This is a great restaurant located on H Street. Indoors, this place looks great - very clean, modern, and plenty of AC. My friend and I decided to pop in for a visit after hearing great things about their South Asian menu. I ordered the lamb wrap, and my friend I split the chaat since I've never had it before. The chaat was spicy, but very flavorful. I also enjoyed my lamb wrap - I definitely felt full at the end of my meal. The servers were also friendly - they always refilled my water whenever I took bite of the chaat. I would definitely come back to this place and try more of their dishes

Went to Lazizi on a Sunday night at 6pm and it was full but not packed. A friend and I ordered the samosas as an appetizer and they were tasty! We used the green sauce that came with them and it was good and spicy. For my entree I got the lamb curry and it was spicy and so so flavorful. We asked for yogurt and it helped with some of the spice and added flavor too. Another time I came I got the lamb biryani and it was good but I liked the curry better. For drinks we got the mint lemonade and just like other reviews say, it really is some of the best I've had. After the first sip my friend said it's better than an alcoholic drink. Which leads me to say, despite the large selection and interesting wording, the cocktail menu is for mocktails only. This is a halal restaurant so they don't have alcohol. I really enjoyed my visit here. I wish I remember our server's name because he was really sweet and attentive. I will absolutely be back likely to try another lamb dish. Happy to have Lazizi in the neighborhood!

The dish was delicious and nicely presented, with huge portions. The lamb tasted pretty good, although I unexpectedly bit into a piece of bone. Service was a little slow.

Had an amazing service, the food was delicious from the veggie and chicken samosas, the sauces, the lamb chops, chicken biryani and garlic nan bread, Very nice atmosphere and ambience.

Came to Lazizi on a whim and had a great time. It has a nice family run vibe and really affordable options. The salad was healing for the soul, the hummus was decent, and I liked the tabouli. I got a saag vegetable tomato cream dish. It was good and well spiced, only thing was I had requested no spice and still was a bit spicy. My friend got the lamb and chicken meat dish which she absolutely loved. Would definitely return here! Also, try their mint lemonade you won't regret it. Probably the best mint lemonade I've ever had

We visited here for the mocktail menu, and were pleasantly surprised by the decent quality and taste of the food. Service was quick for us despite being walk-ins, and the interior had an interesting hip aesthetic. In a great location for walking around and exploring after lunch.

Such an awesome dining experience. Started with the veggie Samosas - some of the best in DC! Perfectly crispy with a flavorful inside and a delicious choice of sauces. The seasonal vegetable salad was fresh, crisp and teeming with flavor. We washed it all down with a tropical mocktail that was light and fun. Tandoori chicken was a perfect recommendation by our waitress. The chicken was moist, tender and had SO much flavor. The garlic naan was the best side- strong garlic flavor and a perfect texture. The rice pudding was a picture perfect end to a great meal. Service was friendly, attentive and efficient. Environment was lively but intimate and great for chatting. We will definitely be back!

I've been wanting to visit Lazizi for quite some time so when I was invited for a friend's birthday gathering I was excited. We arrived early on a Friday and I was shocked by how beautiful the inside of the restaurant is decorated. The artwork and ambiance is amazing it's like you're transported to another place. We were seated at a long table in the back of the restaurant as we had a party of about 10 people. We ordered a few dishes family style for the table two starters a honey dish, samosa chaat (I believe was the name) and crunchy spinach dish, 2 chicken biryani's which were honestly perfectly seasoned and portioned and absolutely outstanding. The chicken tikka was the perfect spice level and there was another chicken dish with a brown sauce that was a touch more spicy that was equally delicious. We also had two vegetarian dishes and lots of fresh garlic naan bread. Everything was absolutely outstanding, bursting with flavor, fresh and the spice levels were perfect. The service was friendly and the owner came over to say hello to our table and happy birthday to my friend. This is a lovely restaurant and I will definitely be back. I will add this is a spirit free restaurant with a wide variety of drink options including teas.

Server was so sweet. Food wasn't anything to call home about but it was halal and clean.

    Gulab jamun

The ambiance is perfect. The mango lassi, lamb chops, and gulab jamun were excellent. The samosas could have been spicier but they were good, and I'd ask for the lamb to be well done.

Ordered a lamb gyro wrap to go. The wait was less than 10 minutes and gave me a chance to admire the interior of this resturant which was amazing. Definately would be a nice dine in experience. My gyro wrap was quite large and flavorful, and reasonably priced. I also like the 2 side sauces tha came with it. Overall, I was pretty pleased with my experience.

I was the only person eating in the restaurant, and my food was brought to me relatively quickly. I enjoyed the Daal as it had a good flavor of garlic and tomato, the naan was simar to Pita bread, which I wasn't too fond of. The woman who seated and served me was nice. Definitely worth trying once

Great food though the spice level is a bit much. I ordered a medium spicy and it was still incredibly spicy!

With the Air Quality Index at 192 (unhealthy), I decided to try a nearby Just Salad, for a healthy salad. This was my first visit. I could eat a salad every day. The restaurant was bright, clean, and welcoming, with a colorful mural adding to the upbeat atmosphere. I built my own salad with shredded kale, extra-crisp romaine, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, Greek medley (red onion, house-cooked chickpeas, and cucumber), crunchy wonton strips, shaved Parmesan, and honey mustard vinaigrette. For protein, I chose the newly introduced Gochujang chicken coated in flavorful bibigo sauce. Damian prepared my order quickly, and Kiansa's cheerfully checked me out. For just under $13, the portion was generous and a great value. Fresh, crisp, and crunchy in every bite; just the way I like it.

Unfortunately, I ended up waiting almost 45 minutes for my order. When I asked about receiving a refund, I was told I could not receive one because the order was placed online. Just as I was asking for the refund, my order was finally ready at 12:55 PM. I really enjoy the salads at Just Salad, but the service at this location was very disappointing. A 45-minute wait for an online pickup order is unacceptable, especially during a workday lunch break. I hope the location improves its online order process and customer service.

She seemed to act as though our simple questions about what to order and what's popular in the menu was an inconvenience to her, although we indicated it was our first time at the restaurant. We ordered our food with the host/cashier and waited at our table for the food to be delivered. My companion's food was delivered and the server asked us if there was anything else. I said my food hadn't come and she asked me what I ordered. I told her it was the Greek goddess. I had to wait quite a long time for my meal to arrive and when it did, the server placed the plate on the table, grabbed the table number and walked away.No apology for the extended wait, no, "enjoy your meal." It was quite rude. The Greek goddess was pretty bland and my friend's soup was boring. The Falafel pita was ok. We have lots of options for lunch in Washington DC. I will not return to this establishment, ever.

I've managed to eat here twice now, by virtue of 1) having no interest in Au Bon Pain upstairs and 2) not having reasonable alternatives open in the food court. But a boy's gotta eat. After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The cashier lady (presumably the proprietor?) is always amazingly perky. She clearly doesn't recognize me, because -exactly- as she's done before, she calls out, "We have breakfast!" and proceeds to run through a list of various breakfast options as I walk toward the counter. Yep, I know. I've heard it all before. Feeling a little porky lately, I opted for a wrap. A chicken caesar salad one. So, I've had a lot of these in my life. I subsisted off of them for most of a quarter in undergrad, because there wasn't much else to eat in the food halls. Ahhh, the wonders of grade-above-prison-food Sodexho grub... That's why I feel well qualified to explain that for a place that's named Great Wraps! (seriously, there's an exclamation mark at the end of the name on their sign), they're pretty true to form. Tightly wound in a spinach wrap, this little foil-wrapped baby holds together superbly well. Great start. Fresh crispy romaine lettuce - I actually kind of like the crunch with the stemmy parts, so that was a plus. Light on the caesar dressing... enough to keep the whole mess from being too dry, but doesn't feel heavy at all. And an extremely generous serving of tender chicken that hasn't had all of the moisture cooked out of it. The most unexpected part came in the form of big crunchy croutons! I don't think I've seen that in a caesar wrap before! Yum. Admittedly, the wrap alone will run you about seven dollars, and more if you get a drink (water apparently defaults to bottled water). Platters are offered, including fries and a pop. I passed. Ultimately, beggars can't really be choosers, and I'm not about to complain. Filling food, smiling service, good enough for me.
