Review of LazyG's What is another word for excellence? Time's up: LazyG's meatloaf sandwich. To my chagrin, every time I come here now, I have to order it. Before my first visit, it had probably been ten years since I'd had meatloaf. Now this sandwich has changed the rules. It will knock your socks off. The bread is excellent, the flavors are rich and satisfying, and the whole thing tastes like comfort food done right. I'm a longtime local here. My first time at this local brew pub. It was very good too! BUT...see my comments about smoking. Its located in what was a industrial/quieter section of Prescott, 5 min south of the courthouse. Small attached parking lot, but good chance that you will need to find neighborhood on street parking. I was there at prime hour Friday eve. Reservations are probably a good idea. It was just myself and a buddy, so we waited about an hour after we wait-listed our names at the door. Very busy for good reason. They have an outdoor bar and waiting area. Dogs are permitted on leash there, yay, but so is disgusting SMOKING. So be aware of that toxicity. Lots of cigars and cigarettes. Hard to avoid. Their servers are very cool and friendly. Dave took our order, offered advice, and also was able to light the outdoor tower heater next to our table. Brews and ciders were tasty. Chicken wings rock! Friend had a chicken sandwich that was stacked this high !!! Highly recommend this pub. There was not too much table seating available so we chose to sit at the bar. We were happy we did in so many ways. The bar seating is very comfortable with plenty of room. The best part was our bartender, Adam. He was such a blessing in so numerous ways. He was very knowledgable, helpful, courteous to staff and guests and such a pleasure to chat with. He gave us some great suggestions of the Rueben and bread pudding which were both delicious. Adam only works Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. He is a super person and employee. I would say that Lazy G is probably one of the number one breweries with food in Arizona. This is the one of the best Brewers and excellent staff. The owners are always present and looking out for your best experience order the French dip it's amazing for the barbecue bacon. We came for lunch on a Sunday and it was busy at 11:30 and even busier when we left, but our service was spot on and food came out quickly. Despite the full restaurant, it wasn't that loud inside. This place is amazing, we stopped in during happy hour when it was super busy. We were seated at the bar right away, the service was prompt and attentive and got our orders in right away. All the beers we have had here are solid, my favorite beer was their raspberry trailer tart sour beer that I get every time we stop in. Their local roast coffee porter was my next favorite, the flavor was on point and tasted just like my morning coffee. Burgers literally have zero flavor. Did they forget to season it? I rarely spit anything out, but one bite, and into the napkin it went. It was a hugely compacted ground beef patty, gray in color, and I hate to say it, but probably the worst burger either of us ever had. Spicy pickle fries were not spicy at all. Instead, they were very thin, vertically sliced pickles, breaded and deep fried, and they were cut so very thin that you could not even tell it was a pickle. They were incredibly salty. I tasted zero spice. The manager asked how we liked them, and we told him they were incredibly salty, but he did not care. He just said, "oh im sorry you didn't like them". He bragged about how amazing the food was there, as it was our first time, and he bragged about the bread pudding, which, thank God, we did not order. We had high hopes, as we had not eaten all day from traveling, and we were starved, but never again. read more

They have a nice patio with outdoor seating, and when we stopped by for lunch on Saturday they had live music playing. We sat inside at a table, and they have bar seating as well. I got a 4 oz pour because I didn't want a full beer, but still wanted a taste. Why have I never thought to do this before!! It was perfect. My husband got a full glass and we both tried the hazy IPA. It was delicious and just what we wanted! I ordered the bacon blue burger and my husband got the house burger. Both were delicious and the fries were cooked perfectly. It was really nice to start. The food was good, servers were nice. Parking was tough but not impossible. A group of families came. Parents ignored their children and let them scream and run around the entire patio area. I mentioned it to several employees and nothing was done. Several people were really upset. My son-in-law did some research on places to eat in Prescott and said we should try Lazy G. I'm not a beer drinker but my husband is so we had to give it a try. He got a flight and said the beer was outstanding. We ate a late breakfast so we decided to have a light lunch. I ordered the chips and dip appetizer and really enjoyed it. It came with a red and green salsa as well as a beer cheese dip. I loved both of the salsas but wasn't crazy about the cheese. I thought it was a little runny and lacked flavor. I also ordered a side of tater tot's. YUM!! I'm a potato lover and I loved their tots. My husband ordered a bowl of chili. He said one of the best he has ever had. They didn't go crazy with the beans. I was actually dipping my chips into his chili and for me that is saying a lot because I'm extremely picky about my chili. Stopped in for a quick brew, along a longer road trip- Parking lot was fairly crowded & tables had a pretty decent wait-they offered seating outdoor & indoor, & had a side waiting area-ultimately giving off a crowded feeling; the large picnic tables were taken up by 1-2 guests- and they were not seating multiple parties together at a table despite table emptiness- lucky we were able to snag two seats at the bar & were served quickly- Despite their business the waitress was still pleasant about allowing a quick sample before committing to a full pour- The IPAs were average (3-4 untapped stars)- they had a basic hoppy crispness, very average smooth easy drinking than powerful bold flavor- It was very evident they are a mainstream massive Arizona brewery- their large award winning beer posters were hanging everywhere, along with medals- and with that the brewery gave a modern for the masses vibe- Honestly, I prefer a craft brewery with a smaller cozy local feeling- the atmosphere was more "drink & move along" than "settle in and relax"- we didn't even pull our our cards to play & enjoy slowly- Glad we tried them, their beer has its appeal-would recommend as a good to-go beer; But overall, the brewery didn't do much for me- and I read a lot of negative reviews about the food, though I can't speak to the quality- read more

Just got back from dinner. Only waited about 15 minutes for a table, on a Saturday night, at approximately 5:30, while the annual tree lighting and parade was in full swing. There is approximately 12 inside tables, bar seating and a large patio where you can also play corn hole while you wait. There are heaters for the patio which makes it perfect seating most of the year, due to our pretty agreeable weather. There is a fair amount of parking and parking is also allowed on the street. It is an easy walk to historic Whiskey Row, about a 1/2 mile. The place has a nice buzz of activity and noise without being too loud. The staff is nice and the place is clean. The menu is basically sharables, salads, sandwiches and desserts. No hard liquor just wine, beer and ciders. I included pics of the menu. We started off with the Spicy pickle fries. Delicious! They are cut into strips instead of the traditional pickle chips or spears and are served with bleu cheese not ranch for dipping. They don't have much heat so don't let the name put you off. They are crunchy and flavorful. We also shared the humus plate. The hummus is more of a thick paste consistency and not the usual creamy easy to spread consistency. It has a roasted vegetable flavor. The vegetables were fresh, cold and crisp. The prickly pear cider is tart, which I love. I didn't get a strong prickly pear flavor. The Reuben was very good. It has all the flavors and crunch you want in a reuben. The Green Chile burger was our favorite of the evening. It is big, juicy , has a little heat and jammed packed with flavor. The fries our good and you get the perfect amount. The Green Chile Chicken enchilada soup was good. The water is served at room temperature so ask for some ice. The Crème Brûlée cheesecake is worth a repeat performance. It so creamy! I wish I had not agreed to share it with my husband. read more
