Efe O the salesman said the color I wanted was super rare and he hadn't seen it before. Meanwhile 3 dealerships in the area had Nordic Forest Green with black interior. He presented the first offer and I asked him to separate out the dealership discounts and my car trade in value and he refused. The sales manager then came over and told me he couldn't go any lower and that the offer I had from another dealership was either a lie or I was mistaken on what I was purchasing. He also called my trade in car junk which is an interesting thing to say to a potential customer. I recommend any other Honda dealership in the area before coming to this one!

The he criticized my "demeanor"after I told him his options weren't even close and I would probably buy my current leased car on line for cash. I walked out after the "demeanor"comment. I guess because I'm a woman I'm supposed to be really nice no matter how much I'm ignored. I'm guessing there would be. nothing wrong with my demeanor if I was a man. My "demeanor" was "not interested" and annoyed because you wasted my time, Jake. Pretty predictable given the circumstances.

Took a few days to mull it over then went back and bought it. I've had it for over two years now and I've taken it back to the service department for state inspections and oil changes. It hasn't needed anything else. They really go through it to to bottom before selling it. And this car is 17 years old. The service department is great. They don't add on extra things wrong like some other service department or try to up their cash flow by recommending things you don't need like a lot of quick oil change places do. This is the honest mechanic I've been looking for. All in all I'm really happy with the Bob Karl experience. When this car eventually dies, I'll definitely be back to buy another. I'd give ten stars if I could. Extremely highly recommended!

So far I've had to have the brake lines, portion of the fuel line, quick disconnect, fuel evac hose and solenoid, transmission pressure sensor replaced and a rebuilt differential installed. I also replaced the passenger side mirror. So now I have a 16 year old car that I've had to put about another $5000 in repairs. Later I found out that Carfax listed the car as a total lose. My bad for not checking sooner. Bob says he doesn't get Carfax because of a bad experience. I once asked him via email if he would have bought the car had he gotten the Carfax. I didn't get a reply. Bottom line, I have a 16 year old car that's cost me about $11,000.

May 2025 my car's check engine light went on. I brought it in and since I had an ODB reader I told them the code. They re-read it anyway and charged me labor. I didn't get the car back for days (they blamed the parts guy). Then when I pick it up, and was about two blocks away from their shop, the check engine light went on again and so did the overheat alarm. I went right back, they were already closed up. So I had to wait a couple more days to get my car back (they're closed on weekends). Turns out they didn't burp it properly. My coolant was low the next time I got an oil change (somewhere else) February 2026. Fast forward... May 2026, the coolant is low again and the check engine light went on. When I dropped the car off I left an explicit note with the code, said to not to read it again (if it would be an extra fee) and that it is leaking coolant please fix that. Did they fix the leak? Nope! They replaced an unrelated part (that may or may not have even been broken how would I know?) and never checked for a leak because they "didn't see anything". Just over two weeks later the car is trailing coolant forcing me to take it somewhere else and pay a premium (over the holiday weekend) to get it repaired. I'll never go here again and you shouldn't either.

He met with the owner and his son- John Aidala and Steven Aidala, the day before, Being the Matriarch of the family, I felt he should be buying from a larger know company. The neighborhood has deteriorated over the last 30 years and to be honest, I was reluctant to even drive there. Talk about a step back in time-the 79 yr old owner was sitting right there in a 1970's desk, personally greeting anyone that came through the door. All the paperwork was really to be reviewed and more than satisfactory. The inspection had been done at the closest dealers. The son advised me he would pick up my Brother at his home, later that day. "They" would complete everything at the DMV and my Brother could drive his new car home that day. John was reminiscing about "our" school days-we all attended Vincentian Institute. It says…read moresomething that I went looking for it months later to make sure our great experience was shared! We just purchased a used car from Quail Auto Sales and could not have had a better buying experience! We had been looking for a car for our son for a long time at numerous dealerships. Although there had been cars at other dealerships that we were interested in enough to purchase, we never found sales staff that made us feel comfortable that the information we were given was reliable. For us the car was important; but equally as important was feeling that we had gotten a fair deal and trusting that what we were buying was without hidden issues. This is why we purchased from John and Steve Aidala. Their dealership is locally owned and has been for many years. The Aidala's have been part of the Albany community and pride themselves in maintaining a superior standard of service and fair business practice. We saw the car online on a rainy Saturday 30 minutes prior to Quail Auto Sales closing for that day. My husband called to make sure that they were still open and that the car was on their lot. Their website said they were not open on Sundays and we knew that this Prius was a great find. John answered the phone and my husband asked if he could make it there 10 minutes before closing, could he still look at the car? John told him that the rain would make it difficult to really look at the car and he would be happy to meet him there the next day to show him the car, even though they aren't open on Sunday. Every single interaction after that was the same good customer service, fair dealings and just an over all good feeling purchasing a car from them. I will return again to buy from Quail Auto and have recommended them to friends and family.
