First time mailing a box to Manila! My friends had moved back home right before Covid19 hit Hawaii. Lucky for them they arrived home safely. I called to get the rates for sea cargo. Pretty good compared to other places. I was told it would take one month to get to my destination. This was in August. When I drove there to buy the box, the parking lot seemed a bit old and ghetto. Social distancing was enforced and I waited in-line outside. The staff lady was nice and helpful. I got my shipment forms, instructions and box. When I returned to mail the box the staff also helped me fill out the address correctly. My friends received the box in good condition and I'm so happy! read more

If only I could rate LBC Waipahu a -1, I would. the customer service is trash. All I can say is the lady on the phone needs to go on a Customer Service training. She lacks professionalism, lacks respect for the individual and lacks service to the customer. My advice to people who are looking to ship their box, go to Atlas Express Padala because unlike LBC, they're professional, friendly, respectful and have a great customer service. read more

This is the 3rd times we sent a door to door box to this company LBC Cargo, and as usual the stress level I dealt just to schedule a pick up is all the way to the ceiling.(on one answer the phones) and it is more stress just to have the box pick up, they never pick up on time as promised. We called Friday (7/16/2021) for pick up and the receptionist scheduled a pick up for Saturday (the next day), but the driver is a "NO SHOW" of course Sunday came and they are close , we waited Monday & Tuesday still a "NO SHOW". So I called on Wednesday morning and the receptionist said that she'll make sure to pick up our boxes today. Driver showed up at 5:30pm, quietly, no common courtesy of apologizing that our boxes was not pick up on time; so I asked why is the pick up took 5 days? and the driver gave me his reason that they have no time and they don't work for the company they're only on commission. until the conversation ended up in a little discussion that is not good. This company is terrible , their Customer Service is down the DRAIN, LBC should have their own company driver so the pick up is not like this and their customer don't have to deal with this frustrations and stress. terrible, terrible, terrible!!!! read more

Worst ever shipping company! Twice already pickup driver never showed up to pick up our box as promised by the customer service in Waipahu. The bad LBC pickup driver didn't even have a courtesy to give as a notice the box will not be pick as scheduled on 10/12/19 (Sat), in spite of we called a couple of times and was reassured it will be picked up. We took off work to accommodate the disastrous pickup which never occurred as promised. LBC deserves four Pinocchios for not picking up the boxes to as promised. Sad company .... LBC can't be trusted in terms of picking up boxes as promised. Nice to know there is Atlas Shipping that seems to be more trust worthy than LBC... read more

Just wanted let everyone know that LBC met up with their service provided. Although they do offer pick up I suggest you just go to their office and deliver it yourself. They offer a $10.00 discount; so instead of the $70.00 we were supposed to pay for, we paid only $60.00 with no weight limit. Shipping took approximately 2 mos as estimated since we sent our box after the cut off dates for boxes to get to its destination for the holidays. Using the tracking was also helpful. When I had questions why it was taking longer than usual, I called the 1-800 number and emailed them. Responses were quick and helpful. Thanks again to LBC for their services. My receivers were grateful they received their packages in good condition. Despite previous negative comments, I would continue using LBC in the future. read more

Don't use this Company terrible services. They scheduled my Moms boxes for pick up on Wednesday morning. My brother called late for work to wait for them. No one came to pick up. So, I called at 12:30 and see what's going on. They said oh their driver went to Kaneohe that's why they were not able to pick up in the morning. The lady who answered said the driver will just pick up his son then will head to Kapolei. Ask what time she said around 2pm. I told her it's already 1:55 you think he can come Kapolei in 5 mins. I ask her maybe 3pm? She said yeah... 5pm came no one showed up not called. So I called their office again... The lady who answered said oh he has to go somewhere that's why he wasn't able to go to us so maybe tomorrow. This lady is not even apologizing for what happened. She said oh we can pick it up tomorrow 9am. I said you guys scheduled us today in the morning and now you're telling tomorrow again. Grrrrr. You give a pick up schedule to your customer then you should at least give a courtesy call to your customers if there is any delays and re-schedule... not wasting customers time waiting for nothing. Been using your service for a while but I guess it's time for me to use other company. read more

We shipped a box to the Phillipines and when my family received the box, items were stolen out of the box. We have never had this problem with other shipping companies. This was the first time using LBC and definitely the last. read more

Should've read reviews before I decided to ship my box with LBC. I took morning off on a Monday because the lady said it'll be picked up in the morning. It's now 2pm and no pick up. I called a bunch of times from 12noon. Took forever before someone from the waipahu branch answered (not exaggerating, I called more than 20 times) it kept on getting forwarded to their main line in the Philippines which tells me they can't help me, they can't keep track of where the driver is and they don't have any information besides my name and address. When someone did answer From the waipahu branch, she was unsure what time the pick up is gonna be. She said she'll call me back once she gets a hold of the driver. No calls.. I've wasted an entire day doing nothing but waiting on them to pick up the box. Not even a notification or a phone call to tell me they are running late and I can go and run errands or go to work. This is the first and last time I'm using this service. I heard ATLAS by seafood city is way way better.. so please, don't use this company.. find a different one.. it'll just give you stress and it'll waste your time. They are even more expensive than ATLAS. I will be moving my business to them next time. This is unacceptable and so unprofessional. read more

I doubt this review will be taken seriously by LBC but I decided to post this anyway and who knows, maybe this will be helpful to someone. I have tried other balikbayan box forwarders on Oahu but one had gone out of business and some others have disappointed so these last couple of years, I went back to LBC Waipahu. Unfortunately, my recent experience with LBC was the worst ever. When I scheduled the pick up for my boxes, I was told that if I wanted to ensure they arrived in Manila before Christmas, I should have them picked up on the first Saturday in October so I called to schedule the pick-up for that day. I even called the day before to verify that I was on their list for pick-up that Saturday and was assured that my two boxes would be picked up the next day, Saturday morning. I packed my boxes and those who send balikbayan boxes know how much love and care go into preparing and packing these boxes, not to mention the patience and tremendous anticipation felt by our families. It was past noon on Saturday and the LBC cargo associate still had not called. So I called LBC and was told their driver had not yet reported for work but we were still scheduled for pick-up that afternoon. But when the LBC van had not arrived by 2:00 p.m., I called LBC again and this was the part when I exploded. The LBC office staff told me their driver had arrived but was hotheaded, left and refused to do pick-ups that afternoon. This angered me and embarrassed me because this was a Filipino business and they clearly did not care for their customers. The LBC lady then suggests that I myself drop off my boxes to their office. I totally lost it after I heard this. I told her this was not possible and how can I even go to another balikbayan box forwarder now when I already paid for the LBC boxes and packed and labeled them. In any case, I told her, if I schedule with another company, my boxes would not arrive before Christmas. I told her LBC committed to picking up my boxes that day and I therefore expected a pick-up before their office closed that afternoon. After about 45 minutes, someone whom I assumed was the LBC Waipahu Supervisor called and just kept giving me one excuse after another -- no driver, how about Monday pick-up instead, blah, blah, blah. I just screamed: "This is unacceptable, I am a returning customer, I don't care about your excuses... if you yourself have to come over and pick up my boxes, I don't care, I expect my boxes to be picked up this afternoon." She said she will see what she can do so we waited some more. Then shortly after 3:00 p.m., I got a call from an LBC driver who said he was coming from downtown Honolulu and will be arriving in about half an hour. Thankfully, the LBC cargo associate came and was professional and efficient. But this whole experience was so nerve-wracking for me, I don't know if I want to give LBC another chance. Worst, most frustrating balikbayan box experience ever. I was going to complete the online survey on the LBC site but decided not to waste my time because it may just be worthless. Sad. read more

I am very displeased with the customer service of Elma. Her tone of voice sounded so unhappy and unprofessional. I have 1:00 Pm pick up time today 03/11/18 and I called to just inquire if the driver will still come to pick up? Instead of apologizing she responded and said That I'm not the only customer that the driver would pick boxes. Just wait.. I told her I did not call to complain but I just want to know if the driver is still showing up today.. I'm very displeased how a big company like LBC would have staff that don't have any kind of etiquette when dealing with customers. As customers are paying for services so we should be treated with respect with professional customer service .. I will try and look for another company that has good customer service. I definitely will tell friends not to use LBC.. I would not trust their dependability and I certainly would recommend going to another place.. read more

Horrible. There's an unofficial line of people sitting down at the bench that jump in front of you as soon as the customer that's at the counter walks away. Even though you are standing there behind the counter waiting for 10 minutes. Mind you there were three people "in line" on the bench. The counter doesn't even say anything. Customer service is sh*t. I have received nothing but outstanding service from LBC staff. I have tried other services and I am quite satisfied with the level of service. The other review gave them a low rating but did not consider that the problem was resolved which means the staff did make an effort to satisfy the customers needs. I will continue to use their services and do recommend using LBC. If you can take your boxes into the office you don't have to wait for pick up. read more
