Third visit to salon I reserved with Summer who is wonderfu! She is the best nail tech ever. I reserved for spa pedicure and manicure. Some dude did my maní while Summer did my pedi. He said "hot mama" several times and I didn't like it. He jacked up my manicure using color that I didn't ask for and my hands still hurt where he filed down my cuticles too low with that spinning tool. He was making Summer nervous, too because she forgot to do the 10 massage that was included in Pedicure selection. The register white girl gave me the deer in headlights look when I mentioned that to her and proceeded to lie saying every time she walked past me Summer was massaging my legs! She deducted $5. My final total $92! Preposterous since my nails look atrocious! I am a Christian wife, Grandmother. Don't call me hot you slimy troll!! read more

Mother's Day weekend I called to schedule an appointment for my wife. I told the idiot teenager and it was a surprise for Mother's Day. Within 10 minutes my wife is calling to thank me after they sent her a text message. Had a schedule for a set time but it is now an hour and 45 minutes later and they have just started her nails. They allowed every walk-in to override the fact that I called three days in advance with an appointment. Quality of work is good. The service is pathetic. My nail appointment felt rushed and the quality of the work was poor. I was the only person of color there, and I noticed that no one else seemed to be rushed the way I was. Because of how quickly and carelessly my nails were done, I decided not to proceed with a pedicure. This staff here is very inexperienced. It took my technician almost an hour and a half for a simple polish change. The polish was so poorly applied and got all over my feet. It is the worst application of nail polish I've ever experienced. read more

went in for solar nails and pedi. pedicure was horrible basically rubbed everything on wiped off no massage no scrubbing feet Nails were ok except they charged nail takeoff but they did not take off they are my nails, filed them down as usual. if they did take off why are they dirty still underneath? Eyebrow wax they left some on and Myles were sticking together then it was all over my newly done nails. was hot impressed just moved here def might try another shop. read more

I will never go back here again. I took the advice of their technician and tried a new powder instead of gel. I asked her if it was easy to get off and she said yes, it was the same as gel, but better for my nails. So when I went back to have it changed, I could tell something was wrong when she started. I'm not sure what the previous technician did wrong, but it was excruciating to remove. I also ended up with a fungus underneath which my doctor said probably came from unsanitary tools. Now I had to have my nails completely cut off and I can't wear polish for a while until my nails have time to heal and regrow. Worst experience ever!! read more

Asked for a pedicure, awful experience. My toe nails where only clipped a few times, as my other ones where not clipped at all. No scrubbing on me feet, no lotion and massage. The owners where only interested in a little boy who got his fingers smashed from one the the chairs. I paid $60 for both feet and fingernails, and got the worse ever customer service. read more

I showed up today to get my nails done at Ld nails in jefferson with my sister. As soon as i arrived i told the lady i had to get out of there in a hour and she said it was completely doable. My sister was seated and while i waited for 20 minutes before I was seated. I then told the lady i had to be out of there in forty minutes. Told her i had to take my sister to practice at 4:00 and couldn't leave any later than 3:30. she told me that was fine but she couldn't remove my tip she would have to paint over them. she then painted on five layers of hot pink polish over my black nails. Then after five coats of polish you could still see my black nails and she proceeded to put silver glitter on my nail after i did not request it. There was no gimme to fix the mistakes because it was already 4:00 at this time. I went to check out and saw she charges me 42 dollars for these nails. I am very disappointed in this salon and will not be returning read more

I made an appointment with Jay for 11 on 2days in advance. called at 10:20 to see if I could come early they said he was seated. I arrived at 11 he was working on someone. finally at 11:30 he still was t finished. I had to leave because I had an appointment at 12:45 that I wouldn't be able to make. he wasn't even at the painting part so it would have been at least another 15 minutes. As I was about to open the door at 9:56 (4 minutes before my appt.), one of the technicians turned around & locked the door, waving her hand & saying they were not open until 10:00. I knocked & repeated that my appt. was at 10. They shook their heads "no" & walked away. My technician looked right at my face & still would not let me in. I left & called the salon. A man (I'm assuming the owner) told me again that they do not open until 10 - that they were not ready yet. He continued on with excuses & no apology. I told him this was not good customer service & that I was tempted to write a poor review. He said "do whatever you gotta do lady". This isn't the 1st time I have watched them be rude or impatient with customers. I took note - but, it had never happened to me.....until yesterday. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I have tried this salon twice for acrylic and solar with fill ins in the past few years. Be ready to pay more and have then go up on your prices every time you return. 1st go round 25$ full set first fill in 15 second fill in 25??? Got annoyed and quit for a while. Then pressure to go with gel polish "lasts longer. This is true. Excellent work in the beginning. Then you get more rushed jobs less desirable results going forward. 2nd go round this spring. Talked into pink powder gel for 35 full set, okay did that,looked marvelous. In two weeks return for a simple fill Tech- "That will be $35", Me - "hmm well that's steep for a fill so give me an acrylic fill" okay. And I'm suddenly getting a shoddy rush job, topped off with old polish that never dried!for 23$! After sitting in the salon for 35 min under the dryer then babying them another 45 minutes got a wicked dent so I go back to let them know and they refuse to give me a credit Teeny insisting that I sit down for a "fix" and loose another hour of my day ?? I think not. I won't go back. I don't mind paying a little more for quality work but seriously! Will to try and post a photo of the Shoddy work I was given. Annoyed! read more

I keep trying to give this place another chance because it is so close to my house. Every single time I am just so disappointed. The different techs will charge something different every time. One time I came and the guy said that he had to charge me extra to do my nails a little longer because it uses more product even though they just cut off the extra length and throw it away. They get a little busy and they will rush through to try and get to the next person. They don't take their time. My nails end up crooked and uneven. When I tried to point this out, they told me that my fingers are crooked. They are always super slow. This last time the woman was doing my pedicure and just literally let my feet soak in the water and filed my toe nails and then started painting. When I asked about the other stuff she that would be extra. I think that I finally give up with this place. read more

It has a nice selection of colors and is very well organized. My technician was not friendly at all. She actually rolled her eyes when I bumped my toe and needed a touch up and then scolded me to be careful. (I only smudged because she put my shoes in front of the drying fan and I had to lift my feet to get to it). There was no sanitizing plastic over the foot soak tub, no hot towel wrap and the leg massage was minimal. She was also more interested in America's Got Talent on the TV than in looking at her work. My daughter's tech cut her cuticle so hard that it bled. When the bleeding wouldn't stop, she put nail glue on it. We only came here because we were escaping Hurricane Florence so we don't plan on coming back. This is just a warning for local residents. read more

Very expensive for a mediocre manicure and pedicure. I asked for the regular pedicure then got my nails painted, not a full manicure, with gel polish and that alone was $50..... when I was getting my fingernails done, my lady left them a little longer than I prefer, so I requested that she make them shorter, and she rolled her eyes at me. She only trimmed one nail so I had to ask again, and again she rolled her eyes at me. This happened multiple times until my nails were finally rounded and trimmed correctly and evenly. After my pedicure, I stayed in the same sandals all day so I wouldn't mess up my toes. My pedicure was finished at noon and I didn't change shoes until 4:30. When I took off my shoes that night, 2 of my nails were ruined. The paint had completely rubbed off. I spent $50 just to have ruined toenails. I'm really upset I spent that much money on rude customer service, and nails that were ruined before the day was even over. I will not be going back again. read more
