I love this local coffee shop but I have to take off a star because they need to get an ice machine. Twice I was there right at opening and there was a 30 min wait for ice so no cold beverages. I drink cold brew and iced matcha latte 365 days out of the year so that is no bueno. But the pastries are delicious and they warm them up so I will be back and hope that they figure it out. Really cute cafe with a moderate amount of seating and wonderful lighting. I got their egg and cheese sandwich with the added chicken sausage and a chai latte. It came out quickly and the sandwich was really yummy! The cheese is nice and melty and the egg is soft and not overcooked at all. The buns are perfectly toasted and the chicken sausage is a good addition. It's also a little spicy which adds a nice pizazz. The chai latte was also good, nothing super special but still yummy. The baristas are super nice and helpful, the ambiance can be a little loud, but makes really great background noise. While trying to relax with my matcha (at 8am) the music was extremely loud. So loud that I could hear it through my headphones at max volume. I politely asked if they could turn the music down a bit and the owner was extremely defensive and rude. She then encouraged her barista to also be rude to me. Sweet little cafe with wholesome food and quality ingredients... The egg yolks were fully orange! Folks were inside on laptops working and there was a calm and mature vibe inside. Their cortado is so good. Their cold brew is so good. The customer service is on par even when it's busy. It's such a lovely neighborhood spot. It's a great place to work as long as you have headphones/earphones since sometimes it gets kind of loud. Also, it's wonderful for families, friends and couples. I wish I could say I loved this spot. Although the coffee is absolutely top level in terms of flavor, the barista were very rude. I brought my own jar to the coffee shop and was actually charged more to use it. I have never seen this happen before. Great coffee shop! Such a cute vibe upon walking in, low tables and very spacious/open with lots of natural light. Popped in randomly to get some work done and it was perfect (they have outlets and strong wifi!). I ordered an iced latte and it was very good and strong, not too milky thank goodness. I have tried the egg sandwich which was pretty good with intentions of getting it with the sausage but as I mentioned earlier its no longer... Love love this place. Very neighborhood, chill, friendly vibe. Come to work or come to journal or come to talk to strangers. COFFEE IS EXCELLENT. Cant find a flat white? It's here and its 10/10. I also highly recommend the vegan breakfast burrito. They offer free cold water and reusable cups. I appreciate that. My only complaint is the lack of ventilation/ lack of kitchen hood. It gets smoky and the onions on the grill burn your eyes and get your clothes real stinky. I think an investment in a kitchen hood would go a really long way. Regardless of the month, September is the perfect coffee shop to enjoy. It's a quaint spot in Brooklyn with a relaxed vibe. I ordered their chipotle chicken sandwich. It was made to order with fresh ingredients. The chicken was flavorful and tender. The chipotle sauce had the perfect amount of kick. I also enjoyed a Cortada that was so smooth and rich. Super cool coffee shop with an excellent selection of food and pastries. I had an iced latte made to perfection, they use a pretty strong but clean roast here. I also had the almond cake which was excellent and sort of resembled banana bread. It wasn't overwhelming almond and super moist. They seem to be known for their chicken sandwich which might be on the spicy side for some but it had a nice chicken patty spiced with chipotle and other fixings. Love this little spot in my hood. I discovered it LY while walking around the neighborhood on some random holiday in the early summer. A very pregnant woman was working behind the counter and she greeted us and took our order. She was so nice and we later discovered that she was the owner and that they just hand recently opened. After that encounter and delicious experience, this has been our go to spot for yummy grilled cheese sandwiches and iced cold Matcha lattes. The music was so loud and this is confusing that it could be that loud around 1 on a weekday.... Either it's the type of people that come in, or the workers there set the tone.. not too sure. While this place is nice, it is clear that this is a gentrifying establishment that is solely for new gentrifying residents. The prices and menu are inaccessible to the historic residents of the building.
