We've made it a tradition to stop here on our way back down when heading home from Duluth. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the kids just love seeing the big bear and the giant Paul Bunyan statue!

We stopped here for breakfast after Grandma's Marathon. The view and atmosphere of the place were perfect. Very down-home local vibe, including the huge statues in the back. We had a window table with a lovely view. I chose French toast which was thick, sweet and with hints of cinnamon. I had a side of bacon which was thicker and tastier than typical store-bought bacon. My biggest complaint was that our food was served cold and took a long time to get to us. Exact opposite of my experience in typical restaurants like this. Usually they get you out as fast as they can. It didn't seem like they were short on help, as many restaurants are these days. I still give it a higher rating for the atmosphere and the prospect the already good food would have been even better served hot.

Only tried the ice cream and this big thing was $9 The ice cream is very flavorful! (I got cotton candy flavored) one of the best ice cream places! The service was wonderful and the staff was very nice and talkative and I loved the vibe of the place! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Lazy Bear is one of my favorite places to stop going to/from "up north." It's a bunch of people's favorite in fact, and we picked peak time to stop: a Sunday afternoon. A couple large groups beat us there so they said there would be a 30 minute wait for a table. We were out practice driving and this was our turn around and lunch stop so we were fine waiting. 40 minutes later I see folks arriving after us being seated so I checked on our name on the list. She thought there were maybe two Sues and someone else got our spot. Sigh. But we were then immediately seated and waited on. This place has a ton of windows with a great view of trees as far as you can see. Lots of seating. A little gift shop. Homemade pies. And ice cream! Lazy Bear makes everything from scratch, including their hand cut fries. Both my grandson and I ordered burgers. Me, a $15 half pound California (even though it wasn't on the current menu) and grandson got the $19 POUND burger. I loved the crispy-but-not-burnt edges of the burger. Grandson thought his burger could have benefited from some type of sauce. But both our plates were clean. And I also bought the last loaf of cranberry wild rice bread to take home. I'm hesitant to keep going on and on about how great this place is because it's already so popular. But now you know.

Freshly brewed coffee, Almond Cranberry Croissant with cranberry coleslaw. Country fried chicken meal.

Couple from the southern state Texas, we were really pleased with this place. Service was great and super fast on a Sunday evening. Not to mention the food was pretty good ESPECIALLY THE TRIPLE BERRY PIE WITH ICE CREAM!!! Their gift shop downstairs is super cute. Will be coming back to visit!

Love this place! The staff has always been awesome and the food is amazing. And any restaurant that serves breakfast all day is top notch in my book! I stop here often for a burger or breakfast on trips to or from Duluth. But mostly, it's the pie that pulls me off the interstate. Although I will admit that the last time I stopped the pie crusts were very thin. I hope that's just a one time thing.

The food is extremely expensive and it seems like a tourist trap more than quality food. - coming from a local.

It was a bit chilly today, but those pickled jalapenos really helped. The seating was nice. It's great it was dog friendly, but I would recommend going on a warmer day, Iif you're bringing your furry friends. We had the bbq burger(added jalapenos) w/onion rings and poutine. I usually end up not liking the poutine at places, but will try it. Here, I actually really liked it, and will definitely get it again. The same for the onion rings, they were crispy and not too greasy. We also got the inhouse made root beer. That was quite good as well.

I can wax poetic about wandering around the building but, that can be for another time. The brewhouse is a cool place to hang after you've become weary of hitting all the shops on Canal street. Nestled in the old brewery you will experience first and foremost some solid beers (take some crowlers home with you), and some decent food. I think we at lunch here three times? I think one kind of gets tricked into eating here. One starts with a couple beers, then an appetizer, and the next thing you know, you're onto an entree without giving it a second thought. Honestly, I don't think I had anything or tasted anything that was bad. My favorites here are: 1. Poutine: fries, cheese curds, bacon and gravy? that is always a winner. 2. Elote Dip is super good. I'd fight somebody for the last scoop of the dip. 3. the Pretzels are good. Love the cheese sauce....I would ask for mustard too, but that is just me. 4. Pimento Cheeseburger is a favorite like the little bit of kick it offers with the Jalapenos, and it was made medium rare for me to boot I did try a bit of the Wild Rice burger. It was OK, non-meat options are not my gig for a burger. the person who ordered this, truly enjoyed it. I also want to mention the their beer is fresh, well-made, and there is usually a taproom only beer available. I have missed it the last few years but, they had a barleywine that was outstanding. I hope that comes back. If you're in Duluth it is totally worth the stop. Eat some food, drink some beers, buy some merch and support this local treasure.

The difference is when I saw at the bar, I had a very prompt interaction with one of the bartenders. I was provided fresh pork rinds to try the bbq sauces with. The horseradish was my favorite. We were swayed to try this place due to other Yelp reviews and are so thankful we did! We started with an appetizer of fries. These were SO good! Perfect combination of crisp and soft and served with tasty sauces to dip in. The main courses were wonderful. I had the chicken burrito bowl which was a flavor explosion of fabulousness! Huge portions with plenty to take home. My husband had the burger and raved about the flavor combination. He would have liked the ability to choose how he wanted it prepared as he prefers more of a medium rather than done burger. My daughter and cousin both got sandwiches and enjoyed them completely. The side items at our table also got raving reviews including the cream corn, the grits, and the fritters. Nothing was sub par! My granddaughter did not like her Mac and cheese as it was made from scratch and not a box and the flavors were a little more adult than she is. :). The only negatives we had were minor. Kids receive a menu with a coloring page but no crayons. Hard to occupy them with just a picture. The second is the inability to have your burger done to your taste. The last was the server was not very attentive. We had to ask for drink refills and she promptly forgot to fill them. Didn't check in enough to see if we were ok. However, the person who brought out the food was super good and helped increase the service rating. Overall, because of the quality of the food we would recommend and return ourselves. They have a wonderful patio for outdoor dining and we would love to try that in the future. Even though we were there during the lunch rush, it was not too loud to hold conversation and it felt very homey! Perfect summer evening venue!
