Our tour group had Lynn Nelson as a driver for our bus rental and he was top notch! Very friendly and courteous. Always at the door to assist my guests on and off the bus! Easy to communicate and coordinate times for breaks, departures and arrivals at destinations! He was an excellent driver and we felt very safe when we had to use a less major road to get from Yellowstone to the Tetons when the mountain pass was snowed in. And his driving ability was on display when he drove us to the top of Utah Olympic Park to view the slopes and bobsled runs, and then turn on a dime to get us back down--now that is some skillful driving!! The woman driver appeared to drive using both feet with constant start/stop jerking motion while swerving and then over compensating to correct. Le Bus used a big BAIT AND SWITCH tactic. Be warned! We chartered Le Bus for our trip to Utah and upon arrival we were required to rent a room for the driver. This was after signing a contract and confirming that the driver DID NOT NEED a room because the driver was local to Salt Lake City. We later found out that the driver worked per diem and he never stayed in the room that we rented him. He confirmed that he parked the bus in the Le Bus lot and went home to his wife. This cost us extra money- which is difficult as we are a nonprofit. read more

We recently did a tour of the National Parks starting in Salt Lake City. It was a 1st time for us and we had a great experience. Our bus driver, Nathan Black helped to make this experience unforgettable. His driving skill were excellent, his knowledge of all the places we visited was incredible. I have to say I've never gone on a bus trip and was hesitant, but his kindness, helpfulness to all the passengers was just amazing. I arrive. I sit. On the last pickup I was asked to move from my window seat which is necessary for my back to be able to lean into something. Because I am a single passenger. I agreed politely so a couple could sit together. Unfortunately the only other seat was an isle and an announcement was made to keep the same seat on the way back. Miserable back pain. We were told we MUST board bus where we unboarded which was not even where I was told we would go on the website. There's much much more. But why bother. I won't be doing this again. UtahTrailways is the competition bus with $20 ticket but one guy on the bus told me Le Bus gives you better buffet at Oceano Buffet at Montego Bay. So to sum up the stuff I got for free: $25 Sat buffet $7 slot ticket $5 table match $4 drink ticket It cost me $24 total and saved me gas and driving. read more

I had no expectations going in so I was hoping to write a better review. I reserved a spot at the ogden location (which is one of the first spots) me and my group were exited for a fun drive at this point, until they made us board another bus. At this time they promised that we would get first pick seats. However once we boarded seating was already filled. Bc of limited seating our group had to split up. This made for a very poor drive. (Who cuts their nails on a bus) Promising something and not following through, that is just poor business. I would not recommend this bus for group activities, as you are better off driving yourself. read more

This is absolutely unacceptable. We are on a full bus and the air conditioner is not working. Multiple people have called the company and their response is "the air conditioner is working, we can wait for 45 min and if it still isn't working we can call a mechanic" So we are expected to sit in a hot ass bus in 98 degree weather, hope it cools down and if not wait in the middle of the fucking desert for a mechanic to drive out. You are offering a service of getting people to and from Wendover safely but you want your patrons to risk a heat stroke?!?! They literally gave us a fly swatter to "cool" ourselves down. The $25 ticket to Wendover ended up costing OVER $400!!!! THE FUN BUS IS NOT FUN AT ALL!!! My friends and I had a HORRIBLE experience with Le Bus. When I made the reservation online it only showed as processing (despite the fact that I showed them that the charge was pending on my credit card). They wouldn't sell me a ticket at the I-Hop in Bountiful. They said I had to purchase another ticket at Sutherlands but they WOULDN'T LET ME GET ON THE BUS to get there. My friend and I had to hop in her car and rush to Sutherlands so we could hurry and buy a ticket before the bus from I-Hop arrived. When we got back to Sutherlands at 4 am, her car was gone!!!! THEY TOWED HER CAR!!! The bus driver never gave us a parking pass, he didn't even tell us we needed one! It was $391.69 to get the car back- on top of the $50 we paid for our tickets. If you want to have a good time and avoid getting completely ripped off, DON'T RIDE ON LE BUS!!! Drive out to Wendover yourselves and spend your money having fun at the Casino! read more

I do not recommend Le Bus! Their hostess Maria, is rude, tactless, lack common sense and common decency. Hostesses are supposed to make the trip out to Wendover fun and enjoyable, Maria made the trip unbearable. The bus was over 30 minutes late, to begin with, the people waiting to be picked up were irritable. Upon boarding the bus, we noticed that not only did the inside of the bus had an odd, unpleasant smell, but the airconditioning also wasn't working. We were told that we had to switch buses at the next pick up stop. We waited about 20 minutes for the replacement bus to pick us up. While waiting for the other bus, Maria did nothing but gossip with the bus driver and complain to other costumers about her personal life. That's not something anyone should do when they're working with the public. Her personal life is not our concern and should not be said within earshot. Especially if it's told in front of a lot full of cranky, irritable passengers that have been waiting patiently to get on the bus. I offered, while waiting, to buy our bus driver something to eat at Taco Bell. When I returned with something for the bus driver, Maria said out loud, "Well now! At least YOU got something to eat! Hmph!" She acted all entitled like we were supposed to get her something too. What kind of hostess behaves like that?? Maria decided to pick on my daughter because of a simple mistake my daughter made. She treated my daughter with such disrespect and disdain. On top of that, she told us and my daughter that she's not allowed to get the coupon for the free buffet. Decided to publicly humiliate us in front of the other passengers on the bus. This hostess lacks tact, common courtesy, common decency, and doesn't know what "hospitality" means. I definitely WOULD NOT recommend Le Bus to anyone if they employ hostesses like Maria. If you do decide to get on Le Bus, make sure Maria isn't the hostess. read more

The bus blew a tire and so we wait and wait for a bus from Wendover to pick us up. It was announced over an hour ago but still no bus. We need our $44 back that we paid to enjoy a fun time at the casinos but WE ARE NOT THERE, WE ARE SITTING ON A DARK STRETCH OF ROAD AND ITS GETTING COLD. The sort of old-school casino bus packed with bennies that you rarely see anymore. $22 with the round trip but the bonus stuff you get nearly compensates for the whole thing. On weekdays there are two different buses - north from Ogden down to SLC (tho the SLC stop is currently out of commission so the closest you can get is Woods Cross near the Frontrunner station), then there's another bus that runs just south of SLC starting in Midvale up to West Valley City. On weekends a third bus goes from Provo thru all those southern cities in Mormonland between there and Lehi. On weekends apparently all the buses are always jammed full so they all go straight to Wendover after doing their pickups. On weekdays there's less traffic so they meet up at Sotherbys by North Temple and Redwood and converge everyone onto one bus for the trip to Wendover. You can make a reservation anytime by calling and giving your name, but you don't pay until you leave the last stop at Toelee, and it's cash only (collection taken up by the bus host and you get a stamp on your arm that serves as your ticket back home). You can walk up without a reservation at any stop but at peril of being rebuffed if all seats are full. Upon boarding you get a small bottle of water, and upon arriving at Wendover a coupon book. The most interesting things in there are a free buffet coupon good at either Montego Bay or Rainbow (which really is totally free even for the dinner buffet, just hand it to the cashier and go) and a $7 cash-out voucher you can just straight put into a cash machine for a $7 discount. I played thru to be a gentleman and got 6.75 back. That's the way of the world my friends. Also a free cocktail (of up to $5) and $5 free match play for the table games. All of these are good until the end of the current year so you can save them for a future trip ... which might come in handy with the buffets on the evening trip as they close at 8 and you get there at 7 *if* the bus is right on time. You can also play bingo on the trip there (lights out and quiet for sleeping if you return in the wee hours). Initial prizes are just snacks, but the final "blackout" game gets you $25 in free play if you win. The whole shebangabang is funded by the Peppermill peeps so the pick up/drop off locations are Montego Bay or Rainbow. You can opt to come back on a different day if you let them know ahead of time (they'll ask after the bus gets underway) and pay an extra $10 for the return trip. Buses are pretty nice, standard charter thing. Not high-end but not a beat up Greyhound either. I caught a decent nap on the way back. read more

We were in the Salt Lake City area and needed some repair on our Bus, not knowing where to take it we dug in and began to research... This is what we found. "Le Bus" THE BEST in our opinion!!! Not only a great travel service but a great place to go for those of us that need work on our Busses... Great Prevost Service We would like to share some info that may help someone needing work on their Prevost when traveling in the Salt Lake City vicinity. We recently had service done on our 2001 Prevost at Le Bus in Salt Lake City, UTAH. We usually take our Coach directly to a Prevost service location in Mira Loma, CA. Now that we are living in Idaho Falls, that's just a long way to go. We called Prevost directly they recommended LeBus in Salt lake City, UT. LeBus is a Charter company that is one of the largest charter companies using Prevost Passenger Busses. We called LeBus and spoke to Steve, who is the manager of the service department there. As long as there are no service busses needing work they can get you in. We were quite impressed with the team and the work they performed on our coach. We would highly recommend them. This is long so I do apologize in advance - I would absolutely not recommend Le Bus for going to Wendover. Save yourself time, money, and stress. A few weeks ago my boyfriend and I took the bus Friday night at 6 pm to get to Wendover around 8 pm, then it was to depart Wendover at 2 am and head back to SLC. We arrive to Wendover, the driver mentions "picking up at rainbow at 1:30 am, peppermill at 1:45 and leaving at 2 am." Not to mention we CHANGE time zones by an hour, not ONCE did the driver or anyone else with Le Bus mention if this is based off UT time of NV time. Keep in mind, we are IN Nevada, GAMBLING at casinos (not legal in UT), you would think they would go off Nevada time, but you'd be wrong as well and miss the bus back like us. But don't worry, when they parked at rainbow they were sure to ask for tips from us but did not clarify the time zone change, what time to be at the bus (UT/NV time) etc. Come 1:15 am NV time (2:15 UT time) my bf and I head outside rainbow to get on the bus. No bus or other bus patrons in sight. We walk to peppermill.. 1:45 rolls around 2 am.. no bus. I tried calling Le Bus and would you guess? They're closed phones are off. If you're running a business at these hours, you should have reps available to call. We walk into peppermill and are lucky to get a room at 2 am. Mind you the lady at the front desk says "this happens all the time with people who take the bus." I knew the next bus would be coming at 11 am and leaving at 5 pm. I called Le Bus to see how we can get on that bus back the guy told me "well the bus is full but you can ask the driver if there's seats open when they are ready to leave" which is $30 a ticket to walk on. I clarified with him it's leaving 5 pm UT time which is 4 pm NV time, he said yes, and let me know there are seats available on the 2 am bus that are $25 each. I asked if I bought the 2 am tickets, can that $25 go towards the $30 walk on seats, he said no. Money hungry company if you ask me. Paying $25 and $30 again to be on a bus with the same company. So what happens if we miss the last bus from Wendover to SLC as they don't run on weekdays? I don't know and I did not want to find out. So we bought tickets for the 2 am bus to make sure we had a ride back. - another $50 on top of the $50 we spent on the bus the night before getting to Wendover. We then sit around Wendover until 5 pm, find the driver of the bus and luckily they had seats open. Now $60 to get us on the bus; so in all we've spent $160 on transportation with Le Bus. And 15+ hours after we were originally supposed to leave. You would think they would allow some sort of transfer of tickets/cost in this kind of situation. How many people are they leaving in Wendover if the front desk lady at the hotel says this happens often? What happens if someone missed the last bus out of Wendover? They just leave their patrons stranded? Ubers and Lyfts aren't out there or available, if they were they're still $150+. If I give you my phone number at the time I book my ticket, why not send a simple automated text "Le Bus is leaving in X amount of time. Be sure to be outside." Extremely frustrating and unprofessional company in my opinion. read more

The bus was always spotless and comfortable. I am not great at traveling on mountain roads and I can tell you that Kirt's driving made me feel completely safe. We were a group of 20 and he treated each person with dignity and respect. His knowledge of the area was an added bonus to the trip. Very poor bus company to work with. Had the unfortunate experience of having to use them twice now. First trip a while back from now the driver put all the passengers in great danger and attempted to reverse on the highway. Most recent was sadly not a great one either. Dispatch provided the incorrect driver number. Then the driver was not friendly at all, yet after stating that he couldn't answer his phone while on his way to us, after back and forth with dispatch not knowing when our bus was coming or who the driver was, he did answer and talk multiple times on his radio....mmm, seems like he's contradicted him self to me. Despite giving him a tip for a very short drive, he didn't help with any bags either way, yet just grumbled and walked back on to his bus. Do not use this company if you can help it! read more

Let's just talk about bus 4118 and the horrible ride we had to and from Wendover. Hostess and driver were amazingly rude and even told us we weren't guaranteed shit when asked if a refund would happen for people in the group that didn't show. The bus was scorching, no air flow at all, fumes from the engine were potent, making everyone feel nauseous and on top of all of that, the bathroom was broken and they didn't inform anyone until already on the road. Lebus to Wndover. I made a reservation to take Lebus to Wendover Nevada. My wife and I arrived at the pick up point in American Fork Utah 30 minutes early to make sure we wouldn't miss the bus. After waiting 45 minutes fter the scheduled pick up time I called Lebus. They informed they were running behind. We waited an additional 20 minutes, and called again only to be informed the bus had already come and left the American fork location. We were parked in a location that there is no possible way we could have missed the bus. This establishment is not honest and lies to its customers especially if their buses are behind schedule. These people will leave you behind to maintain their schedule. This has happened to us on three occasions. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! read more

A great deal to get to Wendover from Northern Utah (Clearfield) Although the buses could use a little more clean up (kind of like the greyhound) the driver and host were great & super friendly. The bus leaves promptly at 5:05 from Kent's and then stops in Bountiful & SLC (Rose Park). The Salt Lake stop did hold us up 20 min so that was kind of annoying- also majority of the passengers hopped on in slc. We went on a Tuesday so we thought it'd be a little quieter/less crowded but the bus was almost full after the stop in Rose Park. Just a few rowdy loud passengers towards the back who kept talking over the hostess while she was giving instructions (for some of us, it was our first time) but it's a great deal and includes bingo play/drink on the bus, a free buffet at either Montego Bay or Rainbow, $7 free play, a complimentary drink and a discounted gift from the shop & pick up from Montego or Rainbow @ the designated times. I think there are restrictions on the weekends with locations/times since there's two buses that head that way. read more
