Our fast food guilty pleasure, amazing burger !! The potato soup is legendary. Staff is always so nice.

Re-served contaminated food. they handed me a bag that was meant for the car behind me in the drive-thru. I went inside and asked for the correct order. They said I had to go back through the drive-thru, so I finally said I would. As soon as I walked out they handed that next car the bag they gave me. They have no idea what happened to it and were completely out of their vision for over a minute. As soon as an order is served to a customer, it is counted as contaminated. I did write more details to a health inspector, and may talk to the manager about the situatio. read more

Service was excellent! Order taken accurately and food created promptly. Food tasted great, though the Shake was very thick so think Blizzard versus milkshake. The kids hamburger is a slider about two inches in diameter so if you have a kid older than 5 you may have to get more food or you'll just have to get an adult meal. I don't know how often they clean the hallways and walls. The grout was unnaturally black and greasy. The dining area was properly clean. read more

It's a local Nebraska chain I think I love the food here. The only thing I get here is the chicken tender meal with large fries. The don sauce omgggggg chefs kiss it's super good. The Double Don and their $1 margs are so good. Probably not the best for you, but every so often we like to stop here as a treat. I would also recommend their ranch or Don's sauce(?) with your fries instead of ketchup! read more

The Don and Millie's on 56th Street Lincoln, Nebraska has mold growing all over the walls, dishwasher, freezer floor, and underneath the ice maker. There isn't anything blocking the dish area, where all the mold is growing, from where the food is in the kitchen. Meaning that moldy dish water is getting sprayed in the food. Dustin Williams, a manager at the store, drinks the margarita mix on the clock, and other coworkers steal the margarita mix and also drink it on the clock. He's also taking fire ball shooters in his car on his break. Everyone at the store, including all of the managers are smoking weed on the clock, and actively hitting their weed pens in the kitchen. No body cleans anything but the lobby, and bathroom. I've witnessed multiple employees and mangers get in arguments, and employees get kicked off the clock. All in all it's a terrible work place. read more

Give it a pass. There are other good places in the area. I've had too many mistakes in the drive thru. They always try for the up sale when you order. They're pretty inefficient. Most places give you your total when you order. They don't. I ordered a foot long chili dog and got home to a chicken sandwich. read more

I love this place, and there customer service is great. I am normally not one to write a bad review but what happened today is unacceptable. I order a chicken taco salad(#10) and as soon as I opened it up I was already disappointed. There was way too much tomato. I figured that was not a big deal and I would let that go. Then I came to realize I literally only got 3 pieces (strips) of chicken, and to top it off the lettuce was gross! Not only was it gross they almost threw the whole lettuce in the plate. I'm not sure if they have a new cook or what was going on, since this had never happened before. I really love this place but not sure if I will be going back. read more

Hubby & I tried Don & Millie's today. I got the #2 which was a cheese burger, fries & med drink. We went at a busy time, 12:30 on a weekday, but the food came out in less than 10 minutes. I have learned to dislike the typical hamburgers that are pressed squares of jerky. Overcooked & tastless. D&M's are not! A hand pressed beef burger, cook to just right with, mustard, ketsup, dill pickles and fresh chopped onion. And cheese, which was melted on the pattie and soft, fresh, bun...yum. The FF were good, but not amazing, but the onion rings looked wonderful. I liked that the burger was just the right size. I would rather have a modest portion with quality taste, than a massive portion that tastes so-so. American's are fat b/c we get too much food!! Soapbox off. Hubby got the chicken fingers, which were not the best choice. He ate them, but this is not what you should go to D&M's for. He also got a side of potato soup, which had cheese, real bacon, and chopped green onion. It was good! The place was busy, but clean, including the restrooms, and they bused the tables quickly so people can sit & eat right away. This small chain has a drive-in feel to it with the decor and some memorabilia. The menu is American traditional fast food style. Hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. There are other foods on the menu. The food tastes fresh and the restaurant is clean and neat Overall, a great place to grab a bite. My daughter likes the fried grilled cheese. read more

Great place to eat! It's located right next to my doctor's office so when I get through with a doctor appointment I go next door to eat all the greasy, cholesterol-laden food my doctor warns me I already eat too much of. But I can't resist! The ambience and decor make you think of a 50s drive-in and is close to being corny but it's okay. The service is excellent, the prices are pretty reasonable, and the food is delicious! Did I mention the dollar margaritas, lime or strawberry; blended or on the rocks? If you want good old fashioned greasy drive-in hamburgers and fries, this is the place for you. Just don't tell your doctor! read more

It was so so! I got the footlong chili cheese dog. It has a very nice flavor but nothing special. Friends got the deep fried cheese sandwich and stated it was very good. I think this is one of the items they are known for. Onion rings were pretty good. I prefer a lighter batter and not quite as hard and crunchy but they were good. The ranch dressing was good also! Staff was very nice. Place was clean. I would come back here again and try the cheese sandwich next time I am in town on business. Good place to go for some grease and pretty unhealthy eating. I've been to both locations and prefer the one on S. 56th Street because it has more of the late 50's/ early 60's atmosphere. I like their variety food ranging from burgers to hot dogs, salads to baked potatoes. Two people can enjoy meals and beverages for under $20.00. The place is clean, the service is timely and the music from that era tops it off. read more

Surprisingly good old school fast food. The fries remind me of McDonald's fries, but it isn't McDonald's, so that's cool (and good). I got the Double Don or something like that, basically a bacon double cheeseburger. I was really happy, I think it would actually be a contender with Culvers for favorite fast food burger if I was living in Lincoln again. The fried cheese sandwich, is actually called a cheese frenchie. And if you have never had one I recommend you stop what your doing and drive to don and millies and try it out! Its amazing! I've been coming to this don and millies since i was a kid and let me tell you, not much has changed.. great service, helpful staff and awesome food (prices are reasonable too) I recommend obviously, the cheese frenchie, onion rings, taco salad or a burger. read more

A local favorite for classic American fast food (cheeseburgers, fries, shakes). There are healthy options, too! I love their salads. The chicken taco salad comes in a nice-sized taco bowl (other places just give you a tiny taco bowl you can fit in the palm of your hand) and with juicy, warm, grilled chicken strips. So good. Mmmmm. In spring and summer they offer a double berry salad which comes with the same grilled chicken strips, strawberries, dried cranberries, won ton strips, and poppy seed dressing. They also serve margaritas here. Sundays at noon can be crowded with a lot of people coming from church. There are two locations in Lincoln and I think they should build a third somewhere in the city. If I ever leave Lincoln, I would miss this place terribly. read more

This girl who took my order had to finnish her conversation with her co workers before she would turn around and acknowledge me and then I see my order in the window and she did the same thing- finished her convo and then bagged my food up. Good food, good prices, the only problem I had was the last time I was there I informed them that my brand of soda was empty, they said that they would refill the pop machine, but they never did, and I had to finish my meal with another type of pop. I have always loved the food here. Every time it tastes wonderful! We came here tonight to get the 99 cent cheese frenchee deal. (Which is an amazing deal!!) My mom ordered two orders of frenchees with the rest of our meals so we could all have some! She thought the bill seemed high after reviewing it and brought the question to the "General Manager". She told my mother that she did not specify that she wanted the 99 cent ones that are only 2 pieces and she got 4 each order. She told her to bring back the extra pieces to get her refund (which is unsanitary). I'm pretty sure it is against health code to take food back that has been touched by customers (1). (2) Not even McDonalds makes you bring back orders that were messed up or rang in wrong. Even if she was wanting 8 total pieces... That would be much cheaper doing 4 orders at 99 cents than 2 orders at 4.29. You can get 8 for only 3.96. If she is really not courteous enough to explain that or differentiate which order she wanted to place then my mother was not wrong in making the order. She did refund the difference, but only after she took food already touched by us and moved on handling food and money without washing her hands once. We will never be coming back. I was also told by the "manager" that gave me the corporate number not to call because they don't bother getting involved. It's great food, too bad the general manager makes the whole place look back (she was also the one who took the order.) read more
