This is a great restaurant located on H Street. Indoors, this place looks great - very clean, modern, and plenty of AC. My friend and I decided to pop in for a visit after hearing great things about their South Asian menu. I ordered the lamb wrap, and my friend I split the chaat since I've never had it before. The chaat was spicy, but very flavorful. I also enjoyed my lamb wrap - I definitely felt full at the end of my meal. The servers were also friendly - they always refilled my water whenever I took bite of the chaat. I would definitely come back to this place and try more of their dishes

Went to Lazizi on a Sunday night at 6pm and it was full but not packed. A friend and I ordered the samosas as an appetizer and they were tasty! We used the green sauce that came with them and it was good and spicy. For my entree I got the lamb curry and it was spicy and so so flavorful. We asked for yogurt and it helped with some of the spice and added flavor too. Another time I came I got the lamb biryani and it was good but I liked the curry better. For drinks we got the mint lemonade and just like other reviews say, it really is some of the best I've had. After the first sip my friend said it's better than an alcoholic drink. Which leads me to say, despite the large selection and interesting wording, the cocktail menu is for mocktails only. This is a halal restaurant so they don't have alcohol. I really enjoyed my visit here. I wish I remember our server's name because he was really sweet and attentive. I will absolutely be back likely to try another lamb dish. Happy to have Lazizi in the neighborhood!

The dish was delicious and nicely presented, with huge portions. The lamb tasted pretty good, although I unexpectedly bit into a piece of bone. Service was a little slow.

Had an amazing service, the food was delicious from the veggie and chicken samosas, the sauces, the lamb chops, chicken biryani and garlic nan bread, Very nice atmosphere and ambience.

Came to Lazizi on a whim and had a great time. It has a nice family run vibe and really affordable options. The salad was healing for the soul, the hummus was decent, and I liked the tabouli. I got a saag vegetable tomato cream dish. It was good and well spiced, only thing was I had requested no spice and still was a bit spicy. My friend got the lamb and chicken meat dish which she absolutely loved. Would definitely return here! Also, try their mint lemonade you won't regret it. Probably the best mint lemonade I've ever had

We visited here for the mocktail menu, and were pleasantly surprised by the decent quality and taste of the food. Service was quick for us despite being walk-ins, and the interior had an interesting hip aesthetic. In a great location for walking around and exploring after lunch.

Such an awesome dining experience. Started with the veggie Samosas - some of the best in DC! Perfectly crispy with a flavorful inside and a delicious choice of sauces. The seasonal vegetable salad was fresh, crisp and teeming with flavor. We washed it all down with a tropical mocktail that was light and fun. Tandoori chicken was a perfect recommendation by our waitress. The chicken was moist, tender and had SO much flavor. The garlic naan was the best side- strong garlic flavor and a perfect texture. The rice pudding was a picture perfect end to a great meal. Service was friendly, attentive and efficient. Environment was lively but intimate and great for chatting. We will definitely be back!

I've been wanting to visit Lazizi for quite some time so when I was invited for a friend's birthday gathering I was excited. We arrived early on a Friday and I was shocked by how beautiful the inside of the restaurant is decorated. The artwork and ambiance is amazing it's like you're transported to another place. We were seated at a long table in the back of the restaurant as we had a party of about 10 people. We ordered a few dishes family style for the table two starters a honey dish, samosa chaat (I believe was the name) and crunchy spinach dish, 2 chicken biryani's which were honestly perfectly seasoned and portioned and absolutely outstanding. The chicken tikka was the perfect spice level and there was another chicken dish with a brown sauce that was a touch more spicy that was equally delicious. We also had two vegetarian dishes and lots of fresh garlic naan bread. Everything was absolutely outstanding, bursting with flavor, fresh and the spice levels were perfect. The service was friendly and the owner came over to say hello to our table and happy birthday to my friend. This is a lovely restaurant and I will definitely be back. I will add this is a spirit free restaurant with a wide variety of drink options including teas.

Server was so sweet. Food wasn't anything to call home about but it was halal and clean.

    Gulab jamun

The ambiance is perfect. The mango lassi, lamb chops, and gulab jamun were excellent. The samosas could have been spicier but they were good, and I'd ask for the lamb to be well done.

Ordered a lamb gyro wrap to go. The wait was less than 10 minutes and gave me a chance to admire the interior of this resturant which was amazing. Definately would be a nice dine in experience. My gyro wrap was quite large and flavorful, and reasonably priced. I also like the 2 side sauces tha came with it. Overall, I was pretty pleased with my experience.

I was the only person eating in the restaurant, and my food was brought to me relatively quickly. I enjoyed the Daal as it had a good flavor of garlic and tomato, the naan was simar to Pita bread, which I wasn't too fond of. The woman who seated and served me was nice. Definitely worth trying once

I ordered a lamb biryani and was so excited to try it, but it was pretty bland and the meat was dry and not juicy at all. The only way I could eat it was if it was covered in one of the gravies they offer. I tried one of the gravies that my friend ordered and that tasted better for sure. The naan's were also huge and arrived hanging on a wooden board so that was definitely unique and special. The naan was the highlight of my experience here. Overall, I would not recommend the biryani but the lamb gravies seem to be more flavorful with the naan.

The prices were reasonable as well. What a great choice, quite literally the best Indian food we've ever had anywhere, hands down! We had an appetizer; samosa chaat, so good and fresh! We had butter chicken as an entree which had the most amazing, creamy, smooth taste I've ever had, no one does it like that! Also got the tandoori paneer tikki, so good, cheese was smoky and melts in mouth, the cheese and butter naan we got was yummy as well! We got a birthday drink too which was quite refreshing. During the meal the owner stopped to see how the food was, I told him it was the best we've ever had, I told him we we're celebrating my sons birthday, at the end of the meal he surprised him with a cake and turned on happy birthday music playing throughout the speakers in the restaurant ! The food here is extremely authentic and well seasoned I've eaten most of the lamb/goat dishes here and they're all phenomenal! The first time I came I believe my table had the goat curry, lamb curry, pani puri, samosa chaat, and butter chicken. And this time we got the goat sekuwa, lamb karahi, lamb thakali thali, and pani puri (again). I think it speaks volume about a place when the butter chicken (which is still great) is not the standout dish in a desi restaurant. And even then it's one of the most seasoned versions I've ever tasted. The dishes here are all amazing, flaborful, and not spicy (though I'm sure you can always ask about adding or taking away spice to the waiters). The service here is fast, there's never been a long line. And the place is very clean, spacious, and good for all ages. I cannot recommend this place enough, if you're debating whether or not you should come consider that debate over -- you're coming.
