Lazy Suzy is less lazy and more serene with their calm interior, laidback service, and balanced well-crafted specialty lattes. Even on a Saturday afternoon, Suzy's is packed with people nursing their coffee catching up on weekday work on their laptops. The perk of having tons of outlets can be overridden by campers as my partner and I waited 20 minutes for a table to open up. Thankfully the number of tables at Suzy's seems to combat the camper problem. The baristas are Bushwick laidback chill and skillfully nailed the latte art for the rose cardamom latte and maple latte that my partner and I ordered. The rose cardamom latte is pleasantly fragrant from the rose and cardamom combination and not too sweet. The maple latte is also mildly sweet. To go with our lattes, we got a tahini chocolate chip cookie and a banana muffin which were both very good. I preferred the banana muffin which was more balanced and nutty compared to the chocolate chip cookie which is a little sweeter than I would've liked. I can definitely see myself coming back on a weekday with my laptop to get some work done. It'll give me the chance to try the rest of the specialty matchas and coffees too. read more

In my never ending quest to find an ideal coffee shop to work from, I came across Lazy Suzy, and I'd say it ranks among some of the better places I've parked myself and my laptop at. For one, it's large, and there are plenty of seats with tables along the walls and windows, and a large communal table in the middle. It's pretty popular though, with every seat filled when I first got there. Lucky for me that by the time I ordered, paid, and retrieved my latte a seat had opened up for me. I tried both a cafe latte with rose petals and matcha latte with rose petals, both lightly sweetened. Pretty solid, with standard expensive NYC prices to match. I like the minimal decor, natural light filled space and even the music. Their flavored latte menu is robust, with anything from pistachio lattes to lavender matcha on offer. The wifi was fast enough for the tasks I needed to complete and they offer the rarest of amenities-- outlets! I think that signals a friendly "you can stay as long as you'd like" vibe. Of course proper coffee shop etiquette means buying a drink for every hour-ish that you're there. Would totally recommend. read more

My favorite spot to get coffee!! Lazy Suzy has a wide range of drinks on their menu, unlike a lot of other coffee shops. I usually get a pistachio latte, a rose matcha, or their seasonal mocha, which are always amazing, and can be made with a milk of your choice. I also love that Lazy Suzy is a great place to get some work done. There are plenty of tables or seats at the communal table, as well as outlets to charge any of your devices. On weekdays, the place fills up completely from about 9:45am until noon. Lastly, the baristas here are the sweetest and I love that Lazy Suzy supports local art, businesses, and community. They have a community board to add flyers or info to, they have folks' art out which you can purchase, and they host book clubs and markets at least once a month. read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lazy Suzy Café and couldn't help but appreciate the exceptional restroom experience. The café itself offers a cozy atmosphere, but the real gem is their bathroom setup. After indulging in some boba tea from a nearby shop, I found myself on a quest for a decent bathroom. Luckily, Lazy Suzy Café came to the rescue. First off, the bathroom was spotless and well-maintained. The decor was surprisingly charming for a restroom - think stylish tiles, soft lighting, etc. It felt more like a mini sanctuary than a public bathroom. The bathroom had a marble sink with golden faucets, adding a touch of luxury to the experience. What really stood out, though, was the fact that there were two bathrooms available. This meant I didn't feel any guilt about taking my time and catching up on Reddit. Knowing there was another bathroom for other patrons allowed me to truly relax and enjoy my time. Overall, Lazy Suzy Café has set a new standard for what a restroom experience should be. Clean, comfortable, and guilt-free - this place has it all. I've been on a matcha latte kick lately and wanted to find a good concoction in the hood. Yelp did not disappoint. It was a quick 10-minute walk and I wanted to get there before close at 3pm on a Sunday. I was surprised to see how spacious and airy the cafe was with a huge community table, along with more circular tables lining the inner walls and high seats at the windows. I would definitely come here during the work week or weekend for a few hours to change up the scenery. My rose matcha latte was delicious with the perfect frothiness that I love, add in the cute rose art that the barista fashioned. When I come here early in the morning, I spend a solid hour unproductively just basking in the sunlight that drenches the whole cafe. The space is very open and bright and neutral colors of the interior are super calming. it was apparent that they were mindful for those who work remotely because they even have a printer! i opted for the valentines day special latte which was too adorable with the little heart sprinkles. when it came to taste, i don't know if i can say i was a huge fan (it was very sweetened and may have even had rose syrup or some other floral thing) and i generally stay away from that with my coffee. i anticipate coming back to wfc (work from coffee shop) and try a classic coffee in the near future tho! read more

Ordered the iced LMAO and an iced americano before lunch on DD. -1 the way it was packaged was just terrible. caused so much spillage that our coffees were only 75% full by the time they arrived to my door. i would suggest stickers on the lids so that there's less spillage! i thought the latte was good, but the lavender could've been more prominent. it was definitely more tea-y then coffee-y. Would've appreciated more coffee flavor as well. Didn't think the matcha was prominent either. next time i'll be trying the rose matcha in hopes the floral flavor comes out more. for the price of these coffees, i would want flavors to be present as advertised in drinks. read more

The interior is so well lit and decorated and has such a nice ambiance. I came to grab an afternoon coffee and ordered my usual Iced Almond Milk Latte. While it did taste good, it didn't blow my mind.. but what did was how pricey my drink was at $6+ for a pretty small size. I'm no stranger to paying exorbitant prices for coffee, especially in New York, but it shook me quite a bit that it was that expensive. My friend ordered their LMAO (Lavendar Matcha Oat Milk Latte) and while we thought it was good, the matcha flavor was lacking. It basically just tasted like sweetened oat milk and the lavender syrup made it taste like leftover cereal milk, like fruit loops?? There were also matcha clumps. I would give this spot a 3 based on the taste / price of the drinks but the place is cute and I can't speak for the quality of their other menu offerings so I'll round up to 4~ read more

This is such a great coffee shop! I discovered this place on my quest to get coffee one morning and this spot is in between the block (pay attention for the name when looking for it). First off this is a really large indoor venue for a coffee shop and was quite spacious and covid certified. You can definitely come here with your laptop and work done type of space. The staff is friendly and the barista made our drinks really well. Will definitely stop by. As every block offers a different window into what developers have either managed to do, or what the community has managed to prevent from happening. Working from home I'm always looking for a good coffee shop to tuck into for the day. A quick search had be headed to Lazy Suzy. Located in the pinnacle of what is to come as far as housing goes is this shop Ie you turn a corner and feel like you're in California or made exclusively for Airbnb community. Very Sim like. You know the vibe. The coffee shop itself is a huge open space. Super clean and minimalistic with lots of tables for working at. Sleek like a WeWork. Now maybe to be expected but I was still surprised that they are card only. This neighborhood is full of bartenders, baristas, and other locals where the exchange of cash is simply how it goes. It's not only classist, but a bad business model to not accept cash. Yes I'm aware it makes bookkeeping easier, and the chances of till theft go away, but you are also particularly excluding patrons and for what? What was even more odd is that there was a tip jar out (as there should be!), which means someone, somewhere fully understands that cash is in fact highly desirable. I have no doubts that the coffee and goods are worth it, but shouldn't everyone have access? read more

I got a brown sugar latte and probably the best almond croissant I've ever had. My only minor complaints are that the coffee & pastries are ridiculously overpriced, but something's gotta pay for this giant space right? Also, the barista was not the most friendly, but I've learned to keep my expectations low in Bushwick when it comes to customer service haha. But overall, I'm a fan. Hidden Gem!!!! I don't usually venture out of Lower Manhattan or far from Brooklyn, but my friend recommended me Lazy Suzy cafe and I'm glad she did!! Lazy Suzy just opened in the heart of Bushwick. The coffee shop is pretty close to central ave stop. The location was a bit weird as it's in the middle of the block, and a bit sketchy. However, I definitely noticed modern apartments being built, so I'm sure it'll get better. The space is super aesthetically nice. The place is super big!! There are plenty of tables, workstations and outlets. I'll be surprise if you can't find a place to work out of. The baristas were super friendly and nice. Really modern but cozy coffee shop. I popped in to get some work done and it's honestly a great spot! Parking was easy to find on a weekday and it was full but still have plenty of seating available. I only wish the center, communal table had extension cord/outlets. I had the super tasty almond croissant and the rose matcha latte. Both worth the rave! I hear there's a nice outdoor space and I can't wait to check it out in the summer. I have a feeling this place will become one of my preferred coffee shops. read more

Lazy Suzy is a fairly new cafe in Brooklyn with the most amazing open space concept. Extremely spacious and tons of natural light, unlike most cramped smaller cafes in NYC. If you like clean, minimalistic decor, the aesthetic of this store is enough to make you happy. Good variety of the standard espresso drinks and they also have some more unique items like turmeric lattes. They have non dairy options like oat milk. I think they have almond too but I always get oat anyways. Coffee here tastes great and baristas are very friendly and take pride in making their beverages. TIP-- if you are staying there ask for a glass / mason jar to reduce waste !! They have some vegan pastries- last time I went they had vegan banana bread ! Overall a beautiful cafe with great coffee. Love this spot in Bushwick! Super spacious and great for doing work while social distancing. Staff is both friendly and welcoming. Their specialty drinks are fun and so far I've tried: The LMAO (lavender matcha oat latte) caught my eye and was what I needed to start the day. (note: It's on the sweeter side) The Brown Sugar Latte was delicious and a good blend of espresso and brown sugar. The Rose Matcha was floral and creamy with lil dried flowers sprinkled on top (I got it with Oat milk) They also have vegan pastries to snack on that pair well with their drinks.
