Cannot recommend LD's enough. Great service, awesome rotating beer selection, patio & great view of the Salmon River.....really love this place. I make an annual trip From Chicago to Sandy Creek and I have to convince my friend that spending time with him was the goal of the trip. When in actuality the wings at LD's is my real destination! Cannot wait for them to open up an LD's in Chicago! We will be stopping by on our way back west to grab a few dozen to take with us. Love what you guys have done with that new location. Usually LD's is fine. Reasonable service . Food is as expected. Would give it three to four stars normally. Good beer typical bar food. The service has really deteriorated. Today it took forever for anyone to take our order. We witnessed several folks leave before their order was taken. Saw one table say "worst service of all time" as they were leaving. The folks behind us said they waited 30min for anyone to take their order. Not sure what is going on. Food took a long time. Fries were cold. We spotted their outdoor seating and stopped for lunch. We sat in the courtyard which had more shade. We were pleasantly surprised by the range of items on the menu. One of us had the Chicken Caesar salad and the other had the Turkey Rachel with a side salad. First, the SIDE salad was a small garden salad! Wow. More than I expected and delicious. What caught my eye about the Turkey Rachel is that it sounded similar to a Reuben - cole slaw, Turkey, cheese, and thousand island dressing. The flavor combination was perfect! And quite filling. The Chicken Caesar Salad was also very good and quite filling. Overall we really enjoyed eating here and would do so again. Great service. Food here is very good. Burgers are the specialty, but be prepared as they are build too tall to eat without difficulty. And, they are served on paper in plastic baskets so a fork and knife results in an even bigger mess. Regardless, service is good. Wings are also very good. We return here periodically. View of the river from their back desk is nice when the weather is cooperative enough to allow eating out there. read more

Absolutely terrible service. It took over an hour and 1/2 to get a few orders of which 3 came out wrong. No silverware provided until we asked 2 other servers and when I went in to go to the restroom our server was sitting at the bar. Very frustrating and will not be back. read more

We googled a place with food and drinks and stumbled upon this place. We are not from the area. Wow! We hoped to be seated on the deck overlooking the water but it was full so we sat on the courtyard part. Really cute atmosphere with low background music. The beers were ice cold and the food was bomb! No seriously! We joked that we must be in flavor town usa! Hahahhahaha no but ill be serious. We had the chipotle chicken quesadillas, boneless bbq wings and the jumbo pretzel for apps. Seriously bomb. For the entrees we had 2 chicken spiedie sandwiches and a buffalo chicken wrap. Everything was amazing. The server was accurate, efficient and friendly. I loved the tablet or whatever it was that the servers walked around and took payments on. Seems very easy for the staff which makes them more attentive to the tables. Im a server myself and I was blown away by this place as were my 2 friends. We will def be coming back!!! Went for dinner on a Thursday evening during prime salmon fishing season. Got right in and sat at a nice table on the porch overlooking the river. Service was quick, efficient, and friendly. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer and they were steaming hot and crispy. Our beers came right away, nice and cold. We ordered two burgers and a Charlton sandwich and each was delicious and ordered exactly how we wanted. The atmosphere overall was excellent. Been coming up to the river for 20 years, and this was the first time we have tried here...can say for sure it won't be the last. read more

Got our food before the table that was here before us and they still got it wrong. And they gave drinks on the house to the third late table, who had more than enough and had kids with them. Great atmosphere and location. Our server was very attentive and quick with the drinks, but the food took an hour. Husband said his Cowboy burger was good but I ordered the steak salad and it had no onions, no croutons and no crispy onion straws, but instead a greasy onion ring. And was made with shaved steak, not "chunks of strip steak" as described in the menu. Will probably try again given the challenges restaurants are facing. read more

We used this as our gathering spot to start a bachelor fishing weekend. There is a nice outdoor deck overlooking the Salmon River that was fairly busy when we arrived (we ended up nearly closing it out). The waitress and manager were engaging (if not a bit colorful at times) and attentive, though the pace was a bit leisurely. All of the alcohol is NY sourced (so don't expect to find many national names) but there were definitely good and varied options. The Cooperstown whiskey was incredibly smooth (still trying to figure out which one so we can find a bottle somewhere). The food wasn't anything spectacular (maybe a bit under seasoned, especially the fries) but it fit the bill. The only big disappointment is the Beef on Weck didn't come on a kimmelweck bun (maybe it was a supply issue?). Overall, it was a good visit and better than the average rating suggested. read more

My spouse chicken was burnt and fries also cold. They did offer to put down fresh fries, but how long would that have taken. I was there Saturday, October 2 in a group of four. We ordered three cheeseburgers and a wrap. Came in last Saturday, ordered a couple burgers with a friend, sat there for two hours waiting for our food to come out, after about an hour and a half we started getting impatient and asking what was going on, just trying to get something quick and get back to fishing when I asked the guy manager to just cancel our food he proceeded to crumple up the receipt and throw it in my face...... I've never seen such disrespect in my entire life. Something like that needs to be put on blast and I hope the owner finds out how his manager treats customers, we were so patient for so long but after two hours finally cancelling our orders and then to top it off a receipt crumpled up and thrown in my face with multiple witnesses. The food was terrible! Burgers were burnt on the outside and still frozen on the inside! Buns were toasted but cold. Appetizers were burnt, nachos were cold and they didn't even melt the cheese! When the waitress was made aware (the two times that she checked on us) she didn't give us the opportunity to cancel the order, she just had them remake the food and it still wasn't cooked properly. Also has 2 saranac beers. We got our food and mine had blue cheese & celery. Did not say anything, just set it aside thinking the kitchen made a mistake. Wings were good except mine had a lot of sauce. Had asked before ordering if they came with a lot a sauce & was told no. We got our bill & I saw we were charged for the blue cheese I did not order or eat. One other time we went to LDs and a similar thing happened with blue cheese & celery. Not sure why they charge extra for it and why they don't just build it into the wing price. They get $15.00 for ten. At least I would not get charged when I didn't order it. Hand cut fries are soggy too. Before we left, I let the server know about the blue cheese & celery. She said she would take off the bill. There are other places in Pulaski to get good wings at better prices. They also don't give you blue cheese & celery if you don't order it & if they did it doesn't cost extra. Prices were reasonable, 6.00-6.50 for our beers, and around 10.00 for our sandwiches with fries. Loved the atmosphere with the exposed brick and pipes. Had dinner and lunch here while up in Pulaski salmon fishing. They only have NY beers which for me was totally okay. The beer selection was great. On my first visit I had their Beef on Weck, absolutely delicious. My second visit I had the philly which was also very good, not as good as the beef on weck but not disappointing. I never leave reviews, however this was by far the worst dining experience I've had in a while. Came in for lunch at 2:00 pm on a Sunday with a group of 8. Seated with no menus, waited a few minutes to even see a waitress. Immediately ordered appetizers which came out about 45 minutes later. Food came out at at 3:45pm. Ordered a simple burger which was ice cold and well done even though I ordered a medium. Everyone had issues with their meals. Garbage restaurant. Extremely disappointed. The Dead Stink bug sitting on the windowsill next to our table enjoyed the meal as much as we did. Stay far far away. read more
