Warning: this business took over the original LeCharme Nail Salon using the same products and advertisement of the old name. Some old staff are still there as well. New business management and new business name: Magnolia Nail Spa 4 The inside of the shop is still the same as old business Le Charme but it's not the same. Service and quality isn't the same under their old manager Ryan. I personally felt like it was a trap that they continue to use the LeCharme name and website when they had clearly changed. I was confused when I arrived and saw the name change but still gave them a chance as I had booked an appointment via Le Charme website and only had that day to get my nails done before going to a wedding on the West Coast. Also, even though I had an Spa Pedicure appointment for 10AM (opening time) I still had to wait. Other customers came in (either appt or walk in) and were seen first... they also had to call for more Nail technicians to come. I sat at the manicure station flipping through gel color templates waiting for Nail tech to see me. I already choose but waiting, at one point they had forgotten me until someone asked me what I wanted and I had to repeat myself again. I picked a spa pedicure treatment and selected gel as I heard gel last longer. It was my first time getting gel but I wanted to look my best for the wedding I'll be attending. I asked for paraffin wax for my feet and callus treatment. They were confused and said paraffin is already included in the spa package (I remember it is usually for heel only and I wanted for the entire feet) but they insisted it was included and for the entire feet, so I said okay and let them do their thing. Service was decent but my nail tech had rushed and missed a few spot. She didn't apply the polish carefully and throughly. It was like coloring your hair, they always leave a gap from the hairline so you can return for touchup. In my pic, you can see my toes didn't look as nice and pic was taken about 1.5-2hrs later (after appointment, I had quick lunch and went straight home). While I did enjoy the spa pedicure, because I wanted to pamper my feet, she was abit rough at times and rushed it. And no, she didn't apply paraffin wax to the entire feet; just the heel. I was willing to pay extra but they didn't do that. If you don't know, paraffin wax help rehydrate and trap in moisture and it's particularly effective for those who often get calluses to help in removing dead skin, and healing dry patches. It acts like a form of heat therapy and can help increase blood flow, relax muscles, and decrease joint stiffness. It can also minimize spasms and inflammation as well as treat sprains. When it was time to pay, I thought I would have to shell out more for everything as I didn't know what the actual cost would be. I wanted Spa Pedicure package with Gel Color. Callus Treatment $10, Gel pedicure $55 & Spa Pedicure $45. I had assumed they would charge abit extra for the Gel coloring ontop of the Spa Pedicure package. After I paid and walked out (no receipt was given to me and I had hope to take a pic of the bill but the total was present quickly to me and was out of my view) and walked down the street, the owner lady came out chasing me saying I needed to pay more. I follow back and she said something else was charged to me.. again wasn't able to see the bill and had to trust her word and paid more. I finally left and disappointed later on when I examined my feet at home. I think its time to find a new Nail Salon. read more

Ann is super sweet and I really appreciated her patience with my nails. I had a 7pm appointment, arrived at 6:55pm and got seated just around 7:05pm. There were a gold amount of people and they were turning walk-ins away. I'd schedule an appointment if possible, just to secure a spot. I asked for SNS dip powder in a milky white color and wanted short square tapered nails. I think she rounded the edges a tad bit so the shaping is off. They look more on the wide side and I didn't realize it until I got home. However, I did go at the end of the day and I'd probably go back one more time during a different time and see how it compares. The color I got was really cute and I love it. 4 stars for the service and one star off for shaping but I'd go back for the services by Ann alone. I have high hopes for the next visit. read more

When I first started coming to this nail salon, I absolutely loved it. The vibe was relaxing, the space was beautiful, and they went the extra mile--even offering a jelly-like soak for a standard pedicure, which felt like such a nice touch. Everything was clean and felt fresh. Lately, however, my experience has changed quite a bit. The salon doesn't seem to be as well-maintained as it used to be. There's noticeable dust everywhere from the nail buffer machines, and I often leave with debris on my clothes and even on my phone. The storefront glass is also visibly dirty, which just adds to the overall feeling that cleanliness isn't being prioritized anymore. I do want to say that the women who work there are absolutely wonderful--kind, skilled, and always welcoming. My review has nothing to do with them personally. It's just the environment that feels off now, and it takes away from what used to be a really relaxing experience. I truly hope the salon can return to the high standards it once had because it has so much potential. read more

I've been going to Le Charme for years and had mostly positive experiences, so I thought long and hard before writing this review. I went in for a regular manicure and pedicure. The pedicure went great and was quite relaxing. Then when we transitioned to the manicure tables, the only station available was cluttered with food and other people's bags. The technician didn't soak my nails to loosen the cuticles, instead she pulled out one of the nail dremels (usually used for acrylics) and used it on my natural nails. After she was done my cuticles were bloody and my nails had deep scratches and grooves into them. I was in shock and went to wash my hands and tried to decide what to do. The manager came to check on me because she could see that I was upset and settled me down, I stayed for the rest of the manicure. But now hands of hurt this entire week, randomly bleed and my ring finger is starting to get infected. The staff there is really nice, but I need to share this story because clearly they are not properly training their technicians. I also didn't see them using disinfected tools. I think the tools she used on me were used on other clients, which probably explains the infection. I will be finding a new go-to nail salon. read more

This was my first time at Le Charme and I wanted to go low and slow as opposed to dropping a wad of $$ on a bad experience. And, while I can't comment on prior management and previous technicians, I can say that my nail tech, Nicole, took her time on my paraffin mani & pedi and it was one of the best mani pedis I've ever had. Nicole was very thorough and precise--not a rush-job like most other salons. I asked for my nails to be cut short with an oval shape and Nicole obliged, checking in with me from time to time to ask if what she did was what I wanted. For the 2.5 hours I was there I observed other nail techs doing nail art for their customers and these customers, too, we're delighted with the service they received. The techs were all happy, laughing and interacting with their customers. The manager popped in at one point and gave all of the customers a bottle of water. I didn't find this salon to be any more hectic than other salons I've been at and they accommodated appointments, callers who were running late, and walk-ins. It was a decent salon. Recent few visits, tech work so fast. They're not catching how rough they're getting. Last visit 3 weeks ago. The usual SNS, was bizarre. She put on 3 base coats, then back n forth with color about 6 dips. Then a few more of the original base. Finished up by filing the surfcace entire surface. A base & 2 more color dips. I didn't want extreme point. 3 nails are pointy. The nail is growing out and the finished color growth is so thick. It's almost funny! What went on to get this off, was torture. I don't understand what's up with salons lately. They went back to loud non English too. Two other clients complained, but they were honestly not especially nice. read more

I used to go here regularly for powder dip nails & pedicures. But I stopped going for a while when they started allowing an older lady to continually do my pedicure as she would rush thru the spa pedi & her massage was not good. I returned yesterday & specifically made a pedi appt. with the tech I wanted only for me to get there & they switched me to a girl who had NO CLUE what she was doing. The tech I requested was sitting next to her working on someone else & was giving my tech instructions on what to do. I don't know if they thought I wouldn't notice the switch. The lady was nice but my nail polish is clumpy & disappointing - not worth what I spent. I was going to make an appt. for dip nails & a pedi for vacay in 3w. but based on yesterday's visit they have unfortunately lost a customer as I won't return. read more

I got a spa pedicure and gel manicure, as well as eyebrow waxing and I was very satisfied with all 3. The spa pedicure was very relaxing and even included a 20 minute massage which was great. It's a shame because this used to be the best nail salon in bay ridge. After new management took over recently, most of the original nail techs from le charme are no longer there. Management also doesn't have enough people working to cover the phones so everyone is running around like lunatics. The hot water didn't work so they were filling buckets from a sink in the back to pour into the foot bath (lol). I had 3 separate people work on my feet in 20 minutes. Someone came in yelling at everyone because they triple booked every time slot. It was the opposite of relaxing. read more
