaretto and Stracciatella are the best! read more

Visiting Cia di Gelateria is sweet from the moment you step in with a sweet tune upon entering and the lovely black and white decor with marble tables. I ordered the midnight chocolate and cookies and cream. So delicious and the service is outstanding. We will definitely be back for more! read more

The Little Gem of Heaven is exactly that--a true gem! After returning from a vacation in Italy, we were craving authentic gelato, and this place did not disappoint. A friend recommended it, and oh my gosh, from the first bite, it felt like we were right back in Italy. Service was amazing and the ambiance was so cute. Every flavor is absolutely delicious--you really can't go wrong. But the affogato? WOW! It was perfection. Just like sitting in an Italian café at the end of dinner, savoring an affogato al caffè. We drive here from Carmichael just for the affogato! The service is always great. Both times have been fairly steady with customers with only one person working, but each person was calm, friendly, and quick to get us our order. They also play cute music that gives Bridgerton vibes. Definitely recommend. read more

Cute little gem inside of Folsom with a nice atmosphere, and the gelato was great. I really like there serving sizes because a small gets you two flavors and just the right amount of gelato. I believe all the gelato comes with a complimentary wafer, which I thought that was just a nice touch. read more

Found this place after eating dinner near by. Initially came in hoping to get an affogato, but sadly they do not have decaf. So I went for the next best thing--their gelato. Plenty of options to choose from. I was torn on what to pick since they have ice cream bars on a stick or the option to get their gelato. I ordered their chocolate hazelnut gelato. I was shocked on the amount they provide. It was to full! My tummy was definitely happy. Quick service, delicious flavor. We'll definitely be back. read more
